very professional and polite. The crew went over and above to explain everything about the new furnace. The second time I used them was for a minor repair and I did think the price was a little high for what the repair was. But I know everything has gone up. Still, the service and the professionalism and the politeness was still the same and was wonderful. Highly recommend!

No one likes to hear their water heater is broken. Especially on a holiday weekend. R Davis Mechanical came right out assessed the situation and had a new heater installed in less than 1 hour. Fantastic service at such an inconvenient weekend. Well done!

I hate another big plumbing company tell me my furnace needed to be replaced and nothing was covered under warranty. R. Davis Mechanical came out right away and fixed it for $500 under warranty. I can't express how grateful I am! They are honest, hardworking, and the actual owner picks up the phone. A rarity nowadays.

Highly professional! Rob has a great team!

I can’t say enough good things about what a wonderful job the guys from R Davis Mechanical did on replacing ALL the mechanicals in my condo. Mike, the plumber, installed a new wall-mounted water heater and Noah, the HVAC installer, installed the new furnace and A/C unit. Both did a stellar job on their individual installations.

The new water heater provides a lot more space in the laundry room. The space is small to begin with and the design is a poor design, so the mechanicals were cramped. The original water heater would have needed to be drained, removed, and replaced just so they could replace the furnace and A/C unit not to mention future service. I opted to have the wall-mounted unit installed to alleviate this necessity. It will save me money in the long run.

I can already tell the difference with the new furnace. It is much warmer in my condo than it was before now that the furnace is no longer pooling water where water shouldn’t be.

Noah is a very young man and a very knowledgeable one for so young a person. He was very meticulous and thorough. He made sure everything was working before he left.

Both Mike and Noah made sure everything was working and cleaned up before they left. I was very pleased with their work ethic and results.

Hands down the easiest and most pleasant experience with any home repair I’ve experienced. High quality work with impressive professionalism. Had a horrible leak in our basement from a water main break leaving us without water. On top of that we found an additional leak while waiting for them to arrive. I expected the possibilities of being without water for a few days. Not only did he get us back up and running , but these folks truly own their craft. I was impressed every step of the way. They could have easily dragged out the job. Instead the tech worked late to restore our water with the highest quality customer service. I certainly know this household will be life long customers for our needs.

I had a mold remediation done and had to have a sump pump installed. The guys from R Davis were called in to remove and reinstall my water heater and furnace. They did a fantastic job. They kept me in the loop with everything they were doing throughout the entire project. When they went to reinstall my furnace it wouldn’t fire up. Turned out it was just a fuse. However, they went above and beyond not only find the specific issue, but they stayed until it was resolved and everything was back and running smoothly. 100% would recommend them for anything and will call them again with any issues I have in the future.

Almost burned our house down. We had a baseboard heater that was working fine last year but had issues this fall. Would not turn on until you put it to max heat and it had low output. Instead of troubleshooting it, they decided to replace the unit because they determined it was a 220v appliance installed using a 110v line. Despite being a 220 unit working fine for years prior to this fall, they felt it was the voltage mismatch that was causing the problem (thermostat was the real issue most likely).

They then installed a weaker 110v baseboard to heat an un-insulated attic space that i use for sleeping. They did not bother to check the voltage of the line, only ASSUMED the voltage based off the gauge and color of the wire used, which, if you are a real electrician (these guys are not) is an insane thing to do. You always check the voltage. If the wrong device is used, it could burn out before the breaker would cut power to it. Less than two days later while my family and I were sleeping, the baseboard arced, the aluminum filaments popped, and started a fire to the carpet.

During the diagnosis the next day, the owner of R Davis vociferously denied any culpability. While testing the breakers, we found that the baseboard heater in the attic was actually ran from a 220 line that was originally intended for a baseboard heater in our bathroom and that practice was not up to code. He also insisted that there's "no way they could have known that it was a jumped line from the bathroom without doing a trace" (true but irrelevant). He first blamed the product for being defective, and then blamed whoever previously wired the house in this fashion.

After doing some research and talking to a real electrician (for the record, i am not familiar with electrical work), as long as the appliances are 220, you can attach more than one of them to the correct breaker, it's just that the odds of tripping the breaker are greater if too much power is drawn at once. Anybody and their mother can go to the hardware store and buy the black wire that is usually used for 110 but for a 220 appliance, and that is common practice because the black wire is cheaper. It may not have been best practice, but nothing they did was out of code. It was misleading to R Davis BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T CHECK THE VOLTAGE.

It would have taken 3 seconds with a voltmeter to do that. Sheer laziness! it took us 5 minutes to process-of-elimination the breakers and find out which breaker (and more importantly which type) was being used for the line in question. 5 minutes they could not be bothered with versus starting a fire in our house? Seems like an easy decision for me, but not R Davis.

On top of this, the owner was incredibly rude and personally insulting to us. When he came to diagnose the issue, I asked him to take his shoes off before he went upstairs. This is a simple request, but he bristled at it because he had shoe covers on that I didn't see since my hallway was dark. Instead of just pointing them out, he threatened to leave and not look at the damage, and called our place a "pigsty, but [we're] worrying about his new shoe covers". Incredibly defensive and weird behavior. He is also a very arrogant and proud individual in regards to his electrical work; traits which are unwarranted in his case. I don't want someone doing this kind of work if he thinks he knows everything and refuses to see gaps in his own knowledge; a recipe for disaster in a field which has a life or death impact such as electrical wiring.

Showed zero empathy towards us and our situation and no remorse for endangering our newborn son. I see the bad reviews on here are from tenants who live in domiciles he is doing work for (as was the case here). It seems that R Davis does not treat you with respect if you are not the one forking over money to him. He has argued with a negative reviewer on here calling them crazy. I am interested to see what he fabricates in order to deflect from his carelessness which has endangered my family.

The team at R. Davis were excellent! The owner and his team were very kind and courteous. The response time was very fast. They installed a new furnace during the below zero temperatures that we recently experienced. Everything was cleaned when they finished. I could not have asked for better service. I have recommended them to my friends and will use them again. Thanks again guys. You were great!

Unfortunately, I have to give 1 star here. This company was contracted to do the HVAC system in a house I flipped and things were not done properly. Initially, a few things needed to be fixed and they did come back out. The issues with the vents protruding from the wall, I was told that drywall folks need to just deal with it. But now, another HVAC company took a look and the furnace was installed backwards. I opted not to have this company fix it since when i called about the other issues initially it was a back and forth over it. All I asked was to be reimbursed because not only was the furnace installed incorrectly but it ruined the entire wall since water was dripping from the furnace and caused a big mess. Who would want someone to come back after their were initial issues and the fact that the system was installed in reverse and had to be taken apart and put back properly! I have the video of it and the receipts so....

The owner is refusing to just reimburse and own the mistake. I am now stuck with have an entire wall being redone in addition to the furnace having to be fixed.

The owner's attitude is not very nice or professional at all. It's sad that things can't be worked out without an attitude. He also had the nerve to say anyone can take videos of a furnace, as if it were made up!! Who says something like this to a paying customer!! Disgusted!!! Run from this company! There were other issues as well. And I don't like saying bad things about any company but this was really bad in addition to the other issues that happened.

Very poor customer service. It's one thing to be nice when things are going well. It's another thing if a customer calls and how one acts when things go awry. The attitude and demeanor is terrible. Never, ever again!

Very happy with the team from R. Davis Mechanical. They were fast, friendly and professional. The techs that did the installation communicated throughout the attempted repairs, and ultimately, the installation of a new furnace. I'd hire them again!

Absolutely recommend! Our experience with Rob was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through all of our options, helping us choose the most cost-effective solution. The price was very reasonable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. We’ll definitely be hiring him again for any future needs.

A+ all the way - A pleasure to do business with. Rob explained all my options and offered recommendations but was not pushy. Items were then ordered and installed by his team in no time. Honest, Reliable and Competitive All service related businesses should strive to be like R. Davis Mechanical. Will use them for my future HVAC needs and recommend them to all.

Our heat quit on Thanksgiving, and we were panicking. We called R Davis Mechanical and they got us on the schedule first thing the next morning. Jeff, our technician, showed up right on time, was super friendly, and even remounted our thermostat because it wasn’t staying in the wall even though that wasn’t the issue. He helped us save some money and, thankfully, we have heat again! Highly recommend.

Great service! Rob was very attentive and helpful in getting my job done quickly. Mike Frady did a wonderful job. He was patient and good natured. He put in a lot of hours and stayed cheerful and friendly. Thank you all so much!

Old Boiler was shut done due to leaking carbon monoxide in the house, after the chimney collapsed blocking the boiler from venting.

R.Davis Mechanical was hired to install a new boiler that wanted a different route.

Temps were cold under 15 degrees. R. Davis and his crew spent to days completing the Emergency Install of the new boiler.

They tried very hard to complete the job the same day spending 11.5 hrs before he wrapped up.

He came early the next day and finished the job, he helped us out and was very professional.

    Would definitely recommend R.Davis Mechanical.

Very happy with my experience with R. Davis Mechanical. Rob and his staff were great to work with. They came out to confirm the heat exchanger in my furnace was cracked and received a reasonable quote for a new furnace install. The furnace was installed within 2 weeks of their first visit.

R Davis Mechanical just installed a brand new furnace to replace our 60 yr old one that had finally broken.
The installer Anthony was great polite friendly & did a great job trying to get our heat restored as fast as possible. Highly recommended great service.

Nothing but positive experiences working with R. Davis Mechanical. Our furnace went down on Sunday night and Tim was able to come out Monday afternoon and take care of us. Tim was kind and professional and pleasant to talk and work with. He was able to diagnose the problem right away, locate a part locally that he retrieved and returned to install. All told Tim had us up and running in an hour. Would definitely recommend.

Long story short. Thermostat died, different company found a crack in the heat exchanger so they red tagged it and gave us an estimated 1 week minimum turn around. These guys were able to come out the next day with a new furnace and replaced the thermostat. They were clean, precise, and efficient. Thank you, Josh and Tim. Great work.

    R. Davis Mechanical LLC was excellent to work with. Rob always showed up when scheduled, got back to me quickly when I had concerns/questions. I interviewed six other HVAC companies for my mini split/heat pump installation and Rob‘s pricing was fair. Work was excellent and the work crew was easy to work with, were friendly and considerate, had excellent clean up etiquette. I’ve already recommended this company to a few people - I would use them again.
