My entire experience with Handy Bros from start to finish was professional and exceeded my expectations. From the diagnostic analysis by technician Jaden Benson on my 14 year old (and neglected) tankless water heater, to Comfort Advisor Frank Hasiak who prepared a reasonable quote for replacement, to the three service guys who did a quick and superb installation - all of this within 3 days of my initial call - this is among the best service I have ever experienced. I now have a top of the line tankless water heater made in British Columbia, a 10+ 10 + 15 year transferable warranty on parts & labour, and will be subscribing to the Family Plan maintenance for my existing furnace, a/c, humidifier and new water heater.
Definitely give them a 100% recommendation and rating!

Our experience with Handy Bros Home Comfort was beyond expectations. When our furnace broke down on a Thursday, their response was immediate. Aaron came out the same night, and Aiden made sure we had heaters to get us through. Being without heat for 4½ days was stressful, but they truly showed care and support the entire time.

When the installers arrived on Monday, they were professional and courteous. An A1 experience from start to finish — I would highly recommend Handy Bros Home Comfort for all your home comfort needs.

Brendan from HB's replaced our natural draft water heater with a new one and did a very professional job. The installation, from the new piping, to the new exhaust, is top tier. They had no issue relocating the water heater for us to open up more space in our basement, too. The tech was also very professional and personable. Very happy with the experience overall.

We had an excellent experience with Handy Bros from start to finish. The customer service was truly incredible — everyone was friendly, responsive, and so easy to deal with.

Their pricing was better than anyone else we quoted, which honestly made the decision even easier. But what really stood out was the installation team. The guys who did the install were absolutely amazing — professional, knowledgeable, and so accommodating. We had a few little tweaks and requests along the way, and they were more than happy to work with us without any hassle at all.

They even worked around our crazy dogs without missing a beat 😅 — which we appreciated more than they probably know!

Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable - Just had Anthony over to fix an electrical issue in our garage. Arrived within his time frame with a prior call, then figured out and fixed the issue within the hour. Couldn't be happier

there customer service support is awful. They make it impossible to cancel any subscription. And guess what, they switched there subscription services to term now. You cannot cancel unless you pay for the entire term outright. Tha'ts right, and if you try to call and explain your situation? You suddenly get weird scam emails popping up. They will leak your information.

I had a great experience with Ryan Brown who helped me with my RO water system. Ryan was able to break down the issue and provide a quick, permanent solution. Because of the service Ryan provided, I’ll be counting on Reliance for the foreseeable future

My review applies to the main organization, as I find the Windsor people do the job promptly, and well. I primarily (and most recently) use Reliance for sump pump work.

But the main organization, which you call to schedule, and you get someone in India... They cannot be trusted. For example, I was told during scheduling that the labour cost for sump pump installation of my own pump was included in my plan. But their plumber billed me hundreds of dollars. The work is worth that, but I thought my payments already covered it.

Frankly I'd prefer to have these folks as my plumbers, directly, without having to go through Reliance. But I needed a plumber now, and Reliance is good at that. Others aren't.

Service technician was professional and hard working in determining the problem with the hot water tank. We were able to have it replaced the same day.
Very good service by Reliance and were able to get an appointment within 24 hours of our request.

Long story short I had someone come to check out my furnace and they told me I needed a new main board on my furnace and to get it replaced it cost me over 1200 dollars. He came back and changed it but then my furnace ran continuously so I called Murdoch and he discovered that a few wires from the main board were not connected properly. He probably did this purposely because when he left after putting the main board in he said that if I had to call them again and it wasn't a main board problem I would have to pay for the visit so if I called to have him come back I'm sure he would have found a way to charge me. I'm a woman who in their minds I'm sure doesn't know any better but surprise I actually know quite a bit NEVER WILL CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN and I recommend you think twice before you do!!!!

Service was awesome. Highly recommend Reliance service plans. Technician called ahead with his eta. Wore shoe coverings which was appreciated. Explained exactly what the problem was and how to avoid it going forward. Very happy with the service

Very fast and professional service

We also had Daniel install a new sump pump recently to stop flooding in the basement. He was extremely fast and efficient for a Sunday afternoon. By Monday morning the issue was solved and the floor was completely dry in 2 days.

This is why I plan to keep using Reliance Home Comfort because it is usually pretty quick to get a professional to visit your home quickly and have your problems solved quickly.

It reduces the stress and panic when things go wrong in the house. I definitely recommend using them. Send Daniel to our home every time please he is fantastic.

Technician came to address listed and did a wonderful job. Placement for water tank a little tight but he had no problem removing the old one and replacing with newer model. Hook up done professionally and accurate. Cleaned up after and very polite. Well done and thank you !

Reliance has been a good company to deal with. They are prompt, their employees are friendly & efficient and they fix problems quickly.
I was having issues with my hot water heater not having capacity to take baths 2 days in a row. Service guy came on Sunday, took a look and said I’ll get you a new one. Firas came today and installed a new heater with no problems. He was courteous and quick!

my water heater let go at some point during the holidays. When I noticed I called right away. An appointment was scheduled less than 24hrs. They showed up, change out the water heater and re-piped the exhaust vent in about an hour. A huge shout out to Borin and Warren for an amazing job. Both were very polite, respectful of my home and professional.

Reliance is a company that doesn't care about their clients once they got them into signing a contract with them.
Reliance installed a furnace and air conditioner at my daughter's place supposedly brand new but we have called them 7times now for repairs for either the furnace in the winter and when summer hits it's the air conditioner. They gave us a no stress guarantee and a no lemon guarantee in the contract but they were coming up with all kinds of excuses now that we are claiming them! The second repair guy that came even said, after seeing the units, "these are what they gave you? Did they say they're brand new? I know exactly where they came from!" However, when we ask him to further tell us about the units, he didn't want to talk anymore. We thought, either he is saying the truth or maybe just an unhappy employee. So after the fourth call, we started complaining and up to now they just keep making promises that even the agent who was helping us with the claim in the beginning just tell us now, "I am sorry but I have done my part, I don't know what else to do". In his last attempt to help us, he said he will send a senior technician to determine a solution. Come the appointment, a sub-contractor showed up! The very same one who did the soldering on one part of the furnace and burned it and another technician came and replace it with an older one that according to him is "old but still works". The furnace is supposed to be brand new and after getting a burned part and made it even worse, was replaced by "older" part? Now the Representative doesn't even pick up our calls or return them nor does he answer any of our text messages anymore. We don't know what happened to, "No worries, you can always call me when there is a problem. I promise you can count on me." when he was trying to sell to us.
The air conditioner makes noise that neighbours complain and Reliance comes and fix and after sometime the noise comes back again. Seven repairs in less than a year and they don't want to agree that they should replace them to live up to a " No Lemon Guarantee" in the contract!
Sometimes giving second chances can cause grief. I had bad experience with Reliance myself but Reliance pointed their finger on to the representative saying he did not give me the right information. I pointed out to them that even in that case, Reliance is responsible because the representative was representing them. Still, I got nowhere with my complaint.
So pleaseeeee have mercy on yourselves and spare yourselves from the headache and heartache! Reliance scams people too by installing lemons and then giving empty promises. You hear all the good "guarantees" and you would think that protects you but they are ready with all kinds of loopholes when the problem arises. They would not work with you anymore once they got your business! You'll be left crying with the big headache!

My experience was exceptional. The tech showed up when expected and the job was completed without issue. Very nice fellas who did the install. Also received a follow up call from Reliance to ensure we were happy with the service received. Overall, a very good experience.
