I had a friend recommend Resilient Retrofits to install a heat pump and I contacted Dirk and within a day he provided me with all the information and throughout the process he kept me informed. The installation went quickly. A month later the tenant sent me a text saying a funny smell was coming out of the unit (this is the reason I am writing this recommendation). Within 24 hours of making contact with Resilient Retrofits, Dirk sent over a worker who inspected the unit and provided the tenant with some tips to prevent the odd smell from occurring. Here is the text from the tenant to me after the worker left, "The worker (Reuben) was fantastic!" I highly recommend Resilient Retrofits. There quick response and professionalism of their staff is amazing.

Received an estimate from six HVAC installers - all were good people with good products. Chose Resilient Retrofits because they were the only outfit that completed and provided an HVAC sizing analysis (not a simple take out and replace the old 15 year unit). In addition, Resilient Retrofits teamed up with PGE to reduce the price of the new unit (completing all the necessary paperwork). Resilient Retrofits installed the new unit better than the old unit - keeping the work site clean and ensuring the system was up and running correctly.

FANTASTIC, sums it up! They replaced my gas furnace with a high cpacity heat pump. I really did my due diligence befrore deciding. I got 14 quotes. I looked at each contractor's reviews, their CCB, BBB, and SOS reports. After looking at so many, I learned a lot, figured out what I wanted, size and brand, gas or electric air handler. 2 contractors withdrew after I asked too many questions! Resilient Retofits was very helpful in explaining what I didn't know. They worked to get me all the possible rebates. Some contractors sent me estimates from contractors who wanted to sell me a unit too big or too small or not a top manufacturer.
RR did great work. Showed up on time, with a large crew. Worked quiet and clean, were nice and personable. They also gave me an excellent price. They restored my faith in contractors. I could not be happier!!

Resilient Retrofits blew insulation into my attic and my house is much cozier! They came quickly to offer a quote, underbid the other larger competitors I reached out to, and completed the work in one day. Great experience using these guys for insulation and replacing an aged gas furnace with a heat pump. All of the team were professional, punctual and great communicators. Shout out to Mark for being able to squeeze into those tight spaces and working with me on timing of arrivals and departures so I could miss less work.

Kyle, the tech, did a very thorough job of both explaining the heat pump he thought would be best for us, and of checking our house for energy leaks, etc. He was knowledgeable about the electrical needs for our job as well as the HVAC equipment.

Mark was very polite and professional from the moment he shook my hand and called me "mam". He worked consistently - I reminded him he should get lunch. He answered all my questions and was very patient with my lack of knowledge about how a heat pump works.
He took great care with covering my carpets and cleaning up all tools, materials and general mess created with the job. A real asset to the company.

He completed a Home Energy Audit/Assessment and gave me a general idea of what kinds of insulation I could do to improve air quality, decrease heat loss & make my home more comfortable in both winter and summer! I will get a complete assessment in a week or so that will be a more comprehensive report about my whole house.

I was initially a little nervous about switching from a gas furnace and AC to a heat pump, but I’m so glad I did. The comfort level is noticeably better— no more hot and cold swings from the furnace constantly turning on and off. Instead, the heat is steady and consistent throughout the house. On top of that, the system is much quieter. My wife, whose home office is right next to both the indoor and outdoor units, is thrilled with how quiet they are compared to our old setup. The team at Resilient Retrofits was great to work with and the results exceeded our expectations.
