I needed a consult on moving a radiator. They called me right back and set up an appointment. Greg took his time, explained all the pipes involved and what it would entail. He was honest, courteous and knowledgeable. Great company all around!

Admiral Heating and Cooling is a 5 star service company. They just installed a new furnace and air conditioner for me. They worked quickly and professionally. The job was done in no time. There was no mess or bother. When they were finished it was if they had never been there EXCEPT that I had a new furnace and air conditioner.

I had an issue in the middle of the night and Googled 24 hr repair and Admiral came back with the highest reviews, and now I know why! I got a call back within 20min(remember this is at 3am Saturday)and spoke with Brian. He gave me some advice over the phone and said he would call me later in the morning. He did just that. Came over around 8am and knew instantly what was wrong. Had me running in 5 minutes! He didn't collect a dime at the time and gave some options on what to do come Monday since we couldn't get a part until then. He followed up first thing Monday. Very fair pricing and truly exceptional customer service that's hard to find these days. Don't stress like I did in the wee hours worried about my family, these guys will take care of you!!

Had a really good experience 2 years ago when I called with an AC problem and left a positive review on yelp. However over the winter I called because my blower motor had burnt up over night. I was pretty sure the blower motor was the issue prior to calling, but I'm no pro. So after the tech diagnosed the blower motor was the problem he proceeded to give me a quote after acting as if this was a rare blower motor that he was going to have to drive across the country to get. After I asked for a parts and labor breakdown it was reviled to me that the blower motor cost was going to be $350, I had just priced them online for $100. this was a Friday after noon I called first thing in the morning and was not an emergency at all. $X- service call fine, $X-labor fine, $250 MARK UP ON A BLOWER MOTOR YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!!!! So I paid the service fee and sent him on his way. Being it was Friday I couldn't get the blower motor via mail order till Tuesday. So end of the day I was able to make some calls find a contractor that could get me the part very locally (like down the street, several in stock 3 if I remember correctly) for $150 and some change and install it myself in 10 min. Maybe it was just this tech thats trying to gouge customers, I'm not sure but I do not recommend them for this reason. I have a current issue and searching for a new contractor reminded me of this experience,

I called one evening and our service man, Pat, helped my husband try to fix the issue over phone but when that didn't work, he came the next morning to service the furnace. He was professional, friendly, informative and all around a great guy the whole time! He didn't get annoyed that I hadn't had it serviced in years and fixed the issue affordably. I will ONLY call Admiral in the future for all our HVAC needs.

Reliable, trustworthy, honest, friendly company. Highly recommend them. My a/c was going down fast....I called them last Tuesday or Wednesday they came out the same day to measure and put the new unit in this morning. And to top it off, they honored a quote they gave me from June 2015. Thank you Steve, Greg, and Dave (with a D) for making my house cool again. You guys are the best!!!

Our home is now 20 years old and in need of a new and improved HVAC unit. We chose Admiral to do the work. Scheduling was quick and easy, the installation was done by a team of professionals and the work area was left cleaner than when the installation was started. BTW, the cost was fair and reasonable.
My wife and I would recommend Admiral to anyone in need of HVAC needs. We are completely satisfied.

I was so pleased with this company after my experience with another well known heating and cooling company. Each person was courteous and the technicians were very professional. I had 2 Lennox furnaces installed on each side of a duplex on the same day. Their price was fantastic and I couldn't be happier with this company. They even had to move some things for me to get to the old furnace and they did it with a smile. I would highly recommend Admiral Heating anytime.

I can’t say enough good about this company! When I moved to Pittsburgh in 2007 and purchased my house I started immediately having furnace problems. I didn’t know who to call, so I saw a commercial on tv for a horrible deceptive company that begins with a “G”. They told me I had a carbon monoxide leak, and shut my furnace down. Someone told the to call Admiral Heating. They came in my house, there was no carbon monoxide leak, it was a 50.00 fix. Company “G” wanted to install a whole new furnace unnecessarily. Since then they have installed a new furnace and new air conditioning unit. Always fair prices. Anytime I call for service, they are there the same day! Highly recommended!!

Wouldn't call these lazy people if it was Sub-Zero weather and my furnace isn't working.
Employee in a very nice Chevy pickup with the tailgate with the step that comes down is too lazy to park in a parking spot at 8:00 plus this morning he parks at the gas pump right in front of the front door.
When in got his cigarettes Have To show These people are lazy and ignorant It should be more considerate to people who have bad legs and are handicapped and Parking right in front of the door and taken up a pump space Ignorant in this day and age -
Have done business with Admiral for over 15 years. Very professional, reliable and responsive. All service work performed on time. Installed new unit in about 4 - 5 hours. Prices are competitive. Highly recommend this company for install or service on existing units.

Great experience with Admiral. I used them for years to service my HVAC and they always call and show up ON TIME every time. I recently used them to upgrade my entire HVAC system and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. They were in and out, explained everything in detail, very professional, and no headaches. Top notch group and you can trust them!

We have been a customer of Admiral Heating and Cooling for over 20 years. They are very professional and knowledgeable about our residential and commercial heating and cooling needs. They have our best interest at heart. Repairing what they can and replacing equipment as needed. We thank them so much for their reliability 24/7...the hottest days and the coldest days of the year.

We have been loyal and very satisfied customers of Admiral Heating and Cooling for over 25 years. Service tech are courteous, friendly, and reliable. We can leave them to their job while we do other things in the house. Admiral Heating and Cooling provides seasonal maintenance that is convenient to my schedule not theirs. They are there when emergencies occur quickly and at reasonable costs. My husband and I feel comfortable with recommendations given by the techs when service is needed. Use Admiral Heating and Cooling you will be happy you did!

Admiral Heating & Cooling Co. has been handling my heating and air conditioning needs for close to 40 years. I would never trust anyone else. The service guys are great and go beyond what I would expect. They are very accommodating in emergency situations. Great company to trust and rely on for fair, expert work.

We have used Admiral Heating for years, and have recommended them to many people, all who have been very pleased. They have changed our boiler that was over 30 years old, and designed and engineered a system that uses our hot water from the new boiler (which is in the basement) which automatically pumps the hot water to our air handler which is in our attic, creating a forced air heating system, all controlled directly from the thermostat. The new system allows us to reduce the temperature in the house when traveling, and quickly heats the house, (using the forced air heat) as opposed to waiting several hours for the radiant heat system to warm the house. Couldn’t imagine a better solution! Outstanding and professional service from their entire team! They are truly the best contracting service we have ever dealt with!

We bought a house with two very old furnaces. The previous owner used Admiral. One of the furnaces didn't turn on so we called Admiral figuring they might have some background on our home and heating system.
We called in the morning and within three hours, Joe was at my door to take a look at the furnace. He diagnosed the problem in less than five minutes, ordered the part from our house, picked it up, and was on his way to get it. He was back and had the unit fixed by 2:30pm the same day.
I highly recommend Admiral and Joe specifically for their prompt service, friendliness, and knowledge. We'll give Admiral a call the next time we need help. -
Every service person from this company has been knowledgeable, professional and friendly . They came on an early Sunday morning on the hottest day of the year to fix my non-functioning AC and I will always be grateful for their quick service . I found Admiral several years ago when my furnace broke on a Friday night and I found that the company I had been using had no emergency service . Admiral came on a Saturday that time . They are reliable and that really matters to customers .

Overcharges for parts
For a next day service call, Brian was two hours late. He charged $98 for the visit and $456 for a combustion motor. It took him about fifteen minutes to install the motor, and my furnace was working again.
I’m not sad about the cost of the service call. He had to go get the part, drive to my home, and then install it. $98 seems about the right price for a winter service call.
However, looking up the price of this combustion motor on Amazon, I see it cost only $135 retail including shipping. I am sure that Brian doesn’t pay retail prices for furnace parts. He probably paid less than $100 for this part.
If he had marked that part up an additional $100 I would not be writing this review. He’s entitled to make money on parts. But marking up a $100 part by $356 is abusive.
The argument could be made that I would have had to wait for a part from Amazon to arrive. I live alone, and I would have spent a day in the cold for $356. But Brian told me he wouldn't install a customer supplied part. "Marking up parts is part of how I make my living."
On a fixed income, this markup hurts. I ran a service business for years, and wouldn’t have treated my customers this way. If you’re thinking of calling Admiral Heating, just be forewarned about their tactics.

Excellent HVAC Company and fast professional service. Admiral Heating and Cooling Company of Pittsburgh installed our new furnace, air conditioner, humidifier and air cleaner in less than a day. The quality of work was outstanding. The new system is working great. Just an overall great experience having Admiral replace our HVAC system. I will highly recommend them to my friends, neighbors and relatives.

I highly recommend this company. They provided a timely and fair estimate arrived on time and Introduced themselves. They were respectful and friendly. This a/c replacement was the best experience I have had with any maintenance. Thanks to Greg and Steve and the two installers. I will call you for my furnace when it quits. Thank you all,
