Paid $2400 for a job that was done by an handyman.
Handyman charged $650. / Columbia gas said new furnace line was checked and approved. Handyman not certified by city. Had to find someone who could request permit.

This company came , mind you everything was already done.replaced 2 or 3 panels , done that to make sure all was well and charged $2,400 for a job already done. Just for the permit. Word to the wise

Ohio Heating Installed two ductless minisplit systems for our third floor attic, and I am very pleased with their work. I was being bilked for $1,600 even though no repairs were ever done!
The first call they came out and added refrigerant for $534. Right then, they either knew or should have known before recharging, that the system needed replaced.
Then a few days later it was completely broken again. They came out, did a test and said the coils needed replacing or really you should replace the whole unit. I no longer trusted them, so I said don't do anything else. They charged me $1,068 for that second call - testing, installing a new liquid line drier, torch and solder, vacuum pump, recovery machine, nitrogen to leak test and Freon. I argued with them on at least 3 different occasions and settled to pay $300 of the $1,068, because the repairs were never done - no new line drier, torch, solder, vacuum pump, nor additional Freon.
I paid $834 for nothing, but a big b.s. runaround, pain in the neck.
One look at the amount of leakage by 2 other HVAC guys, told them the system had failed badly and needed replaced, - without $1,600 of tests, Freon or the one month of headaches, without a/c at my place of business, in July. "I would never recharge 8-10 lbs of Freon, that doesn't make any sense."

I moved into a new home last summer. In the fall I knew it would be a good idea to get the furnace checked/serviced. I called Ohio Heating & Refrigeration, and got an appointment the next day. The technician was very knowledgeable, polite, and explained what exactly he did. It's because of their quality of service, that I will use Ohio Heating & Refrigeration as my go to heating and cooling company.

Excellent customer service! Dave was awesome! He looked over my 28 year old AC unit and could have said it needed replaced! Instead, he got it up and working better than ever! Ohio Heating is first on my list to call with heating and cooling needs! Would definitely recommend!

I had a bad experience with another company in the city with a minor repair that tuned into a 10,000 sales job. Of course I didn't buy it. I was told about Ohio Heating. Not only did they do the repair, they fixed a problem by this other company who wired my furnace incorrectly, assured me of any future service needs, and I never felt pressured by the well qualified service technician. Now the best part, the other guys charged me $700 to replace a $130 part, and Ohio Heating was a fraction of the cost. Very, very reasonable charge I was more than willing to pay. Thank you Ohio Heating for putting fears to rest, I have already told my friends, and will continue to sing the praise of Ohio Heating.

We obtained three estimates for a new condo furnace. The existing one was old and had cracks in the heater exchanger. The three estimates were relatively close, just a few hundred dollars difference between them. All three presentations were good. A contractor who lives in our condo development, whose advice I value as he knows much more than I do about these things, recommended Dave Scott at Ohio Heating. After listening to all three presentations, we decided to go with Dave Scott and Ohio Heating. They installed for us a new Bryant two-stage furnace. Dave Scott was extremely knowledgeable and he answered all our questions in detail. He really knows his trade. He is also a straight shooter and he did not try to sell us anything we did not need. The Ohio Heating crew that installed the furnace were experienced, professional, polite, and they too knew exactly what they were doing. The Bryant furnace, which replaced an old 18 year-old single-stage furnace, is wonderful and it works great. We should see a reduction in our gas bills and, more important, we now have a high quality safe furnace, which operates quiet compared to the old furnace. I highly recommend Dave Scott at Ohio Heating to anyone.

A wonderful experience all around. Same day estimate, next day furnace replacement - the Friday before Christmas! We had been pushing our furnace as long as we could after various other companies had condemned it. Leave it to us to have it quit on the coldest day of the year, the week before Christmas. Ohio Heating was here same day to provide an estimate, and was here timely for the install by 8:30a the next morning. Over 5-6 other estimates, they were very reasonably priced, and I appreciated David’s straight-shooting advice, not recommending unnecessary work (replacing an otherwise functional AC at the same time as the furnace), and standing by his commitment to offer the similar labor discount when it fails in the future - there really was no sales pressure. Above all, a very high quality install. Recommend to anyone.

0star if I could. Call this company for my commercials refrigerator. I have one guy usually fix for my restaurant, but he is retired. So I find this place in google. A untruth lie company.first I was been told because my place is 40 min away from this I need charges ex 100 bucks from transport fee. And labor is 160 for a hour. Which is fine I paid what I need to paid.second the restaurant open 11, the mechanic can coming any time but he have to call me before he coming.that make sense right. They take your credit card before they coming, I was too naive. No any company do that. I call the company several time. Asking about how you guys charge me. finally a woman show up , she deny everything . So I have to paid while the guy in the car play with his phone for two hour.she told me I don’t know what other company do that’s what we do. And she questioned me why I call her company for so far away. Here is something I have to say. There is no company in Newark in the google that fix commercial refrigerator. Also 40 minutes is no so far away. The plumber i always call is in Columbus which 40 minutes away. And she deny transfer fee. I have to paid the time from the guy leave the office and he come back.

Outstanding experience. Professional, thorough and detailed estimate for required work. Only quoted what needed to be replaced vs. entire system from competitor who did not even look at system to determine what components actually needed to be replaced. In addition Ohio Heating's estimate spefically described each component by name and model number. Quote from competitor would not provide specifics only heat pump, furnace, thermostat. When asked for details they said they could not provide model numbers and would be contingent on what was available at time of install. Went with Ohio Heating and scheduled installation.Technicians arrive on time as promised. Extremely professional top quality installation. Went over system operation and set up. Could not be happier with Ohio Heating. They are honest and reliable. Be aware of others in the area when choosing a HVAC company.

I just had the greatest experience using Ohio Heating and Cooling. A gentleman named Dave came to our house after we reached out about having our AC unit replaced. He came, educated us on our current unit, and fixed the issue all in 45 minutes. While other companies we called immediately told us we needed a brand new unit, Dave was honest and took the time to properly diagnose the issue and fix it. He also was kind enough to correct some other things that would help our unit run much more efficiently. My family highly recommends Ohio Heating and Cooling and especially Dave or as we call him our HERO.

I was referred to try Ohio heating and I am very pleased that I was. I called to get an estimate for a new A/C installed in a old home with no ac. Amber was very polite to take my call and get the info and schedule me a in home estimate with Dave.
, Dave explained to me about estimate and product ( availability)they would use.

I was very pleased with the estimate and proceeded to schedule for the install that day.
About 6 days later I received a call from Dave that he had all the Eqipment for my install.

The installer Kevin and Don showed up the next day early and they are true professionals at there job.I would be very comfortable to say that I will only use Ohio heating .

Dave came out and explained what was wrong with our AC and helped us understand what needed to be done now versus in the future. Then quickly got our AC up and running again.
