If I could give 20 stars I would! I’ve never had a more professional, experienced crew take care of our HVAC needs. Above that, they are kind, honest, and go out of their way to take care of their customer. They are a family business and they made us feel like we are family. I cannot recommend them enough.

Akram and Abdul are experts in HVAC systems. They diagnosed and fixed our heating system quickly, on the same day. We are glad that we didn’t have to go through freezing temperatures without heating system.

The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. I was without heat, they diagnosed the problem and were able to repair it the following day. I was in a bind and the company that serviced my unit for 10 years was going to take almost a week to get back to repair it. Fortunately, my best friend highly recommended this company. I will definitely be using them moving forward. It was an excellent experience all the way around.

Excellent service! Akram was wonderful, kind and helpful. We’re so thankful he was the company/person our home warranty company had sent to us! He was highly knowledgeable and extremely thorough. It was nice and refreshing after 10 years of dealing with other HVAC companies, who tend to just patch things up. He found large leaks, extreme rust , so much so, the fan would no longer move, and a mold issue that had taken over the inside unit. All of which had been overlooked by others, and was never brought to our attention! Really great service, thank you!!

Chris and Hunter are really great plumbers. We needed our toilet completely replaced. They both came in and pretty much changed it out so quick. Cleaning up after they were done. I highly recommend this company!

Bobby Cole came out today to do the spring maintenance on my unit. He also installed an ionizer unit and went into detail of how it worked. Bobby was great! I would like to have him as my preferred service person. Everyone at Cape Fear have always been good to work with. Thanks!

I used Cape Fear to replace all polybutylene piping in my home. We didn't have a pipe burst, we just wanted to have peace of mind and check this off our list. We spent a few weeks gathering quotes from different companies, and ultimately chose Cape Fear due to the cost and from how friendly Chris and Hunter were from the start. We didn't decide to to the work until a few months later, and Cape Fear was happy to honor the original quote, which we appreciated.

Chris and Hunter spent a few days working at our home and they were great. Chris was incredibly responsive to our questions in person and through text. I would recommend working with them to anyone who needs similar work done.

We've been doing business with Cape Fear for a few years now. They have serviced our home HVAC as well as installed a new mini-split system for our bonus room back in 2021. They are very friendly and professional. They communicate with us every step of the way during any problem they are investigating.

And, I can honestly say that they do not make promises they cannot keep. We had a new heat pump installed but the compressor ended up being defective. This was a York brand system installed by them 2 years ago. But Bobby came to diagnose the issue, identified the problem and had our system up and working again in no time flat. All covered under warranty. I was so relieved that it is ready for all the hot summer weather now. I will use Cape Fear for all our heating and cooling issues in the future.

After we were told by another company that repairs to our older unit would cost more than $3500, we called Cape Fear to give a second opinion. They sent Kevin Blasingim the next day and he was able to repair our a/c for $500. Kevin was very professional and genuinely wanted to just do the right thing at a fair price. Cape Fear listened to us and understanding our situation helped to buy us a little more time before replacement will be needed.

Bobby from Cape Fear is very resourceful and friendly. He has tons of knowledge and always listens to my problems. Definitely recommend him!

Just received the most professional and informative service from Bobby at Cape Fear Heating and Air Conditioning in all our 40+ years as a home owner. His demeanor and obvious expertise conveyed our total confidence in his work and recommendations. Feel so fortunate to have he and Cape Fear looking after our heat and air conditioning equipment.

My newer heat pump (less than a year old) stopped pushing cold air after noon today (7/21/2025), so, I called the office to get on their technicians' schedule. I knew they'd be busy and unlikely to get to the house until tomorrow, but, crossed by fingers. Bobby C. arrived at my house just after 6:00 pm, figured out the problem with a couple minutes, had the issue resolved, and wrapped-up the visit within 30 minutes. Just like others I've met with Cape Fear, Bobby was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and put me at ease. I definitely appreciate this company and its staff.

We have always had positive experiences with Cape Fear--they did our HVAC installation in 2020 and we have been very pleased with the work they did. They are also super responsive--Bobby came out the same day when we had a gas problem from a faulty regulator (which was original to when the house was built, *not* installed by them). He did a careful and super complete inspection to ensure he knew how to fix our issues and then came back the next day and really took the time to ensure that our whole system was thoroughly tuned up and clean in addition to installing the new regulator.

Bobby was super knowledgeable and helpful when guiding us through the problem and fix--he definitely made the whole process much easier and we really appreciated his attention to detail.

I hired Cape Fear Air, Electric & plumbing out of Raleigh, NC in Oct. 2024 three months after my husband died Aug.4, 2024.
The contractor took advantage of my situation and charged me $28,000 dollars for HVAC install and I ask the company for estimated item list and they refused. The paper they gave to me has a bottom line total with no explanation of what cost what. They will not even service the Small unit they put under my house. Widows should be very careful of this company out of Raleigh. They are not with the BBB only the one out of Fayetteville is with BBB. I have grieved my husbands death and more grief was added because I had no husband to help me.
Beware of Cape Fear Air, Electric, & plumbing . I wish I had not looked up Duke Energy recommendation that gave this company.
Duke Energy will not stand by the customer when these companies they recommended over charge you.
Beware of this company. I know I will never get any of my money back but my eyes are open to how wolves are now.

Be very careful before you hire this company. They installed a defective hvac into my home, or improperly installed it, or both, and refused to work w me for exchange. I even offered them more money. Unit was un-installed by another company and everything is fine w second unit. I asked Cape Fear to come pick up their defective unit and they ignored my request. I then had to rent a truck for return. Do not use this company, they will turn their back on you when you need them most. During the install they also unhooked the Duke Energy saver control and they didn't bother to ask if I wanted it reconnected or not. Seems like that should have been a choice. They just left it sitting there with open wires. You would think they could of at least taped them off or something. This review will become much longer in the near future to further explain how unreal this whole situation has been. Sad, because they actually caused this whole thing to spiral.

We were already happy with them for our HVAC.. they installed a system and have been maintaining it. Yesterday we needed their plumbing help. They sent a team the same day. Friendly, professional, and not only solved the problem, but fixed it in a way that it is not likely to ever happen again. Thank You CFAEP!

We just had our 17 year old systems replaced in October 2024 by Cape Fear. Josh P. was our rep and he was extremely knowledgeable. He helped us find the best units for our home, showed up each day during install to answer questions, and followed up multiple times after installation just to make sure we were happy and not having any issues. Today we had our 6-month checkup and Bobby C. was our technician. He was polite, asked great questions, and tuned the system to make it just a little more efficient. A great company with great people…we highly recommend Cape Fear!
