Hired them to rehab my house after storm damage. They were timely and did excellent work.

The people they hire to work on repairs are terrible! Very subpar work & patchy! Look at the other reviews. Do not rent nor hire them to do any service! Forewarning you 🤷‍♀️

Signed a lease in good faith and then midway through they announced they would stop paying for water and that we would be responsible. Do not trust them as landlords.

Do not deal with this company they will work against you. Worst experience renting in my life. Yes, I did reside at their property :)

Please read all the one star reviews. Lisa (the owner) and the people that she refers to as “maintenance” are horrible! Do NOT hire this company for any work & especially do NOT rent with them. It will be hell dealing with these folks I’m so serious!

Lived here for years now, its pretty quiet and the landlord has taken care of any apartment service issues I've had quickly.

Watch your back when dealing with them. They have a women name Sandy who works for them showing the the apartments who will lie to your face about the application fee being refundable its not. And then catches an attitude when you call her on it.

I just need a bigger place. I don't agree with the on- line payment. I'm getting changed to pay my own rent. But Jennifer has been wonderful when I do have any questions.

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go through with these people. They are extremely rude and liars.
The lady I met with told me 3 times she would return my application fee if I was denied the apartment and I was denied. She then dodged my calls and when I finally get a call back she was rude and gave me a FAKE address to meet her to get my money back but when I googled the company and call the people again they we're rude and kept hanging up on me.
So do not even mess with these rude ass liars!

My father use to rent here. The owner is rude and does not care about the tenants. The maintenance that they hire doesn’t do good work. Looking at their “repairs” you would think they’re still in training. I feel sorry for those who are still renting with them, thankfully my father does not.

Worst experience renting in my entire life. This company is unprofessional, rude and antagonistic. The properties are filthy, unkempt, and carelessly managed. They made just about everything worse in my rental property. The owner is especially rude and combative.

I’ve lived with Rock Island Reality for going on two years! They have always been fair and considerate. They are on top of their maintenance and take excellent care of their properties! I’ve lived at two! Great place!

Top-notch knowledgeable organization. No stone left unturned and all questions answered. In fact, they are very upfront about all aspects relating to buying, renting and even renovating. Rock Island is my go-to for all my housing needs!

Rock Island Realty renovated an addition on the back of my house; turning a mostly unusable space into a lovely screened in porch. The project manager was very responsive and went above and beyond to resolve unexpected issues (renovating old houses is always more complicated than anticipated) to my satisfaction.

Craig and his team at Rock Island are the best! Our basement flooded during a recent big storm -- Craig and plumber were over within the hour to help stop, assess, and fix. Wise counsel, great work, good people.

Do not work with these people in any capacity. Whether you are considering renting from them, purchasing one of their properties or hiring them for construction services, it will be the most expensive mistake in your life. Edit: I use my VOICE again Rock Island as well, not just social media. I have told EVERYONE- friends, family, neighbors, strangers discussing remodel projects, Realtors that I work with- to NEVER do business with them and show evidence (photos of work and LIES evident by email communication) of how terrible of an experience it was.

Good communication but overall not a good place to live. The place was very dirty when we moved in. The building is unsafe and they don’t seem to do background checks on fellow tenants. We have also found mold in our apartment on various occasions, and have been concerned for our health due to that issue. Ownership/management is combative.
