I had a significant drain backup in my basement and, as anyone who has dealt with this knows, it is such a hassle and you want it fixed as quickly as possible. I called CPR Drain Cleaning and within a couple of hours, Brandon and Chase were on-site. CPR Drain Cleaning has been my go-to company for plumbing issues for years but I'm exceptionally impressed with today's service. Brandon was so knowledgeable and kind, Chase took time to cleanup with such care and the pricing was very fair. Let's be real, nobody is ever happy to need a plumber but they took what was starting as a bad day for me and made the extra effort to show kindness and grace and assure me they were going to handle it with expertise, courtesy and professionalism. Thanks for making a stressful experience much easier to get through!

Not all heros wear capes! Austin and his team came out on a moments notice to fix our septic system that was backing up. I literally don’t think we’ve ever had a more kind, competent and thorough team come to work at our home. They went the extra miles to make sure we understood everything they did (and taught us how to care for our septic to prevent future issues). Their pricing was fair and truly they were just the kindest team. Highly recommend!

They are the best plumbing company in Columbus and its not even close! Its family owned, they are fast came within maybe an hour after I called and have extremely fast and fair service. They will be my plumbers from here out and I recommend ANYONE, to call them and support a local family plumbing company . They are 100x better than being upsold and lied to by all these corporate plumbing companies with all the commercials. I had went through weeks of stress dealing with this and in under an hour they diagnosed, repaired the issues was paid and left me such immense stress relief. Thank you guys so much!

Plumber was unfamiliar with brand of faucet. Lacked knowledge and was a total waste of time and money. Would not use this company again.

I am grateful that via texts Mike and his ten year old son came over on Saturday, two days after Christmas 2025 to repair my Navien tankless water heater. Unlike the reps of the two biggest plumbing companies, he did not have sales goals. Mike was genuinely interested in solving my problem which he did. I had to force him to take some money for coming.

He told me to give him a call in a couple of months to formally flush the Navien. So, per his instructions, I texted and called to request a follow-up visit. The very nice women answering his phone assured me each time that she would give him the message and he would call. It has been over two weeks and Mike has not called.

For me, Mike was great until he ghosted me.

I’ve used these guys in the past and they were great. This time however I’ve talked to a “dispatcher” twice and I’m being told to expect a call back from the owner and never received a call. You should not have to speak to the owner to get an appt scheduled.

They are very professional when you can get them to show up. They did an excellent job the first time, but I've called 3x to schedule an appointment to fix another issue and they say they'll call me back to schedule an appointment, but I still haven't gotten a call back.

Both my wife and I called for a rather important plumbing issue. We were both told separately that we'd be called back to schedule it and it never happened. We ended up having to go with a different company. It is inexcusable to leave a customer hanging like that and I definitely would NOT recommend using this company for your plumbing needs...

I called Michael because of the numerous POSITIVE reviews I found on Yelp. I've never used Yelp before, but decided that this was the best way for me to let everyone know that if they are in need of plumbing services, McDermott Plumbing will treat you right!

Very knowledgable and fits you into his schedule as quickly as possible. I would have had to wait 14 days longer to get my hot water tank replaced by a local, nationwide organuzation, but Michael took care of me in 2 days!

I called McDermott Plumbing for a second estimate on a new water heater after getting a bad feeling from a high pressure sales pitch from Atlas Butler for a new water heater. Mike was very professional when inspecting the unit and gave an honest assessment about the cost to repair vs cost to replace. I ultimately went with installing a new water heater and the cost was about $500 less than Atlas Butler. Mike did a great job explaining everything and cleaning up afterward and I would definitely call again!

Extremely professional. Very open and honest pricing. We had a toilet that was constantly running and getting clogged. Mike gave us some options and pricing up front. He also gave us some prevention tips for the future.

We will gladly use McDermott Plumbing again. Highly recommended!!
