We recently bought a new home and wanted to level our upstairs bedroom before moving in. From the start, the team was fantastic. Brian and Colton took the time to walk through our home with us, carefully explaining the process and helping us understand the next steps.

With Jose’s help, they not only leveled the bedroom floor but also replaced the carpet with beautiful hardwood flooring in the bedroom, hallway, and stairwell. Despite our tight timeline, Colton made sure the project was completed on time, and even went above and beyond by having the walls repainted at no additional cost. Shortly after, we experienced water damage from our roof. The team responded immediately, quickly mitigating the issue. With Will’s help, they efficiently handled both the exterior and interior repairs, making a stressful situation much easier to manage.

Across all of these projects, they were consistently responsive, attentive to detail, and truly committed to delivering high-quality work. Their professionalism, communication, and willingness to go the extra mile set them apart. We couldn’t be happier with the results and are already planning to continue working with them on future home renovation projects. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and customer-focused contractors.

Very Friendly

We had an addition put on our house using Gibson. We are happy with our end product/the workers were great. However, we got pretty screwed with the estimate we were given from management.

For some background, we were given our estimate which stated that the quote “did not include materials unless otherwise specified”. We asked for clarification on this and we were assured (ie it was “otherwise specified”) that materials were included and that the estimate included ‘average’ priced materials; assuming we would use avg priced materials, but if we picked something more expensive, we would just be charged the difference. No problem. This was brought up & discussed many times as we were picking out materials, so there was no misunderstanding there.

We get to the very near end of the project and get word from the owner that the final bill is ~40% higher than the estimate we were given. This was obviously incredibly shocking. He claimed that materials were never included and kept referencing this part of the contract even though we clarified that with both him and our project manager multiple times. If any step in the process was going SO high over the estimate, why would this not be brought to our attention while that step is being completed? Asking if it is still within our budget? This is a significant increase to be brought up at the end of the entire project 5 months later. I understand estimates can fluctuate, but this is tens of thousands of dollars with zero notice throughout the project. We were fully expecting to pay our estimate + a few hundred, maybe thousand extra.

An employee ended up telling us later that the calculated estimate was actually much higher than what we were given, but the owner said to send a lower number to win the business since we were getting multiple quotes. Extremely unethical way of doing business. We had quotes that were lower than what we ended up paying and would have gone with those instead had we known this would be the outcome.

We ended up settling on paying about 23% over the given estimate, but of course still feeling completely scammed. Proceed with caution and definitely get every single thing in writing. Again - the workers were great! Just a clear management issue.

During the last 18 months,I have used Gibson Construction Services for a variety of “handyman” type jobs ranging from simple plumbing repair to door/window replacement and painting. They were consistently reliable - showing up on time, solving problems efficiently with a reassuring level of professionalism. Most recently, I hired them for a much more complicated project related to basement water intrusion. This was a tricky job since it required the team to determine why, how and where the water was entering the basement. The solution involved driveway demolition, foundation excavation and subsequent repair, cleaning/sealing/waterproofing basement walls…and on and on. It was a massive job finally resulting in a DRY BASEMENT and beautiful new concrete driveway and parking pad. It is my pleasure to recommend Gibson Construction Services. Their workers are skilled, polite and best of all - they show up as scheduled! Pricing is fair and reasonable. My contact, Colton Lonsway, patiently answered all of my questions and managed this complex job well. I would not hesitate to hire them again - thank you Colton and Gibson Construction!

We hired Gibson to install flush-mount LED ceiling lights into our living room. The two young men who showed up to do the job were extremely professional and polite over the course of the several days they were in our home. The work itself was great and we really appreciated the care taken to minimize disruption to our work days.

Gibson Construction is AMAZING!!! Brian is very professional and communicative throughout the process!! His crew member Will was GREAT. They replaced my lvp with oak and they look stunning! They also did a ton of odds and ends throughout my home and I couldn’t have been happier!!! I will definitely be recommending them.

This company was very professional. I enjoyed working with them. They were always on time. Their work was amazing. They did a great job & left my yard in good condition. I would recommend them & I will definitely use them again.

Reading all of these reviews, I can’t help but think the owners made them, with the experience my grandma has had. For some background information, all that was needed to be done was replace a deck. I have no experience with construction, but I am positive that this project should NOT have taken 3 months to complete!! Not to mention, it is HORRIBLY finished. I cannot stress enough what a horrible job they did. I will include some pictures. My foot shows the scale of the gaps, and includes a picture of part of the old deck they didn’t replace and thought no one would notice. The deck has been installed since mid-August, it is mid-April, and you’d think this deck was decades old with the condition it is in. Dozens of boards are warped, nails are splitting the boards, they left the stickers on all of the boards and there are gaps INCHES wide. While we were examining the deck a few days ago, I fell due to how bad the wood is warped. I cannot stress enough how lucky this company is that I fell, and not my grandma. I know the wood being warped is not directly their fault, but now they’re trying to charge MORE money, on top of it already being ridiculously priced especially for the job done, to come back and replace the wood. I feel it’s important to mention THEY chose the wood, THEY cut the wood, THEY installed the wood, and now they’re trying to take advantage of a woman because they think she doesn’t know any better. Granted there is a warranty, but it doesn’t cover all of the costs they’re trying to charge. It’s comical. Oh and did I mention that after 3 MONTHS, the deck isn’t fully finished. On top of now needing to replace the warped wood, they never stained it. I understand having setbacks in a job like this, especially with unpredictable weather, but to give an estimate that this project will take around 2 to 3 weeks is outrageous. It would be one thing if guys were here everyday working many hours, but no. Men would be hours, sometimes DAYS late with no work done. If they were here, they’d take many long and frequent breaks. No wonder it took so long!! I’ll have the pictures speak for themselves. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m not sure if they think they can take advantage of an older woman easily, or that she wouldn’t speak up, so that’s why I’m doing it. Can’t help but laugh.
