The team at The Heating Specialist did an amazing job of replacing our old worn out furnace and air conditioning system. Jimmy, Jeffrey, and Austin were here on time, were super attentive to details, kept us appraised of their progress, and did an amazing job of installing our new heating and cooling system.
The whole team, from Daniel working with us to get us the right setup for our house, through Presley handling the scheduling, through Jimmy, Jeffrey, and Austin who showed up today to do the tear out and install were all above and beyond our expectations. The install team was impressive - they put down protectors on our carpeting and left us in way better shape than when they arrived. Thank you for helping us and we look forward to you doing all of our future maintenance work!

The technician was professional and very hard working considering the terrible mess he encountered.

I proactively replaced a 100+ year old boiler with a 95% efficient direct vent boiler system. After getting a couple quotes, I ended up using The Heating Specialist and couldn't be happier. From the initial phone call to get an estimate, to the final inspection process, The Heating Specialist was great.

David came out to the house for the initial estimate. He was very personable and took the time to explained my options as well as make sure he understood our wants and needs. Once I confirmed we'd be using his company, the contract was signed and the installment dates were set around my scheduling needs.

The actual instalment took about 7 full days. For this reason, I highly recommend replacing your boiler system proactively and not in the dead of winter when it craps out on you!! Our install was NOT lengthy because they worked slow. I personally under estimated the task at hand. During the install, there were anywhere from 3-6 guys working in my basement from 8:30 am to about 4:00 pm. Grant and his guys were hard workers, very polite, cleaned up every day, and answered all my question (no matter how dumb) as the install progressed. When all was said and done I was left with a very clean and perfectly installed boiler system. My gas bill is also 1/3 of what it was last winter.

Kevin was wonderful! He squeezed us in to repair our AC right before the next heatwave. He walked me through what he was seeing, gave options for immediate but temporary fix or the longer term fix. We really appreciate the team getting us in so fast!

These guys are the best! Specifically Kevin who came out and diagnosed the issue and fixed it right away and was super knowledgable, kind and professional. We had The Heating Specialist install an on demand units a few years ago to heat our radiant floors. They are one of the only companies who know how to do this in Portland. It has been working great so far, with a couple of issues/ questions after the big storm hit. Otto is also a gem also who has always been so responsive via text whenever we have a simple question. Plus, the back office was able to squeeze in a visit within a day when I know they are super busy right now. Highly recommended, all of my neighbors use them too.

Billy was friendly and on time. He found the issue with our water heater. Explained what needed to be done because parts need to be ordered. Cleaned and serviced the unit.

When my 20+ years old water heater began to grumble and growl, I turned to Heating Specialists. They had done such a wonderful job installing my new heat exchanger last year after the ice storm that they were the first company I called.
It was a good choice because Grant and Michael did a great job. It took a lot of hours because the "growler" was filled with sediment and it was slow going getting the water out so they could carry it down from the third floor.
They were thorough and professional. They had plenty of drop cloths to cover all my stairs. No mess was left.

Worked with Kevin to diagnose and fix a series of complex issues in an archaic oil fueled boiler. Kevin went above and beyond. He sourced cheap replacement parts, carefully ran diagnostics, and was able to fix the issues quickly. I could not recommend him more highly.

Very personable and knowledgeable. It took a long time for me to answer the door and he was very patient with me. I have had them maintenance my furnace twice and my air conditioner once. I will have them back to do both again when it is due. Great customer service!
