We were very pleased with Salem Heating and Sheet Metal's professionalism, fair pricing, and attention to detail.

Steve was very thorough and professional in his estimate of our new air conditioning system. He took the extra time to explain everything very clearly and answer all of my questions. He was prompt in emailing the estimate to me that evening and answering a few follow-up questions.

Tom, Mike, and Brian? were very professional installers. They were careful and courteous, and I can't imagine a more professional group. They did an outstanding job installing our new system, and they even went above and beyond by replacing a screen to my crawlspace and offering to take some cardboard from my garage with them to be recycled. They even took the extra time to check the duct work in my attic to make sure it was connected properly.

I was not charged extra for the unexpected work the electrician had to do, nor did they charge me extra for fixing a duct in the crawlspace that had come loose. Salem Heating and Sheet Metal exceeded our expectations.

Andrew and assistants did a very professional job installing our new furnace and A/C. We have had Salem Heating and Sheet Metal perform maintenance over the past many years and have never been dissatisfied with their work.

We hired Salem Heating through Costco services to assess and install a new A/C. They scheduled someone right away to do the assessment and quote. They came in below other quotes we got for similar systems, they scheduled the install, came out on time and got it done without problems. We had one small glitch (I think our fault) which they fixed the morning after it was reported, again, very timely and professionally. We would use them again and will use them for maintenance.

Mike and Matt recently installed our air conditioner. They did a great job and they were very professional. This is the second time we have used Salem Heating and we are very confident with their work. Scott does a great job of assisting us in selecting the right unit for our needs and communicating accurate timeline details.

When my furnace starting having problems, they sent out a technician to look at it. We determined it wasn't worth fixing (the furnace was 30 years old). They came out and gave me an estimate for a new furnace and then came out to measure for the installation. The installers did a great job replacing the furnace , installed a new thermostat and two carbon monoxide detectors. Every person I dealt with was professional and came at the time specified. I would highly recommend Salem Heating to anyone needing heating or cooling work .

They installed a new A/C-Heating system to my existing home, and they were professional from beginning to end. From the estimate to the job completion every aspect was done with courtesy and expertise. It was a 2 day job and they showed up on time both days. When the installion was complete, the area was left clean and neat. Everything was explained to me, and they were very patient with all my questions. Every single employee of this company that worked on this job from the estimate to the install was a pleasure to work with!! I highly recommend them!!! And my new A/C-Heater works like a dream!!

When my wife & I decided to add air conditioning to our existing oil furnace heating system, our maintenance guy said there was only one place to go: Salem Heating. And how right he was. The team (Mike, Justin & Tim) showed up on time and were thorough, courteous and professional. They worked fast, but didn't cut corners.

Our experience with Salm Heating was outstanding. Starting with Scott which did up the proposal choosing the proper equipment for our home. Ed who did up the pre installation measurements, answering any questions we had. Finally Mark who installed the furnace and air conditioner, making sure all worked properly and cleared all the old equipment. Showed me how everything worked and answered any questions. We just had a new air conditioner and furnace installed by Salem Heating & Sheet Metal and we are very happy with the level of service they provided. Everyone was very professional and easy to work with. Scott who provided the bid and answered lots of questions, Ed who came out and took all the measurements for the new system and a HUGE shout out to Mike and Matt who did the removal of the old system and new install. They were very prompt, hard working and cleaned up everything at the end of each day. They even put floor runners down in the house and took off their boots when needed so they didn’t make a mess. And, they finished the install earlier than expected! Overall, the level of customer service has been excellent and we would definitely recommend this company to others. I replaced my heat pump and handler with a new Lennox system supplied by Costco, but completely handled by Salem Heating &Sheet Metal. From beginning to end everyone was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and respectful.
After the initial estimate, which was quite reasonable compared to others estimate I had received, Scott never failed to return my phone calls or answer my endless questions to my satisfaction.
I had to reschedule my first appointment with Ed due to an family emergency and he was great about rescheduling!
Mike, Matt and Ryan arrived on time on the day scheduled for installation. They were professional & courteous, and completed the task in a very timely manner. They arrived at 8 AM and were gone by 3 PM. It was obvious that Mike was extremely knowledgeable in his position as lead, and worked well with Matt and Ryan. All three men worked hard and efficiently and were very respectful of me, my space and my home. I was given careful instruction on how to use my system, along with the necessary paperwork. They cleaned up before they left leaving nothing behind except my new heat pump and handler. I am very pleased with the service I received, and would highly recommend these folks. Salem heating installed our Lennox furnace and AC when we built our house 26 years ago. When we decided to replace them with more energy efficient units, we wanted Salem Heating to do the work. Our installers were Randy and Brady. They are professional and very knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and walked us through the programming of the thermostat.

We had a great experience and would recommend Salem Heating and Sheet Metal to anyone needing heating and air conditioning service.

This is the second time I have had Salem Heating & Sheet Metal install a central AC (one about 6 years ago). I would recommend them to anyone and the price was fair!
I had a quote from another guy from Portland who wanted almost twice as much to install the same unit (I knew his price was outrageous, even if it was though Costco), that’s why I called Salem Heating & SM. I remembered feeling good with my experience the last time.

Andrew and O’shey were great during the instal. We had Scott for the quote and Ed came to take measurements. They were on time, friendly and professional. They reviewed all the work and with us when done.
The whole process was smooth and communication/scheduling was straightforward.

We had a wonderful experience with Salem Heating. Our job in January 2024 included new Lenox heat pumps, furnaces and some minor changes to original design. I received 3 comparable bids for the project. I received a timely and competitive quote and project proposal I want to thank Scott for his work with estimate and design. Ed for his pre project work with measurements. And Andrew (on-site Lead) and all his Tech’s were fantasic across the 2 weeks we had them in our home. Andrew was back yesterday to do some final testing and everything is operating perfectly.

When the estimator, Scott, came out to give me a bid he was very professional and knowledgable. He got back to me promptly with
a competitive price. The only bummer was having to wait a few months for the installation because there was a global shortage of equipment; no doubt due to the pandemic. However, when Scott did receive the 3 Mitsubishi mini-split units they were installed within a week.
The installers, Justin and Tim, were so nice and efficient!! I'm real low-tech and they were very patient with me as I tried to grasp the high-tech remote, with all of it's options.
I'm immensely pleased with the service I received from Salem Heating & Sheet Metal. I would recommend them in a heart beat.
Oh, and I like the Mitsubishi product, as well.

We called other AC repair companies to repair our central air during 100+ degree weather. The earliest appointment we could get was 2 weeks out (not helpful since we both work from home). On a friend's recommendation, we called Salem Heating on a Sunday. Within 10 minutes, a technician (Rick) returned our call. He was polite, professional and more importantly, clear and upfront about pricing. He arrived about 20 minutes later and had our unit fixed within an hour. During that time, he also offered some helpful tips. The end result? AC fixed, fair price paid. Would absolutely recommend them.

I had Andrew and Darren do the annual maintenance on my furnace and air conditioner. They did an excellent job. I have dealt with Salem Heating for over 14 years and highly recommended them.
