Outstanding lamp repair service! Bill is a real pro & a master troubleshooter. Brought in my Crate & Barrel table lamp that had been flickering on & off. In a couple minutes, Bill was able to narrow down the problem & fix it, for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

This is a place where electricians shop!

Explained circuit breakers like I’m five and stocked obscure parts for my ancient oven. No condescension, just solutions.

    Thank you!

David was so helpful today when I stopped by to buy a few lightbulbs that I needed. This was not the first store I went to on this lightbulb search but it was the one where I found what I actually needed! I am grateful for a local place to support that is knowledgeable about lighting. David’s positivity was radiant and really brightened my day! (Haha)

I have purchased many specialty bulbs there over the years and have been happy with their offerings, prices and staff members. I wanted to replace a light and thought I'd go to A-Boy rather than a boutique place like Rejuvenation. I can't say I was happy with the floor sales person. I was pretty clear, I thought, with what I wanted, but she wanted to engage with me on something else entirely. Very frustrating to the point that I felt like I was auditioning for help. The selection they have, though, is quite good when you consider the small size of the store and their prices are quite competitive. I imagine that if I knew more about lighting or were an electrical contractor I would have left with a light, but as it was I left empty-handed.

Months ago, I walked in 30 minutes before closing (I'm sorry) with my beloved, broken touched lamp that I've own for 20 years that was hoping to get it fix on the same day. Bill took care of it like magic with his professional skill and very efficient.
I was and still very happy that my lamp has been repaired.
    Thank you Bill !

Haven't been here in years was sad to see that I was ignored by 2 employees. The 3rd employee helped from beginning to end. In the future if you ask to help me make sure it's not vague and half way. They made me feel like I was bugging them by asking questions on options to fix my problem.

I like the store and for a while went about every other week. Unfortunately, one morning I spent a quite long time browsing and discussing projects with my brother, and an employee insisted we buy something or leave. Pretty sad cause I used to go there all the time.

It is always refreshing to have season helping you out with basic electrical and plumbing They're show room Persons can usually get you the same Items that you looking at online for Substantial lower.cost. Usually the original vintage fixture systems. That are usually cheaper than The new knockoffs

Awesome place to have a vintage light fixture rewired fast and for a good price. They got mine done while i waited in the car, had all the parts there, and knew about the history of the light.

This place never fails to provide top-notch customer service. I can’t tell you how many time I have gone there with a photo on my phone and they steered me in the right direction. They even lent me a strap wrench to finish a project - no charge. Please support this business!

I took a floor lamp in to get it fixed. Bill (in the electric department) heard my story and realized that it wasn't actually broken, a wire had just come loose! He sold me the bulbs I needed and I left with a bit of education and a totally functional lamp! I don't know how many places would have just taken my lamp in and charged me whatever they wanted, but I was totally impressed by the honesty and service and level of experience I found at A-Boy! I'm a life-long customer there now, for sure!

Bill was really helpful and friendly with my lamp project! He walked me through what I needed to buy and helped me figure out how to wire them too :)

I recently brought in an old lamp that I was struggling to get working - even with a new socket. A staff member looked at it right away, found the problem within minutes, and completed the repair at no charge. It’s nice to know this kind of customer service still exists. Well done!

Shopping for ceiling fans, my wife & I were blown away by the excellent customer service from Audrey at A-Boy Hollywood. I went to browse by myself, but ended up sitting down with Audrey to discuss my options in detail. Our next step was that I went home and emailed Audrey photos of the wiring behind my light switches, along with links to a few favorite fans that my wife & I picked out from the online catalogue. Later, my wife & I went to A-Boy together, and Audrey came prepared with full printed specs of our favorite fans, so she could explain how to choose between the ones that would work for us. Once we had settled on the two fans we wanted, Audrey placed the order to make sure everything was correct. For example, one fan needed a special light kit, the other needed a longer down rod, and both needed a compatible wall remote. We paid the invoice, and A-Boy held multiple deliveries until everything was ready for us to pick up. My wife & I took our time through the shopping process, and Audrey put in a ton of work for us every step of the way. Now that they’re installed, we’re super happy with our ceiling fans – thanks so much Audrey!

I think that they are offering high quality customer service for people looking for lighting and bath fixtures (kind of like a showroom for those items?) But in terms of being a hardware store, they perform more poorly than any Ace or do it best hardware in terms of the stock that they carry and the knowledge of the employees of that stock. I don't know who's doing their buying for them, but they clearly are not trying to compete within either the DIY hardware supply space nor the builder hardware supply space.

They have a really good selection of hardware. The people are fantastic they're really helpful. I'm often surprised by the variety of things that they sell. Just a great place to shop!.

I needed a new cold water valve for my shower/tub. The old valve sheared off. I brought in the sheared piece and pictures of the faucet. From one picture Audrey in the plumbing department knew the exact brand. She pulled out an old binder, flipped through some pages and got the manufacturers name and a part number. She explained to me that the company went out of business in 2015 but she knew where to get the part. She printed out a diagram of my faucet set-up with part numbers and gave me the website to order the new one from. I ordered it and installed it today. A-Boy didn't make a dime but they gained a loyal customer. Thank you Audrey!

All I wanted for Christmas was a working 70s lamp, so I can read all the books and drink all the toddies! I called A-Boy and was thrilled and amazed to learn they can work magic on non-working lamps...AND for a much more reasonable cost than Hippo Hardware and others. One day later, my lamp is working magically and the good folks at A-Boy are to sincerely thank...you guys made my day AND my Christmas. THANK YOU!

This place is great. I had hired someone to replace a valve for me, it involved cutting into wall and +$1k labor. Came in to pick up a part, chatting with folks there they were able to diagnose my issue and told me how to fix without cutting through wall. Ended up only needing a $60 part replaced. Will definitely come back when we do work on our house.

I had a very unpleasant interaction with the store manager, Aubrey Hunter, who was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily curt. I was made to feel like a nuisance, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. This experience alone would make me hesitant to return. If I were the owner of this business I would be very embarrassed by that behavior and want to know.
