HVAC reviews in Toledo, Ohio

Tom and Bob did a great job and were very professional. We had a very old boiler heating system from 1966 and Tom has worked on it twice in the past. We finally decided was time for a new one. With every big expensive we’ve had in the past, there has always been some issue that made us unsatisfied. We thought we were going to have an issue with this one as well so we voiced our concerns. Tom and Bob both stayed late and made sure we were completely comfortable with everything and we very much appreciated that. This is the only company we will ever hire for HVAC and we will always request Tom. He absolutely knows his business!

The older gentleman took his time and did all he could to fix my tune up kit. He offered very good customer service I will definitely join the other who already refer people here. I was referred here by a few strangers and they sure we're right in referring me.

Faster than ordering online

The staff here are always friendly and most helpful. Helped me troubleshoot a furnace repair over the phone. They are knowledgeable and likely have the parts you need on hand. I highly recommend this business for the DIY crowd!

Bought a new part from them turned out not to be exactly what needed to be done. Staff we talked to on phone extremely helpful. Had other company look at our furnace and they could not fix our problem. Called Schmidlin's guy came out took a look, was able to fix our problem within an hour.

Vita was phenomenal! She helped me properly diagnose the issue I was having and had all the parts in stock.

Very friendly. I couldn't get a hold of them by phone so I drove to the store. It was a great experience. They wouldn't give me a quote for my project until they came to my property and took measurements. Their quote was similar to others that I had received. But they were the only company that physically came to my property and talked about options. I choose Schmidlin for my project based on my interactions with the employees, the friendliness, the knowledge and expertise. I felt comfortable with them. Kind of like... family or a friend you could trust.

Quickly identified parts being sought and suggested complete rebuild kit including trim. Price was excellent and faucets are like brand new. Much cheaper and easier than replacing entire faucets.

Highest qualified service department store has all the hard to find parts usually in stock. They can get almost anything in a few days. They hand out there knowledge for free to save you money. They are the backbone that keeps places like Lowe's or home depot in business. Highly recommended by both companies locally.

So they dont offer returns on parts, to try and sell you on their service tech who is paid by time! So something that you think you may be able to fix yourself gets you in the end to rely on others. Like here's a 90 dollar component that you cant return that we'll charge you with in the long run! Or pay 4 times the price ( or more depening on how long the diagnosis is, remember he's paid by time)i think the whole trade is just scummy and a racket in the long run! Shoulda gone to amazon and thrown parts myself <3 at least then i dont have to gamble on my family's warmth, or my wages!

I purchased a flame sensor for my furnace for about 55$ from them about a month ago. I finally got to replace the part and it doesn’t work at all with my furnace even though the salesman told me that that’s the part. They don’t accept any electrical parts returns plus they charge 15% on any other returns. Found the correct part that works on Amazon for $5. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

They are a great family run business! They're extremely honest and fair and they do not overprice. I bought a capacitor for my air conditioner, turns out that it was not the capacitor but the fan motor the new replacement needed a different size capacitor. They completely swapped out the capacitor I just bought and gave me a different one free of charge. Can't ask for anything more fair than that 👍

Worked for two hours only to determine that it wasn’t worth it to fix and did not put anything back together. This left the tub completely unusable and charged $275. When asked if this was proper customer service to leave a job worse than it was without delivering a product, the response was, “ yes, that’s how we do it.“

First off, to my knowledge, it is the only supply house in the area open past 5pm. And I needed a part for my water heater. The woman on the telephone was super nice and helpful and told me they had the part I needed. In fact, when I got there, she told me to double check this and that on my water heater before I installed the part, just to make sure it wasn't something else. Turns out I did need the part and it worked as it should. I'm very grateful for Schmidlin!

Great stuff and good prices. Honestly I bought from this store while I don't have money with me, the nice man trusted me and asked me to take what I need and pay later. Really appreciate their help and kindness. Thank you so much

Incredible experience going here, the staff are friendly, and very knowledgeable, everything is modestly priced too. I’ve been dealing with a unique plumbing issue for weeks with a non standard sink/waste pipe that needed a special p trap because the previous design no longer is produced. I went to all the major name brand stores and no one could help me figure out the parts required for a fix. 5 minutes in schmidlins and 10$ later and they had everything I needed, even gave me a couple free gaskets after I was missing one, make sure to pet the cat while you’re there.

Customer service is out of this world, needed a few parts for my old furnace, they were the only place in town that actually had them Instock. Their price was lower than what I found online as well. Picked up a couple of other random parts and got a great deal on those as well. Will definitely be coming here as long as I live in the area.

Tom and everyone at Schmidlin, Inc. were extremely helpful providing assistance to me replacing the blower motor for my furnace. Most HVAC supply companies will not sell to DYI'ers. They had the motor I needed in stock and for a very nominal fee, installed the motor, blower wheel and new capacitor onto the unit. All I had to do was to install it back in my furnace, plug it in and have heat once again! Thank you again!

I needed a Kohler toilet seal. Menards, Lowes, HD, Ace, and 3 supply houses, EVEN AMAZON all said 1-3 days. Schmidlin had them in stock. I called Schmidlin first. Since I had time, I chkd the box stores online since they were closer. After that I kept calling around town just to affirm how special Schmidlins store is.

Always very helpful and incredible with their vast knowledge.

Came to replace the motor in my furnace. He had to leave to get a part and it is only 10 mins. From my house. He was gone 2 hrs. And then charged me for the time. I tried to call the owner several times and every time the guy who did it would get on the phone and would not allow me to talk to the owner. I will never go there ever.
