Melton's is my go to HVAC company now. Brian came out and gave me a quote that was reasonable, fair, and thoroughly explained the differences between systems and recommended a product that was a good fit for me. Jimmy, Jason and Frank came out and did the installation. They had to rework some of the ducting so it did take an extra day but the installation turned out better than the way the found it. Highly recommended.

I am not sure that I have had the privilege of having a request for an upgrade done so quickly, so simply and so much as to my liking. Jimmy (the installer) brought three devices, explained them thoroughly, took our choice installed it in minutes and then explained just how the thermostat should work, how to set it up. Even though I was trying to find my wifi connection, he was patient. Melton's has taken such good care of our heating and cooling needs. And now we can add their service man, Jimmy to our list of likes about Meltons.

I'm proud that Oregon supports measures to improve energy efficiency in Oregon's homes and buildings, and three years ago my home's central air conditioner and heater was old from the previous owner, and falling apart. As a retiree, I wanted to have lower utility bills, so I decided to purchase an energy efficient ductless heat pump.
My review is about how convenient Home Depot made it to find a certified HVAC technician to pull the annual heat pump check-up and cleaning on my equipment. The team from Melton's Heating & Air Conditioning were extremely experienced, very thorough, friendly and fast. The cost from Melton's was a good value, and their work area was clean and tidy when finished. Having a certified technician from Melton's gives me peace of mind, great ROI, and supports the warranty on my investment. I will use Melton's again, and kudos to Home Depot for the referral.

We had a furnace and air conditioner installed on a very hot day. The 2 installers were Jimmy and Hayden. They were very professional, polite and friendly. They worked hard all day and were very conscientious about cleaning as they finished. Jimmy also had a few recommendations that resulted in improved airflow upstairs which had previously been an issue. Overall a great experience!

I wanted to have a good experience, since I used to know a family member of one of the owners. The technician that came out was tolerable (although he did squash a plant outside my house pretty badly). After the $149 service call to diagnose my problem, I was quoted $1,500 to fix the issue. I ended up going with a competitor, who fixed the issue in one visit, no extra service call, for $379. And they didn't squash my Lily.

My wife and I had furnace issues and no idea what to do to fix it.I called Melton's and the where there quickly.They replaced my furnace and AC unit and gave us a awesome price.We will never deal with another company again..

We've been customers of Melton's for about 20 years and they never disappoint. Melton's just replaced our furnace, heat pump, and thermostat. They also installed an Air Scrubber. Jimmy took his time in explaining the new equipment to us and how to use the new thermostat. We never felt rushed and he answered all our questions thoroughly. We will continue to be customers.

I would have given them a 5 but when I called they told me that they charge 159 dollars just to come out and take a look at the furnace. That being said, they were up front about it, it was just mildly irritating to me. But anyway, my furnace was showing an error Code and it wasn't one of the couple of things I felt comfortable doing on my own. There was a meltons sticker on my furnace since they had installed it originally. They arrived when they said they would, were professional, helpful and friendly. In the end the cost was very fair. I would call them again.

Yesterday I had an experience with Meltons Heating and Air (specifically Robert) that left me beyond impressed. In a regular maintaince appointment he took the time to explain how to care for, and get the most out of our system. I felt he took his time to do the job right and make sure we were truly happy with the service! I haven't experienced this level of customer services from a business in recent memory. My wife and I work full time, have a two year old son, and still felt compelled to call in to Meltons and leave this review to pass along our gratitude for Robert and Meltons. We are certainly long term customers now!

Recently had our nearly dead 55 year old furnace and 34 year old heat pump replaced with a high efficiency heat pump and air handler. Working with Brian and Colleen through the estimate and invoicing process was much simpler than I had thought it would be. Excellent and swift communication and very friendly . Honestly, this was a major hurdle to why we waited so long to replace our system; if I had known how easy it was, we'd have done it years ago. The day of the install, we met Jimmy and Frank. These guys are freaking awesome! Super friendly and very hard working! I can't believe they replaced our system in only one day! I am very grateful to the whole team at Melton's for making this such a positive experience for my family and I.

He guided us as a technician from identifying issues with our furnace and AC, fixing the issues we had throughout the year and as an equipment expert on our options to purchase new units. He was always honest and is extremely knowledgeable! He gave us realistic options that met our needs as well as improved quality. We needed to replace our 18 year old furnace, air conditioner, and whole house air cleaner. We have worked with Melton's in the past, in 2000, where they installed a Trane air conditioner in our previous home. After contacting them for a quote, they put me in touch with Randy Melton one of the owners. Randy came out, listened to us, made recommendations and worked with us on selecting the components we wanted and getting the best possible total system within our budget. The installation day, Michael and Keegan showed up on time and ready to work. I went out off and on to see how they were doing and they work together like a well oiled machine. Any rubbish they created was pretty much picked up before it hit the ground. The County came out to inspect their work and it passed inspection with flying colors. We are EXTREMELY pleased with our new system which included a new Ecobee smart thermostat with voice control (Alexa). Now if I can just get my husband to stop talking to her.

We recently had our furnace and air conditioner replaced by Melton’s. Not only were they the lowest bid, everyone has been extremely helpful and easy to work with.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have had them out three times (paid them for each visit) letting them know the issue and where it’s at. Tech today confirmed the issue is exactly where I pointed them to. Now trying to charge me $1500-2500 to do a leak test then telling me if it’s in the spot that we already know it’s leaking at it’s not repairable. Useless techs and still left me without heat for my family which includes a newborn.

I called Melton's because my 19-year old furnace that they installed had succumbed to the lightning storm of October 9th in Keizer.
Randy Melton came to the house and gave me some options, took photos and told me technicians would be out in 2 days to install a new unit.
The 2 techs showed up right on time and got me up and running again and now I am ready for winter!

I recently had my AC go down due to a worn out furnace fan. Melton's ordered the part right away and was very flexible to fit me in the next day when the part came in. I know they are busy this time of year but they went out of their way to get my unit running just in time for a visit with family from out of town. They saved the day! Great job Melton. and thanks to Brian, the technician, for fitting us into his busy schedule!

My home was built in the late 1950s and I needed to replace my aging furnace and I wanted to upgrade to have AC!

I shopped around Salem for two weeks getting quotes from several HVAC companies and the last one scheduled was Melton’s Heating & Air Conditioning Inc.

Not only did I get what I needed but I got what I wanted and the products Melton’s use are tried and true brands I recognized with good warranties AND Melton’s had the best quote.

Today, Jimmy and Frank showed up just after 8 AM and were here until roughly 6 PM. The old furnace was removed, the AC unit and the new furnace with all its required doodads for venting and such were installed. The electricians showed up mid morning to install the wiring and breakers. Later the old thermostat was replaced with a new thermostat. The thermostat was programmed and life is good! I should probably mention the furnace is under the house!

I think what sold me on Melton’s was the no nonsense visit where I was given the options along with the pros and cons and a recommendation for what would best serve my needs. I went with the recommendation. Why?, because (1) they are the experts and know the HVAC world, (2) they know what is going to work best to meet my wants & needs and (3) I received an awesome quote that beat everyone else! The cherry on top was the single day install.

BRIAN HUSS was my repair person for my furnace on a cold January day. Within about 15 minutes, he had diagnosed the issue (an igniter) and had it swapped out for a new one. BRIAN is super nice guy, polite, efficient, and a pleasure to talk to !
