It would be hard to find a more experienced, skilled, and professional plumber than Jim Manley. Plus, Jim is a super nice guy. Being new to West Rutland, we wanted to find a local plumber who we could trust. Jim did a thorough evaluation of our older home's plumbing system and made helpful recommendations. He adjusted the temperature on our shower and installed a new corner toilet for us. Jim was patient in his work and made sure that everything was just right. We look forward to working with Jim on future home improvement projects.

Jim is awesome! I called him in the early morning and he was able to squeeze me by noon in because he was in my area. He fixed a leaky hot water valve in the basement and then noticed my kitchen faucet was loose and dripping a bit, so he also fixed that. 10/10, would absolutely recommend to a friend and will definitely be calling him again.

Jim is one of the best home service professionals I have come to know. He's honest, and will spend the time trying to figure something out and fixing it correctly. He will treat you well and fairly for his time and is always willing to work on what you need. He's a great guy overall, and I can't thank him enough for all his help over the last couple of years. I will be using Jim for as long as he wants to help me out.

Wow, what amazing service and at a very reasonable rate! When I called him today, he answered the call. In visiting with Jim I learned that he runs the entire business on his own. I appreciate that because he is an experienced, highly knowledgeable and professional plumber! I was happily shocked that he made time to come by the house within about an hour of me calling him in the late afternoon. Jim found the leak when even a city inspector couldn't. Jim had the leak found and fixed within 15 minutes tops. Jim has what I call Vermont character whereby I feel like he's a new friend because he's so personable! Jim is a great plumber and a great person, so look no further if you need a great plumber!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars- In an economy of people looking to lie to you and rip you off, Jim actually knows the real way to handle problems at the root cause without absurd extra costs. I spent weeks sifting through options to fix my furnace and no one would do it without replacing it for many thousands of dollars. Jim fixed it in one afternoon for a tiny fraction of that. Great service, great attitude, great work. As it once was, so Jim still is.

We have used Belknap's Plumbing & Heating for two different plumbing jobs at our house. On both occasions we were very impressed and pleased with the quality of the work. We found them to be professional, dependable craftsmen with a high standard of workmanship. We highly recommend them with no reservations.

Top notch staff in Morrisville.

My hot water heater went out on me Tuesday morning. (Because it is winter and below zero, of course it was going to go out! HA) The Granite Group didn't have it, but they got it and I had my hot water tank the next day! Other folks it was going to be 10-15 days! Wonderful group of folks to work with! I will definitely use The Granite Group in Morrisville again! THANK YOU!

This is a long review, but if you really want to know who you will be dealing with, please give it a read. I have never complained about a service provider in my life, let alone left a bad review. This is the most outrageous treatment I've experienced from any business in any field.
Summary:
This company denied me service during an emergency because of an issue that was never communicated to me. I was without running water for six days and this company let me schedule an appointment, then later left me a message telling me it was cancelled and to find a new plumber (verbatim). They knew very well my situation, that we're in a horrible heat wave, and that finding a plumber right now is essentially impossible.
Details:
From what I understand, the issue that caused them to refuse service was that I paid my last bill at the time I scheduled my next service. This is true - I paid a bill from November in May when I scheduled service, and one from June when I scheduled this appointment last Friday (early August). This is simply because I never received a bill of any kind (though they insist they send text, email, and paper bills) and just forgot about it until I thought about the plumber again. This doesn't seem crazy to me, especially given the hard times of the past couple years, never mind that costs are out of control and oh also, my mother is dying of terminal cancer. I've had a hard past year and insanely, keeping track of a bill from the plumber for them was not on top of my list of priorities. Anyway, I was never told that this was an issue at all, let alone an issue that would cause them to deny me service during an emergency and treat me like a criminal. I tried to explain the situation to them, showed them searches on my phone and email showing that I received nothing (I guess I could have deleted texts/emails, which I obviously didn't, but you can't prove a negative so I was kind of stuck on that front). I apologized profusely and offered to pay up front for the next service before anyone entered my property. I offered to pay days in advance so it would clear before service. I *begged* them to help me. In response to this (I initially presented it over a phone call, during which I accidentally cried due to water-related and heat-induced stress, then sent a follow-up email repeating the offers previously noted and they responded via email) they said, "we will not be able to help you." Again, verbatim, again knowing how long I had been without water and that I likely would not be able to get service elsewhere any time soon. I will also note that I had previously contacted them for a quote to replace my broken water heater, which they engaged with once, and then completely ignored. I did not make a fuss about that or bring it up at all, because I know that things happen and people miss things because they're not infallible. Unfortunately they would not extend me the same courtesy. The fact that I offered to pay in full up front and they still refused says to me that they were more interested in punishing me than in the money. If they had offered to help me (which they wouldn't) I would decline. I would rather not have water than give this company more money.
I should note that this is not a reflection on the actual service at all - the work done was great and timely, no problem there. This is purely a reflection on management.
After calling every plumber within an hour's drive, I was saved by AI Jeffers & Sons, who sent someone out the next morning (despite being 45 minutes away - Lane is a three minute drive from me). When talking with the plumber, he mentioned that when someone doesn't have water, that takes precedence. They ordered me a replacement water pump and installed it the next morning. If you need service, especially emergency service, I would call AI Jeffers & Sons first, and I would never, ever call Lane. -
Could not say anything other than positive things. They were great. Attentive. They fixed my problem quickly and the work was neat. Would definitely use them again.

Had an issue with our vermont house. Technician was onsite, fixing the problem within 2 hours of my call. Work was completed professionally and at a very fair price! Don't hesitate to call this company,. Class Act!

This is my true service experience from Lane Plumbing and Heating. I am writing this long review to help anyone to avoid potential trouble and pain working with them.
The heater of my vacation house went down 3 weeks ago and I called them for an inspection service. After the inspection, they send the invoice for 1hr labor cost and clearly stated the problem with the heater and the 2 parts they need to replace to fix the heater: a 3-way valve and a new boiler pump. They told me the parts will arrive in a week and the technician will be able to install them the in following Thursday afternoon or early Friday morning. So I accept a group of my friends who planned the trip to come and stay at the house next Friday.
On the following Thursday, I called the office to confirm if the parts were delivered and see if they received the right parts so I don't need to ask my friend to cancel the trip, they told me the 3-way valve and boiler pump were delivered and a technician will come Friday morning to install (The office didn't check if parts were correct when they received). And on Friday I wait for the technician until noon and the technician arrived at the house but found out the pump they ordered and received was the wrong one. Then the office tried to figure out other ways to fix the heater. At this point, all the labor hr they spent on Friday were fixing their own mistake for the wrong order part. However, without the correct pump model, there is no way the heating system would be fixed. The technician clearly understand that but they didn't give me any clear information to me. I was thrown into a black hole at that moment not knowing if the heater would still work or not, and how long the technician was still gonna stay at the house and work on the heater with the wrong part. And after 4 hours they finally told me they need to order the correct pump to fix the heater in the next week. At that moment my friends have already arrived at the house and I have to ask them to find somewhere else to stay or just went home. I felt really bad for them due to the mistake and miscommunication from Lane.
After another week, the technician came with the correct part and complete the installation in 1 hr and the system was back and running without any issue (So the correct service labor hr should be 1hr inspection + 1hr installation). The technician only mentioned to me that the 3-way valve and boiler pump is the parts that are needed to fix the problem and he personally is very nice to work with.
The next morning I received the invoice which really shocked me. They charged me 6.5 hr of labor (4 hr of labor fixing their own mistake with the wrong part they have) and besides the 3-way valve and boiler pumper they added 4 more parts and 5 gallons of antifreeze that I have never heard from their team through the whole service. Basically, it would be a $550 service bill with needed parts and labor, but due to their own mistake, they charge me $1500 on the final invoice. I try to communicate with their front desk and the manager on the phone. The response was they decided to no longer service my house anymore because I don't agree with their invoice and the manager ask me to find someone else to work with.
So I would advise those who read my review to check other service companies before working with Lane. The miscommunication over the phone with the front desk and lack of transparency on the service cost definitely lost all my trust in this company and I hope no more people get harmed by businesses like this that treat their customers in similar ways.
[Updates on the case] After I left reviews based on my service experience, I received a call from their office threaten me that I will receive a letter from their attorney due to I spam their business profiles on the internet. This really surprised me how they treat their customers' feedback in such an extreme way. -
Spoke with Tara on the phone and she was extremely helpful in explaining the notes of the plumber that had done work on my heating system. She broke down what the issue was and answered all my questions in detail. Thank you so much! Will be leveraging Lane Plumbing for all future plumbing/heating needs.

I've been using Lane Plumbing for over 12 years and have always been happy. They get the job done quickly and they do it right. They don't take shortcuts and they don't recommend work that isn't necessary either. I've had to call them twice for emergencies and they've been responsive both times. Something I wish they did - even though NO plumbers (or electricians EVER do this) - is repair the ceiling after they cut it to get to a problem. I understand - it's not their area of expertise. I just wish that would be an option - that I would obviously pay for. Having to hire someone else to patch something is always a pain. But as I said, in all my years of dealing with plumbers and electricians I have never met one who did this - it's normal. Also, I've found many of their plumbers to be personable, interesting people.

Excellent quality, service and price! We needed all of our pipes replaced. The process was seamless. Scheduling was very quick. John was on time, professional and friendly. The crew showed up to do the job with John and were on time, efficient, friendly and professional. We will definitely use them again in the future if we need a plumber.

Thanks to Lane Plumbing for a great job replacing our old galvanized water pipes. They came right on schedule and were professional in their work and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend Lane Plumbing!

Paquette Plumbing showed up on time, they were very professional and thorough. They exceeded my expectation on the installation and clean up. Also the technicians took the time to explain how to operate my heat pump unit. I will use them again for any future problems and I would recommend them to friends and family.

We could not be happier with the job that Avery & Tim did in removing our old oil boiler and installing a new heat pump water tank! From the day we called, up to installation day, everybody was professional and thourough. And, the entire process did not take long at all which is amazing in this day and age!

They came for an evaluation/estimate. I needed some simple plumbing repairs, and I wanted to have a water softener system installed. Joe took a water sample, and promised a response within a week or two. 5 months later, I’ve made multiple phone calls to the office, the secretary promises a call back, and no response or follow-up. Apparently they don’t need any new customers.

Update 7/13/23: I have had some plumbing issues recently and was taken care of immediately considering how hard it is for employers right now! Appreciated all from original phone calls, return calls(especially the one that saved me a bunch of money on the coldest day we had last year), prompt employees who explained what needed to be done, and easy to understand invoices. Thank you
Installed a combination boiler for me. Am very happy with the work. The only downside is that estimates and billing need better explanations. I found them a bit confusing and felt I made a pain in the butt of myself wanting explanations.
