I called Roto-Rooter for what I thought was a clogged sewer line . Their serviceman, Paisiy, was at my door just a little over an hour later. He diagnosed 2 separate problems and promptly took care of them. He explained what had happened in detail and offered a lot of information about preventive measures we can take in the future. He was a pleasure to have in the house dealing with my problems. Definitely ask for him when you call Roto-Rooter as I also recommend you do.

Mark and Mag saved the day on a Sunday after waking up to the toilet not flushing well. They arrived just an hour after calling and had all the tools needed to get the job done and stuck it out in the cold rainy messy weather trying to clear an clog at my septic tank issues

We were having a dinner party at 6pm. My husband cleaned crab in the sink. He threw the exoskeleton in a trash bag but decided to run the disposal for the gills. Needless to say. We had a problem with a clog. We improvised and had a picnic Christmas dinner low country boil. We got finished with the cracking of crab, and our technician arrived while we went to the dining room for dessert. All’s well that ends well. Thank you so much for staying late to help us out.

Maq Ali was very knowledgeable and helpful and about our pipeline issues. He was able to fix the problem in a short amount of time. Highly recommend

This is a home built in 1890, I just moved in a couple of days ago, not even unpacked and the drain was plugged. I was thinking it was a root ball. It was and Logan was great to work out the water and other questionable stuff in the lower laundry room. The root ball will Need Marks touch, a new clean out and removing the roots. This home has been an Airbnb for the past two years, people don’t care about what goes down the drains. I’m a happy person and the rest will get taken care of soon.

Service was quick and friendly. They came very quickly. They found the issue (large amount of roots) 75-100’ out on my sewer line. The price feels a bit steep for a sewer / drain clearing.

Travis was professional and easy to talk to. I told him we have limited time because I had to go get my kids from school and he was quick and efficient so that I could do that in time. I appreciate his flexibility.

Travis S. Thank you so much!
You were quick, knowledgeable, (told me things i didn't know about my pipes) and didn't leave a mess to clean up. Haven't needed a plumper in years, but was very happy with the service I received. I thought the price was high but then again, i had another quote that was Much higher. So I am satisfied that Travis S. Provided a great service (unplugged my kitchen sink because it was backing up in my laundry tub) at a very reasonable price. Thanks again to the scheduler and the quick response time. I highly recommend Travis S and this team. -
I would like to thank Roto Rooter for sending 2 of the most professional guys to work on my drain problem. Both Travis and Mark took the time to explain every step they took to figure out the problem. They showed me what looked like a bird's nest in several places in the pipes. They were roots and Travis worked hard to eradicate the immediate problem, and we were once again able to run water without it backing up in the basement. Although a small section of pipe needed to be replaced, we were grateful that it wasn't worse. Thank you both for your excellent service. If it ever happens again, I want both of these guys back to work on my pipes.

Roto-Rooter was top notch all the way through. From fast response time (about an hour) to quality of service onsite, we were pleased with the results. We had an exterior gutter drain that had clogged and needed service. Well worth it!

Both Maq and Mark provided excellent service, explained things in great detail, went over the job tasks, and the contract terms and conditions. I am confident in their work, the bid, and the overall project.

Maq was great. He was a fast worker, thoroughly answered our questions and helped clear the drain. There was some investigating to do and we were informed at all steps of what was happening. We hope it the future we have Maq on call for our house.

I've used Roto-Rooter in the past and called them again when I expected roots in our sewer line. It was a quick phone call to set up an appointment. The tech arrived in the expected window, explained the process, and took care of the roots quickly.

Maq saved us on a Saturday night by unclogging a 50 foot sludge nightmare. We are incredibly grateful! We received such wonderful service and cannot recommend Roto-Rooter enough!

I have never been more disappointed in a service company than I am with Roto-Rooter. What I experienced felt like one of the most outrageous examples of overcharging I’ve ever encountered as a homeowner.
After receiving my final invoice, I was shocked to see prices that were far above anything even remotely close to market value. Multiple independent professionals—including my insurance adjuster, my public adjuster, and other restoration companies—reviewed the line-by-line charges and immediately told me that the pricing was way beyond what they typically see. I was advised that the work done should have been no more than around $2,500, yet Roto-Rooter charged several times that.
To make things worse, the field technician - who is an expert in restoration of this kind, told me directly that the job was simple and would fall on the “lower end” of their usual $2,000–$7,000 range for kitchen claims. So imagine my shock when my invoice came back astronomically higher than what their own employee implied.
The asbestos sampling fees were another red flag. Local providers quoted me about $350 for the survey and $25 per sample, but Roto-Rooter charged $500 just for the sampling fee plus another $214.50 for three small pieces. Every other company I spoke with said these numbers were far outside of normal industry pricing.
The entire experience left me feeling taken advantage of during an already stressful situation. I don’t know if this is incompetence, lack of transparency, or something worse—but what I do know is that the pricing I received was absolutely unreasonable, and no homeowner deserves to be put in that position.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get multiple quotes, do your research, and protect yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone. -
The gentleman that came to our house was able to quickly address a very unpleasant problem. He was very professional, friendly, and cheerful. The problem was addressed quickly and painlessly. Highly recommended!
