Solid work and awesome response time. I needed some mason work done quickly for the repair addendum on selling our house. Bill came out to my house the same night I called for a quote, had a crew out the next day, and when the mortar settled there were a few cracks (to be expected) and he had the crew back out the next day to fill in the cracks and seal them. They also have online payments, which makes it very easy. Appreciate all the hard work, guys. Gave your info to my broker who didn't know a solid mason group and hope it brings you guys more business.

We have had Chimney Sweep Specialists come and seal the outside of our fireplace and chimney. Years past we had to have the whole think remortered. This is how I found out about this process to help keep the mortar and chimney looking great and aging well. The guys that come are efficient, friendly and very considerate of our property. This is a great company.

Our fireplace had a wood stove insert which was removed when we bought the house. After removal it was clear the chimney/fireplace needed some work. We had a cleaning and inspection ($250), and was quoted $3500 to get the fireplace and chimney able to burn safely. $1000 was for exterior work, and $2500 was for interior work, including a complete back wall rebuild.

We had the exterior done first and they did a great job. The interior was rather expensive so we waited a few months. Before we had them come back I decided to get another quote and it was for only $1100 instead of $2500! The other company came out today and took care of it. He informed me that the back wall was totally fine and did not need to be rebuilt. He has been in the industry 20 years. He also said the exterior work would have cost $750 through him, so 25% less than these guys. He did say the exterior work looked good, and I'm not really upset about a $250 difference in quotes, that's just the way it goes.

What does upset me is that we almost got tricked into a bunch of work that was unnecessary. I know quotes for any job can very (wildly sometimes), but in this case they quoted for work that was not required. This just doesn't sit right with me. If you need work done, get several quotes and make sure everyone is on the same page with what work is actually required.

In addition there was quite the miscommunication about the original quote they gave. We were not sure if we wanted wood burning or to put a gas insert, so they included sections "For wood burning" and "For gas insert" with different prices (since gas inserts are far less hot than an open fire). When they came to do the exterior work I was informed that these were incorrect, and we needed to do ALL the work on the quote regardless of gas or wood burning. I pointed out the sections on the quote and he just kinda shrugged and said whoever gave the quote was wrong, and we needed to do everything.

Since they did good work on the exterior I'm giving 3 stars. If you do decide to use them make sure you get additional quotes and make sure there aren't discrepancies

Andrew came out to do a sweep and inspection for us, and found that the chimney did not need the sweep, and only charged us for the inspection. He talked with me at length about how the chimney works, and how to use my wood stove effectively. Very knowledgeable and friendly, and the bill was less than expected

We were having our wood burning insert replaced and it was recommended that we have the chimney swept after the old insert was removed prior to installing the new insert. The specialist showed up right on time, took great care with tarping off the hearth and the surrounding areas, and did a thorough job cleaning the chimney. Great job following covid precautions and letting us know when he'd be using the shop-vac since both of us are working from home right now. I'll definitely work with them again!

Ryan came out to clean our chimney and he did a fantastic job! There was a lot of creosote build up in our chimney, and rather than just saying he got as much as he could he came back the next day with some stronger tools to get everything off! He was very thorough and took the time to inform me of what he did, and he even left the fireplace and hearth cleaner than when he arrived. If you want someone who does an exceptional job ask for Ryan!

This company is amazing! The owner answered the phone right away, scheduled me right away; and Ryan, the technician, was outstanding. He explained everything at the beginning and end; was extremely thorough and clean; no dust or trace of anything on our new light carpet! Chimney Sweep Specialist were the most responsive of the Chimney repair services that I called for a quote that did not charge for the quote, Rolland from C.S.S. came by in a day or so after contact and gave me a good competitive quote he was knowledgeable and friendly. Then because they are so busy about a month later Chris and James showed up on time (within 10 minutes, I live out in the boondocks) and got to work setting up their tools and equipment. From 9:00AM to 1:30PM they set up scaffolding, used a hook ladder to get to my chimney (no holes in the roof) power-washed, ground and tuckpointed, installed concrete crown with 12"x12" flue tile and installed the furnace top plate and water sealed the chimney then took everything down and packed it all up and cleaned up any debris. It looks 100x better than it did and has a five year warranty, I'm pleased with their work and would highly recommend Chimney Sweep Specialist for chimney repair.

I have used Chimney Sweep Specialist twice now for cleaning our open fireplace. They were thoughtful, considerate of my time, and provided a professional service at a reasonable rate. The first time they assessed and cleaned our chimney and replaced our chimney cap with a quality product to bring our fireplace back to life. The second time they cleaned the chimney and followed CDC guidelines with personal protective equipment due to COVID-19. They were timely, efficient, and did a thorough job with no mess. Great service, fair pricing, and nice guys! Ryan came out to inspect and clean our wood stove & chimney. He was very thorough and gave us tips on how to use it effectively and safely. He also suggested some repairs for our second chimney and a crew was back out in a week to fix them. They did a great job and the chimney top looks brand new! Would highly recommend this service.

They delivered phenomenal service and got the work done right. Sent a request through Angi and they responded before the others. Cleaned out our air ducts and offered to run evaluations before we decided to go through with a chimney sweeping. Very considerate of our budget and gave options on services. Aaron and Bill were great to work with and we will directly work with them again in the future.

Highly recommend this company. Roland took what was in my brain and put it on my wall to make my fireplace look new and stylish. They were on time every day and he was here a day less than he had planned they were very clean just a great company to have your work done through.

I needed a chimney cap and the job got complicated because the size was non-standard and later a squirrel came into the mix and then there was some rust. Was honest that the chimney was not in need of cleaning. I appreciated the excellent communication and response time to all my questions and concerns. Job well done. Highly recommend.

They not only swept my chimneys, they rebuilt both flues that were completely rusted, rebuilt the stone fire box on one, replaced the flashing, and fixed the chimney caps

Year 2 - Chris showed up and did a thorough job with the chimney cleaning and left no trace.
Year 3 - Ryan did the cleaning in no time. Good to have everything checked out before winter.

They came right away to give me an estimate as to the cost. A few days later I called them accepting their bid and we set a date for the work. They showed up on time, performed the work clean up and were gone the same day. We’re very happy with their work.
