The BEST option in town for plumbing contractors/GC's in Raleigh. Jon and his team are a pleasure to work with - I've been there a couple times since moving here in 2019 and receive outstanding customer service every time I walk through the door.

THAT is why I like Hajoca so much more than... the other plumbing supply options in town. They're not some corporate-owned behemoth, but the locally owned, personal-touch choice.

TRUCKERS!!!!! When you turn into parking lot you will go under a big tree. It will make you wonder if you will clear it (you will) drive through parking lot and through gates and it’s the first dock on the left. You can turn left to get out but eeeehhhh. Watch your turns but it’s doable.

When the job proved much more involved and complex than initial assessments, Brad called in assistance for additional hands/tools/perspectives He also went above and beyond what was necessary to solve the problem in order to provide the optimal solution. The final result was a re-routing of the main drain for my 100 year-old house and I have tremendous confidence in the result, not only for the moment but for long-term service and maintenance. A true gentleman and a true professional.

For context, I have used Optimal in the past to replace my water heater. I gave them a 5 star review for that experience (I deleted that review today). Recently, our garbage disposal died so naturally I scheduled with Optimal. Tech arrived, gave me 2 options I picked the more expensive model because it was stainless steel (InSinkerator Pro 750 3/4 HP—10 year part warranty). Price all in was $762.34–cool. However, after researching this unit I found that they run for around $300 or less. Considering the unit took less than an hour to install, I sent Optimal an email about the pricing discrepancy. Today I spoke with Lacey who offered me a 10% additional discount. She explained they don’t buy wholesale and pay more than what I saw online. I have a hard time understanding why their supply chain issue is impact my pricing. If you can’t get product for cheaper than what is offered to the general public, there is something very wrong there. She also explained they have to pay for the truck and they don’t keep the taxes, that is paid to the state—whatever. Bottom line is this—SHOP AROUND WHEN CONSIDERING OPTIMAL. I called 3 plumbers after speaking with Lacey (only because during our call she told me they had priced this service with other local plumbers and they were all over $700). All of the others I called were under $500–the lowest being $425.50. So best case even with the after the fact discount they offered I still overpaid by at least $200. $200 overpay is crazy in this economy, everyone is really sticking it us, the consumer. A few years ago I bought a brand new dishwasher and had it installed for about $860 dollars it really proves my point. A dishwasher purchased and installed was $860 (not with Optimal) but a garbage disposal is over $762? C’mon Optimal! I’m no genius but that doesn’t add up. The good news is I found my new plumber going forward. Don’t be like me, shop around and get your best price. Optimal will never be back to my home.
