I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Bernard Heating & Cooling (Bernard Mechanical). Just this past Sunday I woke to noticeably cool temps in the house, thermostat reading 57*. Of course it happens on a Sunday, with heavy snow falling (again). Bernard was the 9th company I contacted. The first 8 either didn’t answer, didn’t call back, or did not service boilers. Got a return call immediately from Ben at Bernard, who was willing to try to postpone a scheduled (non-emergency) service call if possible, and reassured me either way, he’d get to me within a couple of hours at most. He called again to say he did rescheduled the other appointment and was on his way! He arrived and got to work, finding that the problem required a part he didn’t have with him. He made a call, then drove, in the snow, a half hour there and back with the part. Turns out it was dark before he had completed all repairs and heat was working, as the outside temps dipped to single digits!
Ben was personable, courteous, knowledgeable, and the total bill was very reasonable! I couldn’t be more appreciative and satisfied with every aspect of service! Bernard will be my go-to when needing any of the services they provide! I highly recommend!

We learned at the last minute that the roof we were getting replaced required us to re-vent our hot water tank. So our family wouldn’t be without hot water for an extended period of time, Bernard’s worked us in the next day (and we were first time customers, too).

The two Bernard reps were complete professionals; polite, clean and explained everything when the job was finished.

We have found new plumbers (and perhaps new HVAC folks, too). We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

This is a letter of appreciation to your company because of the technicians that installed a heater on 11-21-2024 at 86 West York Street, Apt., A. I had a broken knob on one side of the kitchen faucet. The technician was going to Home Depot to pick up parts for the furnance installation. I asked if he could pick up the knob for me. I showed him the one that was broken. He responded so respectfully of your Company's policy that he was to only pick up what was necessary for the installation. They are a very prompt, professional get the job done right in a timely manner kind of company and I look forward to using them again for all my furnace/air conditioning needs. The Service Technician (Caleb) was a very personable, and courteous young man and extremely helpful/knowledgeable in being able to get my residential furnace maintenance up to date and ready for the coming months of winter. Caleb was even able to diagnose on the spot and fix a rattle within my furnace that has been going on for quite some time now. Recently had Bernard provide routine tune-up service for my 20-year old Trane furnace. Cannot provide enough accolades about Bernard and their outstanding team! Their service technicians are competent, knowledgeable, professional, personable and honest. Over the past two years Bernard has serviced all my HVAC needs under a preventative maintenance agreement.

Of course my 17 year old furnace decides on the coldest weather week to not function properly! I had used Bernard Heating & cooling last year to install a new AC unit and was very pleased , and they had worked on furnace previously. I called them in the morning and they were very prompt in scheduling service- came 4 hours later.
The technician was very nice, explained the malfunction problem, showed me the damaged part, got the furnace up and at least running for me for 24hrs , while he ordered a new part. Came back the next day, installed it,and made sure it ran as it should. Have the utmost confidence in them, and their honest work policy. Will definitely be using this company for future needs!

My furnace finally went kapoot on Weds, Bernards' sent Anthony first thing Thursday morning, walked me through my options, gave me a great price. and set up install next day! Installers (Bill,Logan & Leo) were absolutley FANTASTIC!! The whole experience was great, I have never had to buy a furnace before, and had alot of anxiety about it, they took that away for me, cannot reccomend Bernards enough!!

Everyone was very nice and helpful! Mike did a great job figuring out the problem with the furnace and making sure it runs properly!
