I had a fantastic experience with Air Shield. They were timely, offered fair pricing, and clearly knew their stuff. What impressed me most was that they fixed a problem another company had caused, yet never spoke negatively about them—just focused on getting the job done right. They got us warm on one of the coldest nights since December 2022, which meant so much to our family. Honest, reliable, and professional from start to finish. Highly recommend Air Shield!

Victor with Air Shield truly went above and beyond with. his customer service. From the very beginning, he was prompt in responding and kept clear communication throughout the entire process.
Thanks to his expertise and efficiency, our home was warm again in no time. You can immediately tell that Victor takes pride in his work-his professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail are absolutely amazing. It's rare to find someone so dedicated, honest, and genuinely focused on making sure the customer is taken care of.
I would highly recommend Victor and Air Shield to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality heating and cooling service. I will definitely be using them again in the future! -
We recently had both of our HVAC systems replaced by AirShield Heating & Cooling, and the entire experience was absolutely exceptional. Victor and his crew went above and beyond in every possible way - both in the quality of their work and in the level of customer service they provided.
From the very first interaction, Victor took the time to sit down with us and walk through the entire process. He explained our options clearly, answered every question with patience, and made sure we understood what to expect. What stood out the most was how genuine and customer-focused he was - never once did it feel like he was trying to sell us something. Instead, he made us feel informed, comfortable, and confident in our decisions.
The installation itself was top‑notch. The team was professional, efficient, respectful of our home, and committed to getting everything just right. You can tell they take real pride in their work.
If I could give AirShield and Victor’s team 10 stars, I would. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough!! -

Horrible company. DO NOT USE FOR ANY REPAIRS.... This was by far the worst restoration/contractor/service company I have ever dealt with in any city I've ever lived in. It would take days to write out every single detail of where they messed up or lied or were just completely incompetent in the repairs to our home.
It started with Hurricane Michael back in October of 2018. We had a tree go through our roof while we were home, scaring our kids and destroying our roof. I asked a friend of mine who is an insurance agent if he knew of a company that could come out quickly. He called around and one of his guys had recommended Spangler. They came out the next morning and removed the tree and tarped the roof to prevent further water damage(at least that was what we thought).
Weeks went by and we had not received any plans as to when our roof would be fixed. Rain continued to pour down and was coming into our attic and getting underneath the tarp. Calls to Spangler were left unanswered and we continued to get the run around when our roof would be repaired. The excuses started to come in from Spangler that there was confusion on their end because they didn't know if the Greensboro or Raleigh office was taking our job. Having listened to that I knew that we were in for a long and painful situation.
Their estimator came out at the same time as our insurance adjuster came to do the estimate. Well, after their estimater(who they said had since left the company) estimated multiple areas of the home that weren't damaged and things were listed incorrectly on their form they said they had to bring out another guy who would do it correctly. That took an additional 2 weeks. So meanwhile, we're in the middle of DECEMBER now. Once the new estimator came out and looked over and took his notes he said he'd take that back to our insurance agent and things would get taken care of. After that happened and I told them that I'm not sure what we were waiting on as the insurance adjuster had already came out, they said the'yd just use that estimate to do the repairs....which struck me as completely ridiculous as we just wasted 2 additional weeks waiting on the new estimator to come out only to be told that they were going to use the existing estimate from our insurance agent.
After that, they said they'd be out to fix the roof on Tuesday, which as luck would have it was planned for after the foot of snow that was coming our way. So its mid December, still no roof, and now a foot of snow on our house with just a tarp.
Finally, they "fixed" the roof. I had to go up into the attic to ensure that all of the areas that had been damaged were fixed. Except for the fact that I found one area that the roofers decided just to cover up with a 2x6 block of wood instead of replacing the entire piece of plywood. I immediately called Robert and he said itd be taken care of. The next day I got home and asked if it had been handled to which i was told "yes, i can show you pictures". I told them that was unnecessary and that I would check it. They had already put the new shingles on and of course when I go up in the attic to look again, the same block of wood is still there covering the hole. I got the roofer up there and showed it to him to which he said "its not a big deal, we can just seal around the edges, its fine". I said that there is no way we are paying for a new roof when all it was was patchwork. He complained about the fact theyd have to rip up the new roof just to replace that board. I told them thats their issue and that I advised them of this problem prior to them putting new shingles on. That was finally fixed but delayed the roof another day. So now it took 1 week to put on a new roof that should have taken no more than 2 days. In total it took 3+ months for them to fix just the roof. I told them that I would repair the inside of the house myself which included new ceilings in 3 rooms and new carpet. MYSELF! There are so many other things that went wrong but I'm out of space and patience. Feel free to ask for the rest. NEVER USE THEM. -
Our house was severely damaged in the hailstorm on September 1. We hired Spangler because they were recommended by their competitor CRC, who was already booked out with repairs. Spangler quoted us a 3 week job, and we signed the contract in early October, after going back and forth with insurance.
The "3 week job" took them until the end of March (nearly 6 months) to finish. Delay after delay. I can't count the number of times I was told that someone's van or truck had broken down, and you'd think a construction company would properly maintain their vehicles and equipment. They also claimed weather issues, but there were strings of bright, warm, clear days where they never showed up, or bothered to reach out to us at all. I had to constantly call their project coordinator, who would promise me that the crew would be on site the next day, only to have them not show until a week or two later.
The roof repairs and interior paint work were spot on, and finished early. The siding took forever for them to get to, but it generally looks decent. They left a lot of minor damage to the siding trim all around the house, though.
However, the repair work they did on our deck was awful. Despite 4 coats, the stain is splotchy and uneven because they never stripped the original stain. They left their painters tape up, which I had to take down myself. Some of the tape can't be removed because trim went up over it, leaving several thin strips that can be clearly seen. And all the new wood is attracting carpenter bees, a problem we don't have anywhere else.
They failed to properly install a $220 custom screened pet door we purchased because the crew didn't read the instructions, and they didn't keep the door sweep that came in the box. They had to come back out, and they installed a third party sweep that looks like they spent all of $2 to buy instead of one that matches the door. They installed it unevenly, so there are several gaps, allowing wasps into the screened-in area.
During the process of this job, I was told several times by Spangler's subcontractor, D&R, that they had fired a different member of the crew for incompetence. Not at all confidence-inspiring.
I will never hire Spangler or D&R for another job. -
We had an issue in a residents apartment and Spangler Restoration came out and went to work. Tim was great through the process, he even took the time to help our resident understand how to ask questions of her insurance company so she can get her damaged items replaced. I would highly recommend Spangler Restoration!

Kelly Ziegler and the Spangler Restoration team are phenomenal. They take care of what needs to be done without me having to worry about whether or not my properties will be restored properly. Customer service from them is the best and I recommend them to anyone or any company needing restoration services.
