We used advanced for our home for replacement of our circa 1970 furnace and install of an air conditioner. Their price was competitive and they were very responsive to my wife's request to make the unit as quiet as possible. Came back twice to adjust vents and ducting to make it just right. We were so happy with everything that we used them again to add AC to our rental property. I would definitely recommend them.

This business is run with care. Very knowledgeable and professional. Also, through the Years, they have been helpful with my endless questions. Front desk, receptionist, is smart and personable. Feels like they're family.

I enjoyed my experience with Advanced. They sent an easy-to-talk to HVAC tech, and gave me a fair estimate. When I signed the contract, they came right away to install my furnace. They helped me understand exactly which product I needed, and made it easy to learn how my new furnace works. New my heating system was installed in a high quality fashion, and I have not had any problems with it.I am very satisfied with the work they did.

I first reached out to Advanced a couple years ago to explore heat pump options. But needed to save up some cash. This year was a big year for home improvement projects and the capstone was the installed heat pump from these folks. Highly recommended for any H&AC needs in Portland! They were professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the process, and installed an electric ducted H&AC system on a short timeline to accommodate my work schedule at thousands of dollars less than the other quotes I received. The entire Advanced Team exceeded all expectations! From the office manager who coordinated everything, to the field representative who developed my quote, to the installation team, I couldn't be more satisfied. Communication was excellent. The installation is journey-level and clean. I received an in-person orientation during the system startup. The high-efficiency Trane system they installed is performing better than I could have believed and very quiet to run, both indoors and outside. It is user friendly and easily programmed to keep us comfortable around the clock. I recommend Advanced to anyone looking for a similar experience because mine was the best!

I had ductless mini splits installed in Aug 2023, 1 week before a heat wave! My little home was kept delightfully cool.

The staff at AH&AC was courteous, kept to the schedule they set, and finished the work much faster than initially estimated. They were very tidy and did a good job keeping the doors closed while working so my cats didn't try to escape.

The city inspector who came to check everything out was impressed by the work they did.

I also really appreciated that, of the several estimates I got before choosing AH&AC, they were the only ones who took care of the rebates for me and included that $$ off in their bid.

From the estimate to the installation, working with this company was seamless. I can not recommend them enough. They have your best interests in mind, and we are so appreciative of their care and knowledge base to help us make the best purchase for our home. The team working on the house was respectful and quick! After talking to four different companies about what air conditioner to install, I can confidently say that this company is truly about customer service and not just making a sale. 100/10 stars.

I would give Tristan B. 10 stars if I could! He came to my house and did a yearly maintenance check on my outside A/C unit. He installed a surge protector, cleaned the coils, cleaned up his work area. I was having a problem with my mini split system in my other house and he told me what the problem might be. I tried what he suggested and sure enough, it worked! He saved me another service call. That dude is awesome!

I got seven quotes for a new heat pump and Advanced was not only the most competitive, they also offered the system that was my preferred choice. They are friendly, professional, very knowledgeable, and quick with customer service. I'm so glad I contacted them and I couldn't be happier with my new system.

When our gas furnace decided it was done we had Advanced come out &, long story short, we had them install a heat pump system. They were absolutely great & would highly recommend them! They moved their schedule around in order to get our system installed within a few days as the weather was about to go into the teens & they wanted to make sure we didn't freeze. The whole team was great from Riley in reception to Greg in sales & our install team led by DJ & Sergio. The heat pump has been great, since we didn't want to deal with a backup heat source Greg suggested a Mitsubishi unit that's rated to -5 degrees & it's kept us plenty warm even on the extra cold days. They also made the process of getting government credits & rebates super easy. The whole process was really smooth & set our minds at ease, never felt like we were being talked into something more than we wanted.

I recently purchased a home in Portland and was urgently getting quotes from multiple companies for MiniSplits to be installed before the new year. Advanced Heating and Air not only beat the prices of others in the area, but made sure the units were installed in a timely manner that fit within my schedule! Great customer service throughout and I am extremely please with their work and consideration! Thank you all at Advanced Heating & Air, I am now super warm and cozy!

The fellow writing the proposal was knowledgeable generally, and researched when I had a question he couldn't immediately answer. He provided a range of choices of variable versus single vs two speed systems, and could explain the pros and cons. The price was quite competitive. The equipment was available within a week. Installation was three days later, and took less than two days. Very impressed. My quibbles are small. First, the bid factored in a limited-income incentive that I'm not eligible for. I am eligible for a lesser incentive. I could easily adjust, since I happened to know, but that could have been frustrating for another customer. I don't think this is a reason not to use them, it's something to check out on your own; they don't necessarily know my income, nor do I want them to. Second, they didn't provide a thermostat manual when they installed- but they found one and delivered it. Overall, outstanding. Some of the more prominent contractors in town couldn't even schedule a walk-through for many weeks, by then Advanced got the job done, and done right.

I just had a new furnace and Ac unit installed at my home. I had the most professional, stress free, courteous experience that I could ask for. From my first call to Riley and Melissa to schedule an on sight evaluation, to Greg coming out to my home, with his vast knowledge and expertise, explaining all of my choices and his recommendations ( which were not the most expensive choices), to the installing team, Omar, Javier and Jacob, who went above and beyond providing a quality, professional install, and at the same time kept my home clean while work was being done. Last but not least the techs, DJ who double checked everything, fine tuned the system, and made sure it was operating at the highest efficiency, which it is, and Mike making sure I was satisfied with everything and making sure nothing was left undone. Greg also did one more final walkthrough to triple check everything, inspected every nook and cranny and put his stamp of approval on all, and made sure I was happy with all.
What a team! What a great product! I am 100% confident, and know, I made the right choice choosing Advanced Heating! Many, many thank yous to the whole team!!

My experience has been very sad. I have a few homes that Advanced Heating have installed and helped me for easily 12 years but unfortunately, with and the last 2 times, my experience has been very poor. One experience was in my view a poor technician that caused no heat in my home until they sent out another tech to test and review to fix. I went almost a week without heat. Recently I scheduled an online appt to fit their schedule as it wasn't a priority but needed to manage my business. I closed appointments and they cancelled creating a loss for my business. They apologized and scheduled a new time and again, closed my business for income and they pushed me out approximately 3-hours for more loss of business and for a 2nd time it didn't work out. I spoke to the office manager that this 3rd time should be complementary after having 2 poor scheduling experiences and the office manager agreed. They then charged our business anyway after a 20-minute review to say all is fine. it felt like a wham-bam thank you Mam to say all is good and billed me when we had already discussed the loss we took just to have them come and not show multiple times. After years of a relationship, I feel like I've been shafted and It's just another one of those companies that grow and don't care about a relationship. Feels like I've lost a trusted partner - SAD

Would not use again for anything. Office is disorganized - made appointment and they had to call me back to find out why I made the appointment. They also told me one price, and then the service was another price - so get anything in writing BEFORE you have them come out. Sent emails to wrong email. Was also billed initially for a maintenance plan I never discussed. Expected a report of the NW Natural 19 point furnace /11 point AC tuneup which is what I requested but just got some brief notes - no idea of condensate pump actually at 90%, or limit operations are in place or what the refrigerant pressure was, or whether the gas pressure was correct, among other things. Could have cleaned the unit myself for that price! Also suspect that tech blew fuses on the unit - they fixed them, after 45 minutes of figuring it out, but it was working right up until they showed up and started doing maintenance... That's wasn't too big a deal though - tech seemed otherwise competent and polite. Until shortly after she left our condensate pump failed. The one thing we'd specifically discussed was that being cleaned - it's also called out on the tuneup checklist and she said she did it, and we did see less scale in there. But when we went to replace it - it was an algae farm. Obviously not cleaned! Suspect that it was broken by being poked around in to loosen scale and make it look cleaner, although I don't know for sure and probably never will. Highly disappointing from start to finish with the disorganized office, misleading billing, lack of report information and things not done that were specifically told were done. Feel like I paid hundreds of dollars to have my unit damaged. Company didn't even bother to reply when I communicated my experience.

Looking for someone to help install AC was extremely challenging, but I am very happy with Advanced. Their technicians are knowledgable, kind, and enjoy helping people make the most out of their installs. I am grateful for their attention to detail and responsiveness to my inquiries as well.
