Jim arrived as scheduled and "put our kitchen back together" after we had new granite tops installed. He did a great job and it was a pleasure to have him work in our home. He is a true professional and an asset to your company.

Super Fast response time ! I had wasted my time and money with other big name plumbing companies in the past but never again. Tarvin Plumbing made me feel like a valued customer and handled business like true PROFESSIONALS. I will be referring anyone I know to this business

Tarvin Plumbing was contracted to replace two outdoor spigots as well as a bathroom faucet. Nearing completion of the second spigot on the rear of the house the plumber caused a pipe on the interior of the house to burst from the outside of the house, after installing the fixture but before securing it to the house. The burst line flooded the ceiling over the finished basement. The plumber made a quick, hasty fix and without turning the water back on to the property, assured us that their insurance company would cover all the damages and left.

The next day the plumber and the receptionist falsified the work report attempting to place the blame on us, the homeowner. We called to correct the statement and were told that it would be fixed before it was sent to insurance. It wasn't. Their insurance company looked at their falsified statement and immediately denied the claim. It took contacting the Ohio Department of Insurance to have their insurance company's senior staff review the claim and collect statements from us and to visit the residence in order for them to find Tarvin at fault.

On top of all of this Tarvin changed the terms of the contract after they were paid. Their plumber caused an 11 day dryout of our basement and several thousands of dollars in damage and they revoked their work guarantee after they were paid.

This is a very dishonest practice. We contacted the owner and he stood behind his receptionist and plumber's dishonest practices saying that we could contact our insurance company and file a claim, and he also understood that we had the right to dispute the insurance company's denial.

This caused tens of hours of time spent with contractors, on the phone and countless aggravation, and about a month later we still do not have full resolution.

Just goes to show that no matter how many glowing reviews there are, a business will show its true colors when backed into a corner. Very dishonest, very disrespectful customer service. Would give Zero stars, would not recommend.

Ellis came out and once again did an exceptional job. He's very professional and looked at all of the options for fixing the upstairs shower before going through my kitchen ceiling (which he didn't have to, thank goodness). He asked if there was anything else we needed to have looked at while he was here and that jogged my memory that the basement faucet was leaking - that saved me another trip charge. Will not work with anyone but Tarvin.

I can't say enough good things about Tarvin Plumbing. I had a clogged sink and another plumber came out and said it could not be snaked and that I would have to bust out my basement wall and possibly my basement floor to fix it. They wanted to charge me over $1000 to bust out the wall just to see if they could unclog it that way and then I would have to hire a contractor to put it back together. A friend thought I should get a second opinion and contacted Tarvin for me. They came out that very afternoon and for the same price the other company charged me to tell me all the bad news they not only fixed the clog with a snake but also fixed several other minor issues in the house. They have my business going forward.

Phil did a good job fixing some pipes that another contractor had not done properly and he got my bathroom sink unclogged. Then I had him give me a bid on my third-floor bathroom replacing possibly the toilet and the sink. Next day a man called Mike left a message and asked me to call him back. He was going over the details of the bid for 3rd floor. It was going to be $3300! So naturally I had questions on exactly what they would do for that price. He cut me off and said “I listened to you, now you listen to me!” He was so rude and after he got done I still had the same questions. He continued to be curt and I told him I was going to get off the phone because he was upsetting me. I can’t believe after I spent over $800 that he could be so curt.

They did the job they came to do fine but then before he left he said that he would check my pressure. He told me it was a bit low and asked if I wanted him to fix it. I ask what it would cost and he told $159. So I told him to go ahead and fix. Then when he asked for payment it was $259. I asked why it was $100 more and he said for his time. I said it did not even take an hour to fix and he said, yes you're right it will only be $90 for my time.

I told him that I asked the price up front and he did not mention that the $159 did not include his time as I would not have had the pressure changed if I knew it was going to be over $250! So I called to explain to the office manager who sent me an invoice that was higher than the $90. She said I knew that it was going to be more because they sent me a price sheet last week and it was actually $120 on top of the $159. (even thought the worker told me $90. I did not know how long it was going to take and why I asked the price upfront. She did not make me pay the additional money and they did the job so I am giving them 2 stars but she was not nice about it and I would not use them again.

Plumbers were prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Left my bathroom cleaner when they left than it was when they arrived! My repairs were made quickly and completely. Very happy with Tarvin Plumbing!

Tarvin Plumbing has taken excellent care of our plumbing installations and repairs for 36 years at 3 houses. Toilets, faucets, disposal, outdoor hydrant, boiler, hot water heaters... Scheduling is responsive and specific so you don't have to wait around. All the plumbers are knowledgable, do excellent work, and are tidy and just very nice people.

I called Tarvin because they were local and had a high review score - wish I hadn't. The job included replacing two toilet flappers and fixing a thermostatic mixer on a shower (temperature control). I had a replacement valve for the temperature control that turned out to be the wrong size. The plumber from Tarvin said the control valve wasn't the problem anyway. Rather, there was a build-up of corrosion from lack of use. He cleaned it out, put it back together, told us it was working and charged us just under $500.

When I tried the temperature control a week or so later, it did not work - same as before (but the toilet flappers did work). I called the office and explained that the part was not repaired. The receptionist was very nice and assured me that the report said the shower was fixed. She agreed to send another plumber out to check on it - that day. Wow, I thought, great customer service. The plumber arrived and told my wife that the report said the shower was fixed and that if we wanted him to do anything it would be at least $150. I have to give him credit for giving us the option to say "No, Thank you" - which my wife did.

My son and I, who don't know squat about plumbing, decided to look at it ourselves. In 45 minutes, using a couple of wrenches and the internet, we determined that the temperature control unit was missing a part that rendered it useless. Interesting that three people at Tarvin assured us it was working when it was physically impossible for the control unit to work. We ordered the part on Amazon, installed it in 15 minutes and the shower works flawlessly.

I can not recommend Tarvin for anything. It is clear to me that they don't have the expertise or the integrity to back up their work. Now, I'm thinking about quitting my job and becoming a plumber.

I had Tarvin Plumbing out today to fix a water leak. They were prompt and found the leak quickly! I would highly recommend them to everyone. Ask for Ellis he is a great plumber!

I called to get a quote on a project. I was told that they would be glad to come out to give an appraisal for a fee of $90 (which would be applied to the bill if hired). I explained that I understood why they might charge an appraisal fee and that I would keep them in mind in case I decided to go that route but at this time I was going to hold off. SHE HUNG UP ON ME! Thanks for showing your true colors so quickly. Helped me more than you know.

I am sure that Tarvin Plumbing does great work and is likely to be a reputable contractor; However, they should be aware that their front line person answering the phones needs a crash course in customer service skills. Very unfortunate for them.

Tarvin Plumbing is an excellent company! We were very pleased with their 2 visits- one for replacement of 2 outside faucets and the 2nd visit for replacement of the main water shutoff valve and replacement of the air chamber on the water heater that prevents “hammering”. We will be happy to have “Jim” back for any future plumbing needs.Tarvin's office staff and procedure for scheduling is fantastic!

We had a slow leak in bib valve, and was concerned that the access would mean taking the interior wall down. The man Tarvin Plumbing sent out was able to remove the stem, replace the gaskets and put it back in service. Very well done.

Needing to find a new plumber, I decided to try Tarvin Plumbing based on their having received prior positive feedback. Needing a new hot water heater, installation was prompt, efficient, reasonably priced, passed county inspection, and their recommendation to install a tank different from interest, led to significant cost savings. Very trustworthy company. Always upfront about the what the repair will cost. I had a leaking pipe in a ceiling where the time involved to fix was not known, and the plumber told me his best estimate of how much time it would take to fix. He got it fixed promptly and the final cost was lower than his estimate. I trust this company.

Highly recommend Tarvin Plumbing. Moved into my condo and needed their service because my new washing machine was flooding the laundry room. They took care of the plumbing and then also explained to me the way the washer was set up incorrectly. The other company hadn't locked my machine and did a poor job with my dryer vent hose too. He told me exactly what to say to them and how to approach it. My experience with Tarvin's was very professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

The builder of our townhome in OTR put our furnace and AC on the second floor to get more airflow to the third floor. We ran into a problem with the AC drain overflowing to our kitchen ceiling in the second floor. We called Tarvin for help as we needed someone soon.

Dave came over the next day and we got service at a reasonable price. Dave not only fixed our problem but spent time helping us figure out how to prevent the issue from happening again. He took us step by step through the process and even explained that it's actually pretty normal to have some buildup in the pvc pipes from dripping water lines.

This was above and beyond and much appreciated. And we weren't gouged the service. When this happened we were concerned because we have had bad experiences with plumbers in the past. Tarvin is our go to plumber from here on out.

We had two plumbing jobs done on one day, and they did a great job. The job estimate was correct, the plumbers were professional, and pleasant. They worked quickly, and left everything clean, and in good working order. We would definitely call them again.

Tarvin did a great job for us on various plumbing needs. We were living in Fort Thomas and used Tarvin for things like replacing a disposal, unclogging drains, and so on. We usually had the same plumber, Matt, who lived in northern KY and thought his work was top notch. Pricing seemed reasonable to us and they always honored the Angie's List $25 discount.

We had a toilet emergency that needed to be attended to. I called Tarvin Plumbing, they were out that same day, Jim was very professional and did a very thorough job on our plumbing. Our sink was clogged and draining slow, he fixed that while he was out as well. A very good job, at a very reasonable price. Thank you Tarvin Plumbing.
