We did a landscaping project with 7 Dees. It turned out beautiful and was just what we wanted! They had great communication throughout the project and even followed up with us afterward to fine turn the watering time/sprinklers. Overall a great experience. Sam and Nate were on our project, both did a fantastic job!

Our yard was overgrown and needed a major overhaul. The paths were filled with weeds and most of the plants were overgrown after years of neglect.
The paths needed to be completely dug out and all the debris hauled away and replaced with 3plus inches of 1/4 minus and compacted. Huge job. The flower gardens needed to be completely scraped aways after years of plantings migrating out of control.

The crew was amazing and great to work with. Very dedicated to doing the best job. We loved these guys...Brady, Willem, Angel & Tarsan. Every day they cleaned up perfectly before leaving for the day. They would check with us daily on their progress to be sure we were happy with the results and if we had any requests.

I have low voltage wiring & fixtures running all over the place and I fully expected that this would be a challenge and would need to be repaired after such an extensive job. All irrigation and low voltage wiring and fixtures were back up and running in perfect condition at the end of the job.

We're thrilled with the results and highly recommend the company.

I worked with Austin Kelly who did a terrific job, bringing my vision for my yard to life. He started with a bare yard as we had retaining wall work done that had decimated our yard. He understood what I was looking for and came up with a plan that made sense for the space. The workers who did the actual landscaping were prompt, courteous, and neat. When problems arose, Enrique, the project manager, communicated effectively and was able to offer me solutions that worked with my yard. I had tried to work with other landscape designers who wanted to charge me almost a quarter of what my project cost just for the plans. Everyone who comes into my yard really loves it—I have spent more time in my yard this summer than the previous 20 thanks to Austin and Enrique and the crew. Highly recommend!

We had used Lars Nielsen and Dennis’ 7 Dee’s Landscaping for a large project in 2015. A portion of the yard needed an update and I contacted Lars this past winter/spring. He made a visit and very quickly had the updated plan drawn up and presented. The update tied in nicely with the existing landscaping and with a few adjustments we signed off on the plan. The work crew was fantastic and were very attentive to us and importantly to our neighbors, as we share a driveway. Navigating existing irrigation/electrical can be challenging but this crew handled all the obstacles with professionalism. The end product is beautiful and makes our outdoor experience so enjoyable. This is a really well run landscaping company with great people and we happily recommend them to anyone who asks.
Updated 11/22/2025: Lars and his team returned once again to our home to tackle some long standing irrigation deficiencies, patio paver repair work and additional landscaping updates. The crew was fantastic and handled the diversity of work with ease giving us a landscape that will give us enjoyment for many years. Lars does a really great job of creating consistency with his plan updates. The landscape has a very nice flow and feel to it. We highly recommend Lars and his 7 Dees team!

Drew Snodgrass to the rescue, again! This is our second experience working with Drew: he did a major front yard renovation at our previous home (gorgeous) and most recently helped us created a huge level space in our backyard for our daughters wedding. With only a few months before the wedding, Drew advised us how he would approach leveling the space, add flowers to give the yard that special day feel, widen our path to a special space across a creek, and add a bursts of color with hydrangeas, petunia's, begonia's, impatiens, and geranium's. Drew was there throughout the entire process, working with the crew, answering our never-ending questions, making sure we got the best bang for our buck. He went above and beyond making sure we had the right amount of water running during the 116 degree weather to ensure we didn't lose any plants, and make sure our grass and flowers peaked at just the right moment. Not only is Drew amazingly creative, he's just a wonderful human being. We 100% recommend Drew Snodgrass and Dennis' 7 Dees Landscaping!

Justin did a plan for me at the beginning of the year, which was just what I wanted. It was lovely. I moved forward with getting a bid from him, and it was confusing and hard to tell what I was really paying for. I decided to move forward with a portion of the plan which entailed renovating a front garden bed and a front door patio. His crew came out and did a pretty good job, although they left without raking out the bed and adding compost. No one contacted me from the company to see how things went--I had to contact them. The patio was bid 75 sq ft. bigger than it actually was, (1/3 more!) and it took months for Justin to get back to me on refunding me the money. And then he argued with me! He also sloppily outlined the lawn excavation and it did not match the plan he'd drawn at all. He FINALLY came out and eventually fixed the lawn and gave me a refund for most of the overage on the patio. For what they charged, the work should have been perfect and the customer service should have been exceptional. Not so.

Dennis' 7 Dees is great and Jose and Christian are even greater! They are by far the best landscaping crew we have had in 30 years. Capable, fast, efficient, detail oriented, super nice, and it's obvious that they actually really care about us and our property.

Trial Run Failure...

If you want your curb appeal to have the vibe of an Aloha strip mall with a cheap landlord, these are your guys! Plantings were sparse and unimaginative, both in design and species. We had to move several plants to create a more natural look, as well as add several plants because, even allowing for eventual mature plant size, it just looked silly, especially from the street. More like a bark mulch garden with some grasses from Who-ville plopped down.

The hardscaping was fine. The path was a bit too wide and out of proportion, and not close to what we asked for, but we can live with it. The quality of construction was good. Seems like this is their 'go-to' path design and they had trouble visualizing anything else.

The most distressing experience was the Peony Debacle. We had eight mature peonies in the scope of the work area. Two were to be relocated and the rest we requested to remain in their original location. Two peonies were relocated, as agreed, but only two were left in their location. One peony was uprooted and tossed into the shrubbery, left to wither and die. Three other peonies have disappeared, along with their support rings, presumably to a composted grave. Four mature peonies gone (although we may be able to revive the one tossed into the shrubs). No explanation, no apologies, not a word. What the actual heck, guys?!?

Disappointingly, we were ghosted by the project designer after requesting a return visit to move only one plant and credit us for the disappeared peonies. Not too much to ask, or so we thought. Apparently it over-taxed their ability to be professional and resolve the issues, and we can only surmise they have fallen into a weeks-long swoon from which they briefly surfaced to submit an invoice for full payment of the balance.

Our best guess is that this was a small job and they quickly lost interest, stopped paying attention to the client, and just gave it the 'usual minimum'.

Needless to say, some other company will be getting the jobs for the retaining wall and the backyard remodel.

Last Fall 7 Dees came out to completely redo our front and back yard landscaping. Kelly, our project manager/designer was friendly, informative, and helpful. The yard was asphalt, concrete, wood chips, and lawn. We had a vision and the whole team made it happen.

Nathaniel, Joe & Juna are the bomb! Juna, a knowledgeable and wonderful designer, really captured what I had drawn out for this project. Nathaniel & Joe, along with the other crew members worked their butts off to transform the front and back.

I hadn't thought out the seasons with regard to plant availability and viability for late summer/early fall. I wasn't keen with the plant offerings. In hind sight some of the plantings should have simply been done the following spring. We did work out a resolution. I would recommend that this kind of conversation should happen at the beginning of a project to set the right expectations.

The hardscape is what really transformed the space. Who knew you could love a driveway. The new rock wall adds character. The 5 new trees are filling in along with the bushes. I've added some flowers and plants throughout the season. It makes me happy and our neighbors compliment the transformation.

We couldn’t be happier with the landscaping Dennis’ 7 Dees did for us in 2019! They completely transformed our property with new trees, shrubs, grasses, irrigation, lighting, a paver walkway, and a beautiful back patio. Lars Nielsen and his team were amazing — professional, friendly, and detail-oriented. Not a day goes by that we don’t admire the beauty of our outdoor spaces. We can’t recommend them highly enough!

Kelly and Chris with Dennis 7 Dees have been maintaining my yard for around a year, including pruning the shrubs, mowing and maintaining the lawn, fertilizing, and cleaning up leaves and other debris from the big trees around the yard. They do a great job and are professional and friendly. The company’s charges aren’t cheap, but I think you usually get what you pay for.

After meeting with four landscaping companies for our small front and back yard, the plan Lars provided captured exactly what we wanted with a beautiful and low maintenance design. We appreciated that the bid was clearly divided up so we understood the cost of various aspects and that it was no issue when we decided to do various parts ourselves to save on the cost (i.e. river rock along the parking strip). Lars was highly communicative throughout the entire process -- I had lots of questions! -- and flexible when it came to meeting our requests. We are going through the Backyard Habitats certification so it was great to be able to tailor our design to include mostly native plants, no pesticides and eco-lawn seed installation. The crew that visited our house was wonderful and we love how our design came to life! Soon afterwards we realized that we wanted to add some boulders to the front and even though it was their busy season, they were able to quickly accommodate this add on. The excellent customer service we received combined with the experience of their knowledgeable staff is truly outstanding. We highly recommend D7D and Lars in particular for any landscape project!

Dennis' 7 Dees did a beautiful landscaping job in our backyard! The project was done at the beginning of June, and the photos attached here reflect the growth as of today, later August. The flowers and trees are growing perfectly, we now have bees and hummingbirds to watch, and really enjoy some natural beauty while spending so much time at home during this pandemic. Through the design process, labor and speedy execution of the crew, and after completion; the designer Lar's has been responsive, kind, and helpful. He is incredibly knowledgeable about plants and gives fantastic advise on the care of them. We would absolutely work with this company again!

As a very finicky customer of 7 Dee's for over 15 years, I'm very happy to relate that they have just completed the sixth landscaping project around my yard. When I was a kid of ten years and stuck mowing the seemingly endless lawns of summer, I swore that when I was an old dude that I would never touch another lawnmower. Lars Nielsen and crew made that a reality: there is not a single blade of grass on this property and the results are not just good but extraordinary. Lars designed a lush rockery and dry-creek bed that replaces the front slope that, fifteen years on, folks on the street still stop, gawk and compliment me about. This year, Lars and crew hardscaped a beautiful, cutting-edge stone patio and path in a seldom used portion of the yard. The added garden lighting was not at all regretted ... like all the other scaping 7 Dees has performed around here, it is simply a knock-out from both outdoors and indoors.

Anybody with a shovel can randomly dig holes and stick plants in the ground and call themselves gardeners ... even landscapers. But the really remarkable thing about quality landscaping is that it's like adding previously unknown, unappreciated living space to a home. And, at the same time, it significantly adds to the home's value; that's a no-brainer if hesitant about any outdoor scaping project.

Rafael does a very conscientious job taking care of our landscape maintenance. He is cheerful, responsive to my requests, and does a very good job of keeping the lawns and beds looking good and free of debris. He asks timely questions, and I appreciate talking with him about what he thinks needs to be done at each time of year. He has known the property for years and this was just our first year here. We feel he deserves good recognition for his work throughout the year.

We had a great experience working with Lars - from planning to plant selection and project completion. We appreciated his expertise and recommendations, as well as having an easy-to-get-ahold-of point of contact throughout our two phase project. We were very please with the quality of the crew's work in leveling our backyard and installing a retaining wall, as well as with the plantings. We also appreciate the plant warranty for the first year.

Very pleased with the yard maintenance that Raphael and Yosi do each week for me. I have a large yard with many large and small trees that are continually shedding debris and, each week, the guys manage to have my yard looking clean, and very presentable in a small amount of time before they leave. It always seems like a small miracle to me that they can and that it’s done. I’m not expecting perfection and that’s impossible anyway but I always know when they leave that they’ve done their very best. Also, Raphael is good about asking questions if he thinks I might like something done differently or he’s not sure about something. That’s always appreciated! Many thanks to Raphael for that… going the extra mile… and the hard work he and Yosi do in my yard each week. .

Dennis 7 Dees' did a great job on our backyard renovation. They made sure everything fit perfectly, stayed late and went the extra mile to go above and beyond our expectations.
