We are very happy with the work Jeff and his team has done on our chimney. They came on time and finished the work as scheduled without leaving any mess behind. They covered other equipments around the chimney and protected it really well. We are very pleased with the overall experience. We have already referred Jeff to our other friends :)

I have used Oregon Chimney several times and found them to be honest, reasonably priced, and competent. It can be difficult to get on their schedule because the office phone is never answered by a person and returned phone calls can take up to a day, but the actual work is good once they get to you. I would recommend this company for anyone not in a hurry to get something done. My favorite thing about this company is that they will offer you repair and replacement options. So if you can't afford the best possible option, they can work within your budget to keep things safe and functioning.

Colleen was an absolute ROCKSTAR and professional. She was the only one to go out of her way to not only get us a call back, a technician was at our house the next day and then she followed up. NOT ONE other business returned our call or they simply said "we don't do that type of maintenance". Oregon Chimney asked more questions and followed up to see if they could be a good resource to us. Thank you Oregon Chimney, I look forward to seeing the job done.

Repaired the neighbors chimney and used my yard to do the dirty work. Also their scaffolding fell against our house and left some damage. They did not repair the yard or damage to the house. Didnt even acknowledge either actually. On a side note, had them quote a job last year and their price was double from other companies.

I have a large chimney with three flues that were supposedly cleaned when we bought the house last May. I called OR Chimney and asked if they would be willing to please come and check it for me as I wasn't sure if it needed to be cleaned again or not. It turns out that when it was cleaned last May, they only did the main fireplace and there was 10 YEARS of creosote built up in the other two. Dan did a very thorough job with this helper Stefan and they left my house super clean, which was impressive for all of the soot they hauled out of my house. I am so happy I called them and know my chimney is much safer for the winter. I would definitely recommend calling them!

I recently purchased a fixer upper in SE Portland, which had two chimney’s, both being really bad disrepair. I called a couple of companies for bids, and ended up going with Rusty and his crew at Oregon Chimney Repair because I really liked the way Rusty approached the “overhaul” of my chimney. He gave me very specific options, and a cost breakdown of what needed to be done. His bid was lower than the other bids and included more work.

Now to get to the good part. I live out of state currently, so I had to have this work done without me there, which made me nervous. I had to have an old furnace chimney taken down, and have some pretty serious soot clean up done. And I also had to have my main fireplace chimney totally waterproofed, tuck-pointed, and partially re-bricked. A ton of work. Throughout the process they were super communicative, and sent me photo’s at the end, since I wasn’t there to see it. I was shocked at what a good job they did. The chimney’s both looked brand new.

After all the work had been done, I had to make a quick trip to Portland for another reason, and noticed a little problem going on in the basement from the furnace chimney. I called Rusty and he showed up less than two hours later, totally fixed the problem and stayed to help me clean up a mess (something I would never have expected him to do.) I could breathe a big sigh of relief knowing that the problems with these chimneys were problems no more. These guys are serious professionals, and I am so happy that I went with them, as I felt like they really took care of my property and took pride in their work. Thumbs up!!! Thanks Oregon Chimney!

I recently had this company come out and inspect a fireplace because I have had water come into
the downstairs walk out basement around the fireplace. I did this because a company called Brick by Brick recommended that my water problems were not do to poor soil drainage but due to the fireplace itself. I first called Portland Chimney and Masonry Inc. They came out and said I needed $1600 worth of work on the fireplace and that would solve my water coming into the house problems . Thank goodness I got a second opinion from Oregon Chimney Repair and Cleaning!! This company was so honest and forthright about the issue. They said my fireplace was in great condition and that it was not the source of my water intrusion problems. They advised I contact a water proofing and drainage company. I am quite angry at the first company and so grateful for Oregon Chimney Repair and Cleaning. Please call them for all your "honest" fireplace and chimney needs.

Oregon Chimney repointed my chimney and replaced the fireplace. Travis performed the work and did an exceptional job. He was very meticulous and hard working. I am thoroughly pleased with the repairs.

Oregon Chimney removed an old furnace chimney, patched the roof, and replaced the deteriorating mortar in our main chimney. The quality of the work was fantastic, as was the cleanup. Amique at the main office was really outstanding and helped us make sure that the finished product was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!

In the process of purchasing home the inspector suggested a chimney-fireplace professional come take a look at some issues. Because of the fires I expected they would not be able to get someone out quickly. We explained our need for "this week" and their scheduling person was very understanding and made it happen. Jeff arrived on time and immediately went to work. He reviewed with us his findings at the conclusion of inspection and emailed estimate of costs the same day. If all goes our way and we buy the house I will be calling to book a technician and use them for the annual chimney cleaning.. Very impressed with Oregon Chimney Repair & Cleaning! Steve came to our home to give us a bid on 2 chimney repairs. My husband and I liked him right away! He was professional, punctual and very courteous. We scheduled for last week and even though the weather was very hot, Steve and his crew of Lowell and Taylor were on the job. We were extremely pleased with the work and the extensive clean up of any dust. They were particularly careful of my garden and plants and I certainly appreciated that. My work history involved dealing with people in the political arena and the public and I was always very aware of making certain peoples needs were met and courtesies were extended. Steve did just that. He made certain we were satisfied with his work and came back to check to make certain his job was satisfactory. Oregon Chimney is fortunate to have Steve on "the team." He certainly is Number One in our books and I would recommend him to anyone that needs your service. Thank you again.

I wish I could give a better rating, but the email address on the Oregon Chimney Repair & Cleaning, Inc. website doesn't work! My Gmail tried to send repeatedly for days, but alas, it failed. This seems like a pretty basic principle for being in business: allow your customers to contact you! If you can't get that right, how can I trust you to do anything right?

Oregon Chimney rebuilt my 100 year old chimney about 2 years ago. They did a great job. Recently, we had a tornado run through our neighborhood. This is very unusual for Portland. It was a small tornado but had enough strength to pull off the chimney topper tile and crown. Amber set up the repair schedule, the guys came on time, were very professional, and repaired the chimney. I would recommend them when you need chimney repair.

Steve Ginther and his crew did an excellent job of repairing our fireplace firebox and installing a chimney cap that included a damper, and cleaning the chimney. Steve was especially helpful explaining what needed to be done and why.

I was impressed by their professionalism and the care with which they ensured that no chimney debris or dust entered our living room. At the end of the job everything was clean, neat, and everything worked. Their price was reasonable.

I would certainly hire again for any repairs, and I will hire them for routine cleaning in the future.

First rate experience from start to finish. Kudos to all involved at Oregon Chimney, from Jeff's explanation of the work to be done, which was the tear down and rebuild of the upper part of our chimney. After meeting with Jeff, it was clear to me that 90% of the work suggested by another outfit was unnecessary. Jorge and his wife, Jezebel did a fabulous job with the rebuild. Neat and professional. Today, Noah, also from Oregon Chimney, gave our chimney a sweep. What's not to like from a company from which you get honesty, a fair price, well executed work, and great customer service!!

Amber, in the office, and Jeff, the on-site supervisor and possibly owner, provided great communication and information. Jeff explained thoroughly what was needed. I was able to get both the estimate and work done quickly and expertly. We needed several layers of bricks and mortar replaced on our chimney. Jeff also examined our two fireplaces and gave us some tips on operating one of the dampers which has a tendency to stick. We thought the prices charged were reasonable. I would highly recommend this company.

Your employee Casey came to to my home Tuesday 11/3/2020 to inspect, clean my chimney and wood stove. He spent several hours cleaning years worth of build up and did an amazing job. I tried to offer him a tip which he could not accept. I want to make sure you know how appreciative I am of him and your company and will refer to anyone who has asks.
Thank you again for excellent customer service, great job, and reassuring me that my fireplace is now safe to use in the winter. Giving me a safe piece of mind now knowing heating my home is safer is priceless and completely appreciated!

I had chimney leak that rusted good amount inside of my fireplace. First company's quote was $1599 with 3 major repairs listed to fix leaky chimney, second company's quote was $495 with only 1 major repair listed to fix leaky chimney. While the lower amount better fit my budget, you get what you pay for and would paying the additional money provide longer lasting results? Jeff from Oregon Chimney then came out to provide me my 3rd and final quote. He was outstanding explaining to me what needed to be done. He explained one of the repairs wasn't necessary in the higher quote and the less expensive one didn't include adding a 10-year protective coating. He then gave me his quote that was right in between the others and that was that. His willingness and patience to help me understand enough to make an informed decision is why I chose Oregon Chimney for the work. I asked if he could come and do one of the repairs then at a later date finish up with the last repair so the cost wouldn't consume one whole paycheck and it worked out great.
We won't know it's a 100% fix til we get a few nights of solid rain and if it somehow continues to leak, Jeff will come back out until it is.

Very professional & easy to work with. Jeff explained the condition of our chimney & what needed to be done. Since we are getting a new roof, we wanted chimney rebuild done first. They rearranged their schedule to work us in. Selene is a gem to deal with in the office. The guys that did the rebuild were very professional & friendly. Arrived on time & did a great job. Clean up was done very well. Highly recommend. Really appreciated their flexibility.
