Great people. Friendly, highly competent, fair pricing and highly efficient. Had Marlon over to help with install of a Level 2 charger and an outdoor security camera. He was outstanding and went above and beyond. Aside from being super competent and expert at his job (it’s important to go with licensed electricians), it was the little things that impressed me a lot. Marlon needed to remove an existing garden hose rack/ spooling device to install the Level 2 charger for my car. After he was done getting the charger installed, he reinstalled the hose rack a different spot nearby. He also installed the optional storage latch that the Level 2 charger came with, which is used to secure the charging cable secure to a wall when not in use. I didn’t have to ask him to do those things, he just did them. Marlon was also cool with my dog. In any case, if you’re looking for expert help with any kind of electrical issues, I’d recommend The Electric Company without hesitation.

We received prompt scheduling of a visit for an estimate of work to be done and a thorough explanation of the job. Our estimate was sent by email soon after the visit. We recently had CW Electrical Services Inc. for our electrical panel work, and we couldn't be more satisfied with the service. We hired CW Electrical Services to replace a badly rusted master circuit breaker panel on our six-unit apartment building, and their customer service was outstanding from beginning to end.

Initially we worked with several different contractors who were willing to provide estimates, but over the course of a month or so, the scope of the project grew to include remediating some dangerous exposed wires and adding a new 200A service to support EV charging in our two garage buildings. We were very lucky to have Chris Walton (the company owner) doing the estimating because he enthusiastically embraced our project through all of its many twists and turns. He gave us some great advice on creating an infrastructure to support EV charging for six vehicles, and provided timely updated cost estimates for each new design we considered. In the end, Chris’ commitment and extremely competitive pricing made our choice of contractor very simple.

Our lead electrician was Jay (Jason) Opalsky, and he and his crew did an amazing job of limiting adverse impacts on our residents, two of whom work from home. By starting at 7:00 AM and finishing at 4:30 PM on the first day, Jay managed to limit our building-wide power outage to a single day, which included removing the old panel, running a new 200A main line, and installing a new master circuit breaker, a new riser and weatherhead, eight meter bases and circuit breakers, and a new subpanel! Jay also came up with clever solutions to two very challenging aspects of our project.

- The original design would have required us to dig a trench through our garage foundations and the paving in our rear patio area, but Jay found a way to run the new lines between the garage buildings through an overhead conduit. This eliminated a lot of risk, both in terms of potential damage to our buildings and vehicles, and to the health and safety of the crew.

- The original plan to remediate some exposed, unprotected power lines running from our main building to our two garage buildings was to dig new trenches and install new conduits, but Jay realized that power could instead be supplied to the garages through the same new conduit being used to carry the new EV charging lines, which saved considerable time and effort, and resulted in a much safer and more reliable system.

To summarize, the quality of the advice, customer service, equipment, and workmanship provided by CW Electrical Services was outstanding, and we’re absolutely delighted with the results! This was a fairly large and complex project spanning a total of five days, and we would highly recommend CW Electrical Services.
