I contacted Bull City Plumbing based off a recommendation. They were prompt in getting back with me and even setting a same day appointment. They were on-time, did great work, and were reasonably priced. We will absolutely use them again.

Tray was great. Very professional and helpful. He even tried to install a bidet seat I had bought with it but had got wrong kind (round vs elongated). It was my fault but he reinstalled original seat without any complaint in minutes. Very much appreciated.

We had a faucet in one of our bathtubs stop working, and couldn't get the water to shut off. I called Bull City Plumbing and Matthew was out to our house in less than an hour! He was great; he explained what happened, what he was doing to fix the problem, and gave me some tips on how to address minor issues in the future. He even checked on a few additional small items before he left. He was very friendly and helpful and I felt very comfortable with his repair.

Based on my experience with them, don't go with these folks unless you want to pay $ 100 more than other plumbers would charge. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but my experience with Bull City Plumbing was so disappointing that I had to leave a note of warning for future customers. I am a real customer, and had them come out to fix a leak under my kitchen sink on June 8, 2018. Here is the good: they are very responsive on YELP, and actually came when they said they would. And they did the job. And that's where the bad--or I should say exorbitantly costly--start. They put in a 99$ garbage disposal under my sink (i checked the price). They arrived at my house at 9:20 or so, ran to a store to pick it up, came back, installed it, and were out by 10:15. In other words, including the driving to the store to get the item time, they spent less than an hour in my house. The bill was for $ 360.13. Ouch. I got suspicious that it was not itemized, but as a whole item. So I called them, and asked for a clarification since most plumbers charge 100-150 per hour. In other words, the total should have been $250 (which I would have gladly paid). Here was where the difficulty started. The owner (Tray, who had been very charming and funny until then) started referring me to their secretary who answers the phone. She told me to get quotes from other people. I got quotes from two other people who also had five stars on YELP, and it was $ 140 for installing and $150 for installing. I reported it back to them, and they still refused to adjust the price. The secretary actually told me that I was paying for their office, the secretary, insurance, etc. I have been a home owner for 20 years, and have had lots of experiences with plumbers, but this was really disappointing. I gave them lots of chances to do right, but they refused. I think what is particularly disappointing is that I really liked to recommend them for their work, but I think their greedy and frankly unreasonable prices are something that customers should be on guard about. Sadly, avoid unless you want to pay $100 more than you should.

When our hot water heater stopped working, we called various plumbers around the area, but Bull City Plumbing was the most responsive and able to service us the soonest. They came, immediately diagnosed the issue, and fixed it even faster than promised and with a very friendly attitude. Highly recommend.

Bull City Plumbing performs our annual backflow preventer inspections at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Durham. We just started using them a little more than a year ago. They also replaced some of our flush valves on urinals and toilets. We are pleased with them. Ken Gasch

Second time calling this power couple in the help with plumbing issues. Both times they’ve done more than they charged me for to make my house’s plumbing better long term. When they inadvertently installed a faulty part the first time, they came right out and fixed it immediately at no extra charge. They’ve worked on my fridge, kitchen sink, washer, and external house faucet. Couldn’t be happier with the work they’ve done. I’ll continue to call them when I our cute (but older) home needs a plumber’s attention. Thanks, guys!

We had a pipe 'burst' in the middle of the night. After getting the water turned off and calling the insurance company I started researching plumbers. Bull City had rave reviews so I gave them a ring even though they aren't 24hrs/day because I was willing to wait for exceptional service. Someone actually picked up (at 5am!) which was amazing.

The work completed was good (it ended up not being a very complicated issue) but we did have some issues on the first visit. HOWEVER, the owner himself came to make things right. His professionalism and commitment to honest, good work was very admirable and I am happy with the service he provided. I believe our original issue was an anomaly and am confident that Bull City will continue to live up to it's reputation.

I've called Bull City out for 2 different jobs now and I highly recommend them. They have always been extremely responsive--even calling back on a weekend night for an emergency leak--always on time, and a great value. The team is incredibly professional and did a beautiful job installing our new shower assembly. They are courteous and great with our anxious puppy who tends to bark at strangers. I will be using them for all of our plumbing needs.

We've used a variety of plumbers at our house, and Bull City Plumbing is by far the best. The owner, Tray Boone, is an awesome guy and a great plumber. He quickly diagnosed a problem we were having with the hot water in our shower and fixed it during a subsequent visit in the amount of time it took me to walk my dogs around the block. I've had other plumbers try to charge an arm and a leg for parts, but Tray had the new shower part directly shipped to us at no cost. I'd definitely use Bull City Plumbing again, and encourage you to give them a call.

Very pleased with the work they did. I had to have my pressure valve regulator replaced and was quoted almost double by another company which seemed high. As a small, local company, they were able to ensure quality at a good price. Would recommend.

I chose Bull City Plumbing due to their positive reviews, and boy am I glad! Kenny came out very quickly to check out my water heater and determined that my thermostats were shot. He came prepared with everything he needed and replaced both thermostats right away. Just as a precaution, he pulled the top heat element out so we could inspect it and it looks like new, so we decided to leave that alone. I am very happy with how fast the work was done, how I was treated and how fair the price was. I will use them again and will recommend them to everyone!

I can't say enough about what a comfort it is to have a trustworthy, honest plumber! Tray is great, as is the rest of the team...always responsive and punctual, with clear communication. I had a kid emergency come up and couldn't be there when Tray came to fix a couple toilets, but knowing I could leave my home open to him and still get the work done was a HUGE relief! Would recommend Tray and Bull City Plumbing to anyone!!

We had been without hot water for 3 weeks, even though we had been working with one company to fix/replace the hot water heater. I called Bull City Plumbing in hopes to get a second option on what the issue was. Tray came by within the hour. He was able to manually lite the pilot light which fixed the problem. However, because of the age of the hot water heater and we had been looking to replace the Apollo system, we had Tray replace the existing hot water heater with a free standing gas hot water heater. Tray presented us with reasonable options. He was on time with the next appointment to install the new water heater, of which works great!. In addition, we had notifications regarding the appointment and knew we were in good hands. We could not be more pleased with our experience with Tray and everyone we had contact with at Bull City Plumbing. We highly recommend this company!,

We reached out to Bull City plumbing in need of a backflow preventer repair and testing. I discussed the fix needed and he quoted me a reasonable price. He was upfront about a possible need for full replacement and pricing for that as well. He was VERY quick in the process due to our deadline coming up quickly. (we had lots of trouble with a couple other companies prior). He was able to get the permit pulled to repair and test our system the same day! Would definitely recommend them again. Tray even took the time to teach me how to disassemble and winterize the system to avoid this problem in the future!

I have used Bull City Plumbing for numerous jobs over several years. They are honest and reliable and in my view fairly priced. They can schedule jobs promptly and have always been quick to handle urgent issues.

This is the best plumber we've used in Durham! We bought a new house and all three toilets needed work. They came out promptly and fixed the issues with reasonable prices. One toilet started leaking again later the same day, and they came out the next morning and repaired it at no extra cost. If you have plumbing needs, Bull City Plumbing is the best!
