Bobby Cole was very helpful and polite. We have been a long time customer of Cape Fear and always have had a good experience.

The team (Josh & JJ, plus 1 more) for Cape Fear Air was a pleasure to work with. They did a thorough survey of my project, were responsive and detailed in the proposal. My installation was right on time and the technicians were helpful in explaining the technology, systems, and any follow-up required. The solution they provided was exactly as I needed, and I feel very proud of the investment in a new system. There were absolutely no shortcuts taken to insure a good install.

Cape Fear Raleigh installed my HVAC system and performs annual maintenance. The service is fantastic. The staff, especially Bobby, is always prompt, professional, and does a thorough inspection of the system. I am so happy I chose Cape Fear for my HVAC needs!

They have been great since first contact after being referred through Duke Energy. We needed a new water heater and were looking to upgrade to the heat pump water heaters. They came out and gave a free estimate for both the HPWH and a traditional like for like replacement. They walked me through everything they planned and didn’t push to make a decision right then. When they came back to do the work everyone was professional and did great work. Price was in line with estimate exactly. They’ve also been very responsive to questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again. Special shoutout to Kieth who was lead on our project.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Cape Fear Air, Electric, & Plumbing to replace my central air system, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. As a Shriner, I had heard positive things about their services and decided to give them a try. From start to finish, the team exceeded my expectations.
Exceptional Project Management:
Jeff, the project manager, was thorough and professional throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain every detail, ensuring I was comfortable with the plan. His expertise and attention to detail made the project run smoothly and on schedule.
Top-Notch Installation Team:
The HVAC technicians, Tom and Max, were outstanding. They arrived on time for the appointment and were always respectful and professional. They wore protective booties when entering my home, demonstrating their commitment to cleanliness. Their efficiency and neat workmanship were evident as they installed the new system seamlessly.
Overall Outstanding Service:
Every team member I interacted with was courteous and dedicated to providing excellent service. Their professionalism and respectfulness made the entire experience stress-free. I highly recommend Cape Fear Air, Electric, & Plumbing to anyone in need of HVAC services. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable -
Great experience from the start to the finish! Cape Fear's team leader, Josh, was extremely helpful, accessible, and always addressed all my concerns to find me the best HVAC possible for my home. His install team, technician, and inspection supervisor were all very courteous, responsive, knowledgeable and professional. In the end I have a great HVAC! The only thing I would recommend is to follow up with Trane manufacturer regarding the accuracy of the Trane thermostat, sometimes it varies a couple of degrees from the real inside temp and therefore periodically over cools. Overall, working with Cape Fear HVAC has been wonderful and I highly recommend! I love my new HVAC!

Always do great work. Have used them for our annual maintenance on our HVAC. Always on time and get the job done. Bobby Cole went above and beyond to make our visit a positive one.

Had Bobby Cole do my 6 month maintenance and was excellent. Answered all my questions and did a follow review of an issue from six months ago. Good job!

Had both our HVAC units replaced a few years ago by Cape Fear and no trouble since. We use the seasonal checks for our systems and that keeps everything up to date. The service team is great to work with. Rodney came by for the fall inspection and thoroughly checked everything out. He even alerted me to the rust on the gas line so I could address it. That's checking the whole system. Appreciate these folks.

They installed an HVAC system a month ago and they have only had to come out once to cap a wire that was sticking out since then. No big deal. When I asked about getting the crawlspace floor covered or getting an i-Wave-R installed I receive only short email replies that don't answer the questions. I'm posting this review because they need to see it and do something to step up their game when it comes to customer questions and communications with the customer. I received quotes from two other companies with a complete breakdown on the crawlspace including PVC pipe costs. These are the questions and answers via Email from Cape Fear for these two things.
I asked for a breakdown of the costs for the crawlspace.
Answer: Dehumidifier-$2,963.00, Vapor barrier- $2,565.00
I asked if I could monitor the iWave-R status by a light to see that it was working or the air at the floor vents.
Answer: There is a light on the inline switch.
I wrote back: Isn't it installed inside the unit?
Answer: It's all inside the equipment, wiring and the switch.
Apparently the I-Wave-R has a means of at least a light external to the unit. Cape Fear I hope you're listening because I was ready to pull the trigger on these two things. -
Kyle was polite and thorough. He informed me of what he was going to do. He was efficient , and he completed both units inside the allotted time window . He was an excellent technician. I would recommend him to service your unit(s) without hesitation.

We've been customers for 8 years and have always been very satisfied with the service received. We have bi-annual maintenance performed on our HVAC systems. The technicians are always very professional and take time to do a thorough job and share details of the condition of the equipment. Bobby C. was the technician that most recently completed our service. He was very helpful in pointing out a risk for possible water damage due to the way a contractor had configured drainage lines, and recommended actions we can take to mitigate the risk.

My experience with cape fear has always been great. My technician Bobby Cole was professional and honest. I will look to request him again in the future.

I purchased a Goodman 2.5 ton from Cape Fear about 2 years ago. I had a problem with the unit and the Cape Fear technician came out and diagnosed the issue as the reversing valve and said it would take 4 to 5 hours or longer (possibly all day) to evacuate the system and replace the value. We waited on the part about 2 weeks. In that time I tried to get the part number from them but they would not give it to me, even though I paid the $100.00 diagnostic fee. On the day it was replaced the technician was there for only 3 hours. The billing was $591.86 to replace the reversing valve and $1,060.31 and to put in 6 lbs of R-410A for a total of $1,652.17. I called and spoke to the manager because I thought I was paying for an all day labor job as the parts are under warranty. I ask him what is the hourly rate. He said they had fixed pricing and that I approved the work and pricing. I said I did under the impression it was going to be an all day job. He told me that the freon was not covered under warranty. This was not a separate charge on my bill so I ask him how much they charge for freon. He would not give me a price. I looked up the price and it seems to be about $10.00 per pound. So in summation, I paid about $500.00 an hour in labor cost and spoke to a manager that could not give me a part number or a cost on their freon, and was misled on the amount of time needed to fix the system.

Felix is a knowledgeable guy and did a thorough job with getting our heating up and running again.
Cape Fear is a company that cares about its customers. They've earned my trust and loyalty. -
Cape Fear does a great job and is always prompt with their services. I'd like to highlight Bobby Cole who recently administered our semi annual HVAC maintenance. He was extremely knowledgeable and transparent about our concerns and about the state of our system.
-
Bobby Cole was on time, very friendly, and got everything done quickly. I needed a little work done in addition to regular HVAC inspection/maintenance and it was a very reasonable price!
-
Had a water heater installed by Chris and Hunter. They were very prompt, courteous, patient and explained the do's and don'ts of the operation for my mother in law. Bobby also came out and does the AC and heat check ups for her and is amazing. Would highly recommend
-
Felix was absolutely great. Extremely thorough, went through every iteration of what could be wrong, and tested each. Then he showed me all of his work and how he came to the diagnosis. It was definitely reassuring given how expensive HVAC systems are. I would highly recommend him.
-
I have used Cape Fear for years on multiple properties. In my experience, they have provided excellent sales, install and service. Special shout out for Billy and Felix who came out the other day to do seasonal maintenance on our units. They were very thorough and detailed in communicating services performed...

2026 UPDATE: FIVE STARS and our thanks to Felix of the Raleigh division of Cape Fear Air, Electric & Plumbing for the complimentary inspection of our HVAC system (see photo). Installed in 2024, this TRANE system has worked perfectly, operated more quietly, and has provided all the up-to- date features we need to operate the system remotely or onsite. ––– 2025 UPDATE: FIVE STARS to Cape Fear Air, Electric & Plumbing for our annual 'checkups' of the new HVAC system installed in our home over one year ago! Service expert Kevin completed the inspection and everything is thumbs up! However, while working on our system, Kevin could hear a specific mechanical issue with our neighbors HVAC and and provided a valuable 'heads up' saving them thousands of dollars in repair or replacement costs! Thank you, Kevin!--- ORIGINAL POST 2024 – We love the new TRANE system in our home! FIVE STARS To Cape Fear Air, Plumbing, and Electrical of Raleigh for their responsiveness and superior job installing this new system during the peak of the heat wave in July 2024. Unfortunately, our 17-year-old Trane died during this period of record-breaking heat indexes. Josh Pitts, Cape Fear Project Manager, quickly and professionally responded with the right equipment at a fair price with an excellent install team. The installers, JJ and Spencer, did a SUPERIOR job removing the old equipment and installing the new system. The City of Raleigh inspector was very impressed and pleased with the top-notch quality of Cape Fear's installation (I accompanied him on the outside and inside inspection). In conclusion, there's no hesitation on FIVE STARS, and we highly recommend Cape Fear Air, Plumbing, and Electrical of Raleigh.
