HVAC reviews in Columbus, Ohio

Friendly people at counter, phone etc. they want to work! And they are very good about it! Little improvement needed, but I'm not there
-
Helpful knowledgeable staff great service but If you do not have an account they will not help you they are not a public supply house they are for contractors with accounts
-
Granted they have just about everything I need there, but what makes this my #1 pick to get any part is the staff. Hands down the best group of people a contractor could ask for!

As a homeowner I had called them to see if they would sell me some HVAC parts. As they are wholesalers they could not. However, the extremely friendly and helpful lady who answered the call pointed me in the right direction to local suppliers that could help me. Cheers!

AMAZING company! They have the product and the turn around time! However the employees make this location amazing! Their knowledge, friendliness & diligence make everything run smoothly. Its a pleasure dealing with everyone from office staff to those in the field!

Used them 20+ years ago and was ok. Called 2 years ago for a part on my furnace and was told you can't buy without a contractor license. Their catalog says nothing about needing a license. So bought my part at a appliance part store on the west side. After your answer It must be nice to control a industry that every home owner has by saying they are too dumb to work on a home appliance. I wish as a ASE licensed Auto Mechanic we could stop people from working on their own Automobiles. We can't even stop unsafe cars from being on the road. I am licensed for AC and heat, I can purchase freon and transport it. I have asked places that says it is law to provide me with the code or a copy and no one has done it yet.

Always a great experience at Johnstone! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Have only had a few times a part was not in stock but, they were always able to get it fast. My go to HVAC supplier.
-
They work only with contractors but he gave me a number to a local store that can sell to the public. It is nice when a company is there to help even when they aren't benefiting.

Made a call on a Saturday 20 min before closing time. Provided part number from AC condenser. They had it in stock and advised if I paid over phone, they would put part in a storage locker on outside of building and simply text me the locker code.
How freakin AWESOME. No rushing to beat the clock.
Great service, average prices and parts always in stock. They just earned a customer for life. -
The staff here is very knowledgeable and super nice!

These guys are great. We got a quote from a larger company for an ac repair in the $2.2k range, but really they wanted to replace our whole system and charge us upwards of 13k. CG&Sons came out to give a second opinion and 1) left us with AC that day, and 2) quoted us under 400 dollars. They came back a few days later with the part, did the repair in about 15 minutes, and the final number came in under three fifty. They also put us at ease by letting us know that our system still had plenty of years left. Seriously, if Someone's quoting you super high, give these guys a call (or, just call them first). Definitely going to be lifetime customers.

I am extremely happy with the service with Mark. I worked with another service person before Mark, who had trouble with the installation. I passed down the unfinished work to Mark, who took only a few hours to complete the job. He gave me a very good quote and finished the job on the next day. AMAZING! He was professional, addressed issues that were fixed as he installed, and explained everything very well. He is honest and has extensive knowledge about refregerant engineering. I recommend this guy to everyone! Thank you very much, Mark.

Overall, I think HVAC contractors are some of the most dishonest people that exist. However, Mark is one of the exceptions. He came over after I requested a quote for a new ac replacement. He was more than generous with his time explaining things about ac so that I could understand. He even questioned why I wanted to get a new unit installed. I called him because my ac is 22 years old but in great shape despite its age. Anyway, I wanted to give a shout out to Mark at C G Delzell and Sons. I've decided not to buy a new AC but I will definitely keep this companies name in mind when I need my furnace/ac serviced in the future! I feel confident that they will give me a fair and honest quote for any future problems with my furnace or ac.

I called airfast to come out on wens day and they came out Thursday said they need part and it would take the week end to get the part they came out Monday said he needed part and he did not care that we did not have heat and I called them Tuesday and they said they would check with the technology guy and call me back Tuesday and no call or no one came out

Terrible company, I would never recommend them for anything.
The office is rude, the technicians are not sure of what they are doing.
I will never use this company again, beware of them.
I should have listened to the reviews before calling them. -
Terrible service by this company. They made up some story to warranty company when we asked what was told to them by home warranty. Customers shouldn't be treated this way. Asked to speak to manager and the office manager hung up.
