I called in desperation. Our tenant was sweltering. And it was just before the 4th of July holiday. Another company couldn't come out for 5 days, but Jerry (who answered the phone himself) said he could come out the very next day. He and his associate identified the problem, fixed it, checked the other unit too, and it was at a very reasonable price too. He was incredibly kind on the phone and in person. Can't recommend enough! Thank you Jerry!

Scott the estimator came out and put together a bid for a gas furnace in our home in Oregon City. I really felt like he listened to us and helped us find a nice unit that worked with our budget. I didn’t feel like he was trying to squeeze us for money. The installers Chad and Ben came out and were very professional. I would definitely recommend this company. We are very pleased so pleased that I’m writing this review.

Everyone we interacted with at Advanced was responsive and professional. They offered a good price on an excellent Mitsubishi heat pump. Installation was smooth and well-executed.

These guys were awesome! I had several bids and theirs was not the lowest, but their presentation and knowledge seemed superior to the others.
The installation was quick and professional.
I would strongly recommend at least having them give you options and a bid.

They messed up a relatively simple assignment, and they charged for a service charge directly after a four grand project and did not check their work which was indeed the issue. Without the help of Comfort Solutions, Heating & Cooling in Clackamas I could still have issues with a furnace from a roofing project where two pipes just needed shortened and recapped but Advanced technicians switched them and Advanced technicians said that wasn't the case and it turns out they obviously never checked because it was. With the proper documentation presented(as they asked for it)Advanced did switch the vents back, but had to access them in the basement so the NEW sixteen grand roof would not be torn up due to their poor judgement. They never refunded the service charge on the call to please come check the venting "the furnace suddenly doesn't work....." Very nice people, but I think I'll call Comfort for any and all things gas furnace from now on.

I had my very old ducting replaced with new stuff and all of the lines moved around. The crew did a great job. What I appreciated the most was their flexibility alongside the other construction I had going on and working with me and my requirements without being stiff about what they would/not do. Everyone was very friendly, including the office staff.

Had a new Furnace & Air Conditioner installed by Advanced Heating, from the time they came out and gave the bid to the time they did the install was very Professional.When the gentleman gave us the bid he did not try to up sale anything, he found out what was best for us and our house and met those needs, which was not the top of the line product. I also did some research on the product we had installed. We received a very good product with very good warranty at a excellent price.

The installers were professional and advised us everything they were doing before they did it, there were no surprises to my wife and I on anything they installed and how they were going to install it. My wife asked a lot of questions and i asked some also, they responded to us promptly and answered all of our questions, they put us at ease with the install.

My wife and I just purchased a 70 year old house in Portland. Great house but needed some much needed upgrades. One of which was a full HVAC system. Greg the point person was great to work with. The gentleman who actually performed the work was Chad Hacking. He was polite, efficient and communicative. He always answered my questions and was responsive to my wants. I wanted to hide the AC compressor behind the house, not on the side where it had sat. No problem. Chad and his friendly apprentice, cleaned up and left the place spotless. They even put a light fixture in the furnace room, unsolicited. I had a great experience with this company. Chad even saw to it that I was only with out heat for the shortest time possible. They even provided a space heater. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to upgrade their heating/cooling system. Top notch.

A great experience overall. The installers were nice, and made sure the unit was running properly and seemed to enjoy their work. I was notified of the install date and time well before the date so I had plenty of time to plan. Would recommend them to anyone. I didn't order the unit so I can't speak to the cost.

Advanced Heating was professional and excellent in every way when they did our heat pump installation. It sailed through the inspection and we have enjoyed having our heat pump every day including the days when we get our electric bill.

After 19 years for our furnace and 18 years for the AC, we finally decided to do a preemptive replacement of our HVAC system even though both still work just fine. We reached out to 5 different HVAC contractors and Advanced Heating came out at the top when it comes to value for our money. Why, because they offer Trane which is one of the best, if not the top HVAC at less the cost of other brands that were offered but with better specs, even though the other competitors always say that Trane is overpriced. We were also open to getting other top quality brands like Carrier, Lennox, others, but Advanced Heating gave us the best offer in terms of the models and the capacities for the units that were offered. Other contractors gave just 4 tons for AC and less than 110BTUs for the furnace while Advanced Heating gave us 5 tons for AC with 2 stage and 120 BTUs for the furnace with 96% efficiency and also 2 stage. We actually bought our first Trane AC from them in 2001 and then have them install another one in 2004 after we moved to our current house. After close to 2 decades, we reached out to them again and they sent Greg who is a pleasure to work with and will answer any questions you have. They also sent a battalion of crews from installers, electricians, to a thermostat expert. Special mention to their installers, Sergio and Javier who were excellent to work with and were very patient with my questions. Every concern I've got, they always make sure they took care of them, like insulating the condensation pipes to prevent from freezing during inclement weather conditions. I also learned a lot about the system just by watching them work on the install and them providing me some valuable information. All in all, they finished the job in 2 days, actually half a day each, so a total of 1 day overall. Another special mention goes to Riley who had also been patient with my questions and were on top of scheduling and processing. Finally, on the last day of install, Greg went the extra mile to help make my EcoBee stat work with extra wiring that the new system's 2 stage heating and cooling needs even with only 5 wires available by which he added an extra module to make this happen. We had problems making it work initially, but he stayed behind to make sure it eventually worked. When the county inpector came, he even mentioned that Advanced Heating is one of the top HVAC contractors. Overall, I highly recommend this company as I had an excellent experience working with them.

It was finally time to get off oil as a heat source this year, so we started by getting several bids. Greg came out and looked at our system then sat down and went over the different units. (He even left us a pamphlet which was super helpful). Once we made our decision to go with Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning, they were here within two weeks and got us up and running. They were the only company that had actual customer service. And good customer service! If a business isn't even checking in to get a sale, what sort of service am I going to get when I really need them? I highly recommend them and am so glad that we went with them.

I had an AC unit installed in May by the team at Advanced Heating and they were nothing but professional. The estimate took a few minutes and was super informative and honest about my options. Installation was approved and scheduled in a matter of days. The installation took one working day and was super non-invasive. The technician took me through the process start to end and was extremely communicative with any decisions that needed to be made. We ended up needed to move the placement from the estimate and they made sure to get my approval before anything was installed. The system is running great and saved us from the heat wave. I'll be using AHAC for all my needs from now on!

"Advance Heating and Air Conditioning" were recomnended to us originally by an old family friend, a successful Portland building contractor for both new homes and businesses. We have a 75 year old home in West Linn and the previous heating system had failed a final time. "Just call Advanced," he told me. I asked him if I shouldn't get estimates first. "You can go through the motions, but you'll wind up with Advanced. They know what they're doing from estimate and sales to installation. They understand flow and they look at each house for its own unique issues. Their estimates make sense, they back their work, and they won't push 'product' on you if it doesn't make sense for your house or your budget." We took his advice and contracted with "Advanced" for a new heating system five years ago which has turned out to be perfect for our house. What impressed me most was their insistence that we re-orient the flow throughout the house. They explained their reasoning in a manner which we could understand, and the flow of heat throughout the house was immediately better balanced than it had ever been previously. This year we asked them back to install an integrated air conditioning system (just in time for June's crazy heat, as it turned out) and it works perfectly. This is the first time I've sat down to write one of these reviews, but we think they're as knowledgeable and reasonably priced a company as one could hope for. We have recommended "Advanced" to friends and neighbors and regard them as the best choice in Portland. From the front office to sales to installation, the employees at "Advanced" have been gracious, patient, and good-natured with us from day one, and we have come to consider them neighbors. Their attitude is "old school," and they do their work with pride and follow-up. We recommend them to any home owner or business person hoping for the "best result" in all regards.

Their ability to explain every step of the process and keep me updated on delivery and installation made this easy. The actual installation went without a hitch and well done. Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning did a great job on my home's AC installation this past summer. They were on time, professional, helpful, communicative, knowledgeable, etc. Their prices weren't the lowest, but the price correlated with the products, service, and quality that you get. As they say, you pay for what you get. I would recommend them to other interested customers and will contact them in the future for other heating/cooling needs. Two thumbs up.

Advanced Heating did an excellent job for us. Greg Grimshaw walked us through all the various Furnace and AC units available and explained the benefits and costs of each. They had the best pricing of the 4 estimates that we received which included Trane, NW Natural and Senior Rebates. The installation crew was very professional and completed the work ahead of their estimated schedule. They kept us informed of what they were doing and gave us detailed operational instructions when complete. The office staff has been great to work with by keeping us informed and was very responsive to any questions we had. we're very happy with how quiet and efficient our Furnace and AC units are. We highly recommend Advanced and we plan to have them service of gas fireplaces soon.

From estimate to job completion, the team at Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning was top-notch professional. I needed a simple ducting relocation - the job ended up being more complicated than expected, but the crew got it done beautifully, on time and on budget. Highly recommend.

I've had bad experiences with other companies before and I'm so glad I found them. Our Furnace Quit during the ice storm and we had to go to a hotel. when we returned, it wasn't working at all.
I called and two workers came out to find out why. Both Seth Martins and his assistant DJ Johnson were fantastic.
They were very thorough, explained things showed me the piece that failed and cleaned up everything nicely. I was certain we would need a whole new furnace, and was upset.
Greg Grimshaw the head guy came out. I was told I do NOT need a new furnace! Yay! He was honest. He told me what to expect and even expedited the ordering of the part we needed.
We will be working with Advanced Heating again for maintenance.
