Rick was able to identify the key areas to repair and everything was explained thoroughly and expectations clearly set prior to starting work. I had a great experience with Baby Bird electric last fall. We have a small, older house that has had small renovations over the decades. We wanted to replace some old light fixtures with new ones that would add to the efficiency and comfort of our home.

Rick, the electrician, had an immediate appreciation for our house and made preserving its old-fashioned workmanship a top priority. He made specific recommendations on what we should do to add fixtures while preserving things like our plaster ceiling and woodwork.

I was so grateful for Rick’s advice, positive attitude and hard work, as well as the excellent communication from Steph at their office. I’ll definitely turn to Baby Bird electric next time I need this kind of help!

This is not the first time I have used Baby Bird and I will be calling them again when we move to our new house in a few weeks! When the inspection report came back for our current house indicating that we needed to have an outlet fixed, I didn’t even need to think about which electrician I would call. They came out the next day and fixed the issue immediately. And while I was talking about moving out I mentioned that we needed to get our sump pump fixed. Rick didn’t miss a beat offering to take a look at it for us. I had no idea that the problem was as simple as it just needing to be plugged in. Baby bird saved us so much time and money because now we don’t need to hire a plumber. Baby Bird is the most honest and reliable company I have ever worked with and I look forward to using them again for our new house. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

BabyBird was the only one of nearly 5 electricians I called that actually gave me a call back! I spoke with Steph about installing a new 220v outlet and the possibility of needing an entirely new panel. When Rick, the electrician, arrived to the condo, my tenant was very impressed with how kind and thorough he was. I am so impressed with their follow-up and follow-through, all while being so nice and customer-focused. I am VERY impressed and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the Pittsburgh area.

Baby Bird Electric did a lot of electrical work at our office. Rick and his team were extremely responsive and helpful throught the process. Stephanie at the main office always picks up the phone and gets us scheduled right away. We were very happy with the job they did. They will be my first call with any electrical installations or repairs going forward. I highly recommend this company.

I received pricing from multiple contractors to upgrade my electrical panel. All were competitive but I chose baby bird on cost and because they included their certificate of insurance with their bid. Very friendly and easy to work with. They were concise on what they were going to do and I never got the impression that there were hidden costs anywhere. (that i got the impression from other contractors).

They showed up as expected and were thoughtful and entertaining, Paul was a really great and knowledgeable electrician. They cleaned up after themselves and I couldn’t be happier with their work. When I have additional needs for an electrician there is no doubt I will return to baby bird!

I had some home renovations underway when we discovered some old Knob and Tube that was never removed from the home. since the floor was exposed, now was the time to take care of it. I contacted several electricians but they were unable to come out with in the next week or so. Baby Bird was the only one that could help me in a reasonable amount of time such that our contractor did not fall behind on the renovations. Rick was extremely pleasant to work with. You can tell he cares about his reputation and making sure he does quality work.
While Rick was working he incidentally discovered an issue with our main service line and brought it to my attention. It was not causing any issues now, but it could have in the future. He quoted me for the repairs and we scheduled that for a later date. Rick was able to replace the service line quickly with minimal downtime to the home.
My only issue was after the Knob and Tube was removed, I noticed that some outlets that were supposed to be working were not... My background is electrical technology so I was able to quickly diagnose that they made a mistake while doing the work. I contacted them on Sunday and explained the situation. I was somewhat agitated because this was a really really basic error (this is the reason I cannot give 5 stars). To my surprise Rick was back at my house within 2 hours to correct the problem. This could have easily waited until Monday, but Rick felt very strongly this error should be corrected ASAP because it should have never happened. I really appreciate that dedication and for that reason alone I would absolutely recommend these guys for any of your electrical needs.

Had a new outlet added and a light fixture replaced with a ceiling fan. They were easy to contact and was able to get service date fairly quickly. All communication was done via text. The crew that came to do the install was on time and very polite and professional. They did excellent work exactly as requested. Would use again and recommend to anyone.

Rick and David have been out here multiple times to do various things including complicated things that took the three of us working together for a while such as an electric window opener. They are always very professional and do an excellent job. I will definitely call them back if I need any more electrical work done.

A great experience from my initial communication to the completed project. The team was upfront in their plans, did a wonderful job, and left all of the spaces in our house clean. We plan on having them back for more projects!

Stephanie set the appointment with a window between 8/9a..Eric and Alex showed up at 8:00 and professionally introduced themselves...we briefly spoke about the scope of work scheduled (hanging outdoor lighting on house) and they were on their way to getting it done. Finished ON TIME and also did some consulting on other jobs I would like to have done in the future. They exceeded my expectations of professionalism, quality of work and budget. I WILL have them come back to do the additional work I need done around my home.

We recently hired Baby Bird for a substantial service upgrade in our home and could not be happier with the results! Steph gave us a fair quote for the job with a quick turnaround time. He coordinated everything with Duquesne Light/inspection promptly after the job was completed to satisfactory standards. Baby Bird Electric was great! They diagnosed the issues we were having. Identified ones we weren't aware of. They were prompt and attentive. Very respectful of my home. I think they left it cleaner than when they showed up. I highly recommend.

Baby Bird Electric is terrific family owned business! They have done everything for us from minor repairs and installations all the way up to full panel and subpanel replacements. Rick and his crew replaced our panels in about a half a day while coordinating efforts with both our service provider and code inspector. During the code inspection, the inspector advised me unsolicited that "your electrician did an excellent job". We have an older home and Rick and his team have always been there to provide excellent service at very fair pricing. You never have to worry if you are getting great service or more importantly getting ripped off- not with Baby Bird. Rick and his crew are efficient, friendly and will be respectful of your time (and wallet). I will never call another company for electric service and i recommend them to anyone who asks.

Had a breaker box replacement done by Baby Bird recently. It was a great experience from start to finish. Stephanie was responsive and provided a quote quickly. Rick and David installed the breaker box - they arrived on time, were respectful of our space, cleaned up after themselves, and the end product looked great. Price was reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

I have had problems with my HVAC for sometime. I have had a variety of companies here to service my unit, with basically, poor results. I read one of the reviews for Baby Bird Electric. All of the reviews were 5 Star. I thought, what could I lose. I called! The owner, the workers, were all marvelous individuals, and they absolutely knew what they were doing. They consistently answer all of my questions and offer fair pricing. I trust them with both my home and rental property. During their recent visit, they not only resolved the electrical issue that was affecting my refrigerator but also offered to sweep the floor before I put the refrigerator back in place.
