It's a WHOLESALE plumbing store: their customers are businesses and never (they do, yet ...) individual consumers, which hopefully explains why the short bald salesman played dumb when he claimed not to know what I meant by a spline as I'm pointing to it with the faucet knob in my hand (a "spline" is one of the A B C's of plumbing words).

I have been coming to this location for 10 years and have had nothing but great experiences. Always have everything I need and they are extremely professional.

I’m not sure what the issue was, whether it be race or just poor customer service but it was the worst experience I’ve encountered. He was not interested in helping me and told me to contact a plumber.Bad customer service.

If you're a plumber, A/C guy, etc.. this is your place. More than just one site for coastal plumbing. If I'm not mistaken they have 3 sites on Staten island. Very convenient South shore, north shore, mid island.

This plumbing supply house primarily serves professional contractors. The prices are on the high side. However, the quality of.the materials are much better than what you would find at Home Depot or Lowes. They not only offer basic plumbing material and tools, they also carry boilers, water heaters, furnaces and baseboards. They are one of a few remaining professional plumbing supply houses on Staten Island. They have two locations on S.I. Materials can be picked up at the stores or you can have it delivered. Homeowners are welcomed but the counter employees don't have much patience if you you're not sure what you're looking for.

-000 star customer service is so bad

Looking for an uncommon Gebirit in-wall German flush valve. Local distributors in NJ told me "15 days, I can order it". "Any chance you got it in another warehouse"..."dunno...you can call around". Great. This is not a Home Depot item, so I called on the off chance Coastal Supply in Staten Island to see if they had a line on this valve. Called on a National holiday. They're open (refreshing). Spoke to Lou who said nada at his location, BUT LET ME CHECK THE OTHER WAREHOUSES--I'll call you back, but it may be tomorrow. Fine. True to his word, he called me back later that DAY and said they had none, but he'd check a couple of sources that weren't open. This morning, Thursday, he called and said he struck out, but led off the call with an apology for not calling YESTERDAY. You kidding...finding that level of customer SERVICE speaks volumes for a business that KEEPS IT WORD and does exactly what they say they do. You just don't find that caring much these days, certainly not in a big box store. I'm just so impressed when a business cares enough to follow up, be it good news or bad (and Lou, FYI, I sourced the valve on the west coast that a guy just happened to have in stock because a flaky customer that ordered it just...well...flaked. His loss, my gain. So if you need something, give Lou a call at the Bay Street location on the Island. Good guy, good people. Can't say enough about the followthru. Well deserved accolades!

Absolutely unparalleled knowledge, expertise & Customer service!!! Nothing on earth beats the small "mom & pop shop" These people struggle to stay in business & need your patronage. Home depot does not. Ok, so I knew what I needed, but don't know what everything is called exactly. (I'm not a professional plumber) but I drew a little stick figure diagram on paper, explained the best I could what I wanted to do. 3 minutes later I had a pile of things on the countertop & was done with checkout. I wasted 3 hours earlier in Home Depot with their alleged professional plumber & I left there empty handed, angry & frustrated without my problem solved. Huge mistake not coming here first. Nothing on earth is more valuable than knowledgeable customer service!!!

If I can give them less than 1 star I would. I went in there to ask them a question about caping a radiator the short bald guy, I don’t know what his deal is he looked at me as if I was from a different world, started to give me faces and an attitude for no reason I asked him one question and walked away. Never again would I go there it’s obvious if I go there it’s because I needed help and had questions about caping a radiator and which product I should use and need.

Never going back. Never understood on what I need even with the item and picture. Don’t know the head from the elbow is a nice way of putting it. I needed a female and they only had males and wasn’t converting my plumbing because I don’t have the room for it. My valve even had the specs tag for them to look at. This place makes me very upset that me as a contractor knows more then the people who are trying to sell the items. I’m puzzled on how people with no knowledge of plumbing stay in business. Never heard of a plumbing supplier only having males and no female

Needed to have my kitchen faucet replaced in a hurry.I used the Roto Rooter app to schedule a appointment. Michael arrived on time and did a great job replacing the faucet. He explained exactly what needed to be done and gave me a good price. Plus he was a good guy. Would recommend Roto Rooter if you need a repair done in a hurry.
