I found Randy through one of our neighbors and could not be more happy with his services. We had a leaking hot water heater and, even with his already booked schedule, he worked us in to evaluate our issue. Turned out we needed a new tank and was able to replace it for us in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Randy and his expertise.

Run in the opposite direction. Mr. Harvery strung us along for more than a year before acknowledging (well, he didn't actually acknowledge; he just erected 1000 barriers standing between himself and actual work) that our project was beyond his ability or interest.

We’ve used Harveys several times from snaking out drains to installing heats pumps and a new hot water heater and have been more than satisfied every single time. They are a great family-owned business.

I'm from Stanstead Quebec and I needed 4 x 1" copper Tee's to finish a project. Blodgett charged me $16.63 US (list price with no discount) per fitting, when normally the same fittings would cost around $5.70 US ($7.60 CDN) at Home Depot in Canada. First and Last time I'll shop at Blodgett Supply, I'd rather drive the extra hour to a large box store in Sherbrooke. Sad !!!

Changed an aquastat ... Which I found out they WAY overcharged me for... and billed me for twice the time they were there.. And it lasted a month... due to a bad install ( had a reputable company fix it)..When asking about a replacement from them before looking elsewhere... They told me I had to pay again.. AVOID THEM

Took two weeks to call me back; said it was an issue with the answering service. I'm always willing to give a second chance so we made an appointment for 8:30 this am. Showed up after 10:00 with no phone call to tell me he was running late or whatever. By then I was in the middle of another project and didn't realize he was here until he was pulling out of the drive; not terribly interested in dealing with him at that point, anyway. It is unacceptable to me for someone to be that late particularly given the earlier impression left with the return phone call.

I had read the earlier reviews but decided to see for myself. ApparentlyI did.

He broke through the bathroom wall and took a week longer to complete the bathroom renovation for our new house, nearly pushing our closing back. A portion of subfloor he replaced sits above the rest of the floor and prevents the door from closing properly. The handle on the new bathtub broke within 6 months. When I called and asked him to come out and look at the sticking door and broken handle, he told me to call him after the holidays and then blew off my calls for two months.

I called Allen on New Year’s Day at 7pm. I had a burst pipe and water flooding the basement. I left a message and called four other companies, none of whom could come out. He called back within half an hour, came out promptly and had me up and running 45 minutes later. He was professional, courteous and calm in the face of my absolute panic. I appreciated him coming out so quickly when nobody else would. I would recommend him and plan to use his business for future projects.

Very happy with the work done by the team at GMP&H. They installed a new furnace, AC, and some intricate duct work in the tight spaces within our cabin. They even managed to tuck a run up a corner wall in order get forced hot air upstairs for the first time since 1988 when the cabin was built. No small feat. The price was also very fair. They cleaned up very nicely after themselves, too. Thank you.
PS. Heating bills seem to be down about 25% with the picked up efficiency, albeit a warmer winter.

Creative solutions to my challenging heating issues, which is really appreciated. Allen spends the time to talk through the issues, the repair (or replace) budget and engages the customer in finding a good solution. Of course these great attributes keep him busy with customers but he is responsive and incredibly pleasant, even in times of crisis. Highly recommended.

LaPlante's is reliable, communicative, and they stand behind the work they do. We very recently had a new boiler installed by them and a few mornings later when it was extremely cold outside, our house was still not able to fully heat up. We reached out to Laplante’s on a Sunday morning to let them know that this was happening, and later that same afternoon three of them were at the house testing the new boiler, investigating the issue further, and helping us identify what the root cause of our heating issue was (the issue was not the new boiler they had installed). We were grateful for their support and reminded why we choose LaPlante’s for all things plumbing and heating.

With the Holidays approaching, my hot water tank began to leak. Ikes! As with everything mechanical in my home, I reached out to my brother who has connections in the trades. He highly recommended Laplante Plumbing and Heating as my go-to resource. I called and spoke to Hillary who helped me with my concerns, and without delay, they showed up to my home to assess what was going on. All things considered (and long story short) we chose to replace my tank and boiler with a wall hung Bosch Greenstar 151 Combi (on-demand boiler and water heater) (see picture).
Even after I chose to move the boiler location, Chuck and Don had the work done in a couple days! The job was neat clean and dry. I cannot believe how quiet the new unit is, and how amazing the install came out. This job was bigger than it started out to be, and through all of it, these guys really impressed me. On time, professional, productive, and reasonable. Taking a problem that any other plumber would insist was a simple tank replacement, and allowing my input and preferences to come up with a solid solution for me and my family.
Now in the middle of an Arctic blast that would have taxed my old boiler, I have to check to see if this new one is running because it is so silent. The house seems almost magically warm and I am really happy with my endless hot water too! I look forward to my gas bill so I can see how the manufacturers efficiency numbers play against my expenses.
I will call these guys again as I finish the space once occupied by my old boiler, since we envision a new half bathroom in our basement living area.
