I texted the company on a Friday night. They contacted me later that night. There was a 9am appointment with Russell. He was ontime and ran out to get a new motor. He was professional and hard working. Thank you so much! Will be using them again for seasonal tune ups as well.

This is a company that will install a humidifier in exchange for money. They will also explain to you that it is normal for a humidifier to be unable to maintain humidity (unless you set it at the same humidity as the world). Which is great because that way, you can feel better a product that doesn't really work.
If you go with these guys, recognize that they do not take responsibility for the performance of what is installed. Only that they were successful in getting it in. -
Justin was very professional and was able to identify the issue with my furnace very quickly. He returned the next day as promised with the needed part and completed the work in a timely manner. All work was done with a fair price. I recommend this company and Justin for any of your HVAC needs.

When I first started exploring my options for installing a standby generator that would power my whole house including my central AC, Energy Star Services was the first company to PROMPTLY respond to a random internet request for a quote. Josh Layton came to my home, inspected my layout and answered all my questions with an obvious knowledge of his product line. The quote he provided to me that day was for a fully installed product and included all fees, taxes, etc; there were no hidden costs "to be determined".
After chasing after two other suppliers for comparable quotes for more than one month, I realized that the one provided by Josh was very reasonable and he offered multiple financing options, with no additional costs attached. When I called ESSI back to make arrangements to have the install done, I was very pleasantly surprised that they were able to get it done within three days. Rob and his crew showed up at the scheduled time and worked all day, oftentimes dodging raindrops, and got the job completed to my total satisfaction. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with and I am now a very happy fully-automatic standby generator owner and have total peace of mind knowing that when the power goes out again and I'm not around to plug in my gas-powered portable generator , that my wife won't be making her panicked phone call alerting me that I need to get home soon to get the power restored. After seeing all the work involved, I was glad I decided not to purchase a unit on-line and do the install myself.
Another big PLUS is that this Cummins unit is so quiet and my neighbors won't be wondering when the power will come back on so that the neighborhood can return to its quiet state - they'll be hearing others, but not mine. -
My experience with Energy Star Services was very positive. Their service was efficient and affordable. Josh and his team were very professional and a pleasure to work with from the start of the job to the end. I highly recommend this company for all of your HVAC needs.

Five stars for installers Brandon and Ryan. They arrived in a timely manner and completed the assignment in workmanlike fashion. They cleaned up up when the job was done, carted away all the old gear, and were very personable. The equipment installed is very quiet and makes my house cold. That's what I asked for. It's too soon to address the durability of the equipment, or the effect it will have on my utility bill, but so far, so good. If I need more utility work around here and Energy-Star gets the job, I hope they send these guys.
18 Month Update:
The representative from this company was the most knowledgeable, offered the most credible pricing, was able to match my schedule, and offered the best customer service. I interviewed four companies. Their technicians installed the equipment, replacement a/c components as well as replacement whole-house humidifier, as scheduled, in a timely and workman-like manner. They corrected installation errors made by an installer from another company who several years earlier had replaced my furnace. Their correction eliminated a few significant air leaks in my venting, thus making my overall system more efficient. On installing the new a/c equipment to my existing furnace, their installer cracked the furnace’s condensate collector. Now cracked, the collector now allows condensate to leak into my furnace and rust internal components. Their tech acknowledged their having damaged the part, explained that it is an inexpensive item to replace, that they were responsible and they would secure and install the replacement part. They never did. We have had several conversations on the matter, and I have given up. Included with my contract was a replacement humidifier with a top tier humidistat. The new humidifier works well. The new humidistat stopped working after a few weeks and their tech on examining same stated the piece was broken and he would secure a new one and install same. Unable to secure one of the same grade, I received a bottom-tier replacement as a temporary measure until the correct automated replacement could be obtained and installed. That never happened. We’ve had several conversations regarding the condensate collector as well as the humidistat. In sum, the quality of the work is good, and the prices are fair. There is no attempt at up-selling, and there is no pressure in the contract negotiation. However, when they are done, they are really done, so adjust your expectations accordingly and you may well be satisfied. They are good, but they aren’t as good as they say they are. -
The company initially appeared responsive but at the time of service call did not follow the necessary procedures but left telling me they would follow up with the manufacturer for warranty service. I didn't hear back from Energy Star and called them repeatedly only to get the run around. Finally I contacted the manufacturer only to find out that Enery Star never even followed up for claim. Just another big name company looking for easy home run jobs. They took my money and delivered on nothing.

Went through Home Advisor to have a new thermostat installed.. from start to finish everything was A+. I received timely calls and updates, the technician Justin was great, extremely professional, gave me my options and pricing, then quickly did the job.. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact Energy-Star again and have Justin do any work needed.. He loves what he does and you can tell. Thank You

Steven Yam was great. Came in and fixed my AC. Everything is running smoothly. Steven was very friendly and very profession. Would definitely use Energy Star Services again.
UPDATE: Had a very negative experience with Engery-Star Services, unrelated to Steven. In July 2020 ESSI came to fix our AC. We were informed that we needed to install a hard-starter kit and new capacitor. We paid $540 for the fix, would have been upwards of $700 but we paid $270 for their yearly service membership and got a discount.
Less than 60 days later we started experiencing the same issue with our AC. We called to have someone come out, but were told we would still need to pay the $58 service call fee (this would only be removed if we agreed to renew our yearly membership fee of $270 which expired on 8/1) and that the hard-starter and capacitor that was installed in July only had a 30 day warranty and that these parts can often fail (none of which was disclosed to us when we got it installed).
Basically $540 down the drain. Beware. -
Thank you EnergyStar... Josh and Robert for the great work. These guys installed our new A/C unit with duct/vent installation and did a great job. My husband who is a very good handyman even said that he’s never seen such detailed work. The guys were quick, yet thorough and very professional and left our place spotless before they left each day (like they weren’t even there). They made us feel confident in our A/C company choice and we would recommend them to anyone!!
Ps.
I'm a very picky person when it comes to the quality of work being done in my home. -
I am thoroughly impressed. First, I called Energy-Star Services Inc (ESSI) to get an estimate for a new furnace and AC unit. Doug, the Home Care Advisor, scheduled to come out at my earliest convenience. He was knowledgeable, listened carefully, and was very helpful in determining what was needed. He drew up a very reasonable estimate on the spot (I had received other estimates that were much higher). And to my surprise, he said ESSI would able to do the installation the very next day.
Next, Brandon and Ryan arrived promptly the next day. They were extremely professional and very efficient (the job was finished within a few hours). They were clearly well-informed about the equipment they had installed and answered all of my questions.
Finally, everyone (the office person handling the initial scheduling and billing, Doug, Brandon, and Ryan) were very friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend ESSI to anyone considering heater/AC replacements. -
Matt and the Energy Star Service team were very efficient and prompt. I called them today on a 90 degree + day and within hours they were out to assess and fix the problem. From the first phone call to schedule a service call to the completion of the day, everyone was so nice and very professional and explained everything to me in detail. Thank you for a great experience. I will definitely continue using Energy Star Services in the future.

This company is the best in the industry. Professional, competitive and competent. While I have been doing business them for over 10 years, and all of the team provides great service, on this occasion, the team of Brandon and Ryan were top tier installing a new Energy Star furnace. I would recommend this company for all HVAC needs, repair, replacement and new construction. Thanks as well to Josh and Cindy for prompt response.

Do NOT use this company. I called to have someone come take a look at my furnace, as the heat wasn't working. The first service tech told me my igniter needed to be replaced for a few hundred dollars. He also suggested that I replace the entire unit because it appeared to be from 2000 or 2007. This would cost closer to $9,000, and I said I would take it into advisement but I wanted to work on the immediate solution. After he left, a Google search and the unit serial number confirmed that the unit was from 2020 (when I was told the system was replaced by the previous owner). Two days later a different service tech came out, seemingly with no prior knowledge of what I had been told. I believed he was going to replace the igniter, but he said he needed to take a second look at things. This time, I was told that the circuit board wasn't working. This part would need to be ordered and someone would call me when it came in to schedule install. I followed up multiple times in the next week to get an update on progress. I first spoke with the operations manager Josh, who repeated that the part was on order. He also said that my system was not installed up to manufacturer specifications. Again, I requested to deal with the immediate fix. I called two more times later that week and was told that Josh was not available, but someone would give me a call back. A week and a half later, I have not heard from anyone. I had another company come out who quickly identified that the issue was with the exhaust pipe on my roof and they were able to resolve things that day and get my heat up and running. I only paid Energy Star Services about $60, and I regret every penny.

HVAC installers Josh and Bradley were professional, courteous knowledgeable and friendly. What I thought was going to be a very long installation process turned out to be fast and very efficient, the new unit works great! I would recommend Energy Star services to all my friends and family. 10/10!

Justin from Energy-Star Services was fantastic. At a time when I'm sure I'm one of hundreds calling about a heating system that I waited a bit too long to check on, Energy-Star was out within 24 hours to inspect and fully repair my system. He was courteous, and clearly skilled - it only took him a few minutes to discover the issue and repair it. Would highly recommend.

I am a first time home owner, and today was the first time I have experienced the need to have my heat repaired. The man that was sent, Justin, did an AMAZING job. He arrived within a reasonable amount of time, he got right to the point, and even drove out of his way to get the part needed for my repair so that he could fix it today rather than tomorrow. I also loved that he had booties to cover his shoes before he walked through the house. He was extremely considerate and sweet. I am definitely calling on this company again in the future!

Energy-Star Services, Inc. installed our Ductless AC unit and we're super excited to use it. Let me first begin with the sales associate, Tom Foy, he was very personable and knowledgeable about the system he was selling us and provided us with excellent customer service beyond the installation. Artie, the Ofc Mngr, also provided excellent customer service when it came to scheduling the installation of our unit and was very friendly. The technicians, Brandon, Dave and Josh were very professional while performing the installation. They cleaned as they went along inside and outside the house and showed us how to work the units. We couldn't be more happier with the choice that we made with Energy-Star. It's hard to find great customer service regardless of the amount of money that you're spending and Energy-Star gave us just that.
