I very rarely take time to write reviews but after the consultation I had with Tom yesterday I made time.

He took the time to carefully explain what was going on, what he recommended, and why for each tree in my yard - even the ones that didn’t need his services.

His desire to do the right thing for me and my trees was apparent. His priority was to point out the most critical needs so I could make a well informed decision about what to do first and he never made me feel pressured to choose his company.

I will definitely be recommending him to anyone I know that needs the expertise of a certified arborist in the future.

I had two trees that were dead or dying and I wanted taken down and cut into burnable sections for our wood burning insert.

Tom looked at the trees and provided an estimate. I told him there was no rush to get them down, but he showed up on a Friday afternoon to “drop and lay” these two trees for me.

He was happy to tour my yard with me and look at others trees / other work. He speaks from years of experience that inspires confidence and gave me everything I needed to make an informed decision about my needs.

I’m very satisfied and will call back when I have needs in the future.

Tom does good honest work. I called him after a tree fell on my garage. With my garage barley holding on it was a dire situation to remove the tree so that when the garage failed my house wasn’t damaged as well. Tom got his team out working to remove the tree just a few hours after my first speaking with him. They were quick, efficient, and mindful with their work. I was able to come back to my home that evening to have dinner with me family. I was honestly amazed at how quick he was able to handle the job. This is a stand up guy with a stand up business. If I ever run into any issues related to tree service this is my only choice!

We had a very large and very old tree that needed to be removed. It was located in a difficult spot between two homes. We spoke with one company that offered a quote then admitted it was more than they could handle and backed out, then another that did the same. Finally we were referred to Tom who was able to get this difficult job completed. It involved using a very large crane to access the tree and to avoid damaging our neighbors driveway. It became a Significant event in the neighborhood given the size of the crane truck and tree. In the end it was removed successfully and we are pleased with the service we received. Tom was very communicative during the process and even provided pictures since we were out of town on the day the work was done. He clearly loves his work and being in the tree business. We recommend Tom highly!

Tom is clearly a master of his craft.
I had an urgent situation with a very large Linden tree in danger of potentially falling onto my neighbors house. I called him at 6:40pm on a week night. He had just finished up another job and was heading home for the day, but immediately rerouted and was at my house in 10 minutes (luckily he was already that close).
From the time he arrived, he was visibly exhausted from the day of work he already had, but he never showed any sign of worry or discouragement, and acted truly professional the entire time. With his expertise, he had the tree fell the opposite direction from which it was leaning, and safely into my yard in about 45 minutes time.
His price was great, especially with the fact that I obviously had an urgent situation. Had a decent gust of wind caught that tree, it most certainly would've caused an incredible amount of damage to my neighbors property.
10 out of 10, if you need tree service, especially if you have an emergency situation, give Trapper's a call. Tom will not disappoint.

Tom was easy to work with and his pricing was better than the other quotes I received. He and his colleague did a great job on our trees. They could only squeeze in an hour of work the first night, then they really worked their butts off the next day. They worked for almost twelve hours the second day in some dreadful heat.

Coincidentally, between the first and second day they were working on our property, an extremely large limb came down on our fence on a different part of our property. I was able to cut it all up and get it off the fence, but cleaning up all that wood would have taken me forever. Luckily, Tom offered to help out with the clean up since they already had their wood chipper with them. Saved me a ton of time.

Tom was also very flexible with our last minute requests. For just a bit more in price, he agreed to cutting a few more trees down than we originally agreed upon in the proposal.

We had Tom cut down quite a few trees and branches that were near the house or the shed, and absolutely nothing was damaged. Everything was done safely. We were very satisfied with his work and would hire him again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend.

I've worked with Whole Tree Care over the last 18 months and have never had a disappointing experience. I've had a very old and weak tree that had to be removed, trimming of other trees done and consultation on a struggling tree in my front yard. In every circumstance, service has been efficient, courteous and affordable. Every member of the company with whom I have had dealings has been unfailing in being helpful and clearly cares about meeting service expectations. As an example, when I needed a tree removed, the clean-up after was without flaw. The office manager always follows through with communications between me, Tom and the on-site service team. Most recently, I have consulted with Tom on another very old tree that is struggling. I appreciate the education he has provided on what the issues are and options I have if I wish to delay removal since the tree is not in danger of falling. I have not experienced this level of honest communication with tree services I worked with prior to calling Whole Tree Service 18 months ago. Last but not least, when Tom came out recently for a status assessment of the struggling tree that had been "in treatment" over the last year, there was no charge for this consultation. It is clear that Tom cares about providing great service and has set this expectation as the standard for all staff members of the company. I don't even think about going to another service for comparison since I began working with Tom.

We had a large tree blown over during a recent storm. Mr Trapper came out himself to inspect the damage and assess the removal project. His response was pretty much immediate. I couldn't be more pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Trapper's Tree Service! They're the help you need in an emergency situation such as mine.

Had a massive tree fall in my back yard and crushed my shed. Trappers tree service were out here in one hour of calling them. Within 4 hours they had their equipment here and started working. They were extremely helpful in dealing with the insurance company as well. They even helped me save some items from the shed. Extremely knowledgeable, great service, great communication. I highly recommend you give these guys a call first for any tree service work.

We have two excellent experiences with Trappers Tree Service. They have removed an 80ft pine in very close proximity to our house and done emergency work to clear a maple in our backyard that had fallen into our house. Both trees presented a lot of work and unique challenges. In both cases Tom was professional, responsive, provided outstanding communication, high quality work, and expertise as an arborist. We can't recommend he and his team highly enough, and we'll only call Trappers Tree Service for tree consultation and work in future.

Tom was amazing. He came over within two hours of our tree splitting, which was a big deal because a large portion of the tree was suspended over our neighbor's property and posed a significant risk. Not only was he there quickly, but gave us a price no one could beat for the precise and timely manner her completed the work in. He also managed to save my little cherry tree which was directly underneath some heavy branches. Much thanks to Trapper's Tree Service. I will certainly be using this company for all future relevant needs.
