I will forever call William J Riley for all my heating and plumbing needs. They were nice, honest and professional from the minute I called to the time they came out to assess a leak and then install my new water heater tank! AMAZING service 10/10 recommend!

Hands down, running away, best experienced plumbers you're going to find. Reputable outfit, and I'm proud to have them work in my home anytime! Have done multiple projects with them in the past 4 years from moving a laundry out of the basment to a former porch area on the first floor, water pressure pump, and just recently a new propane fired boiler. All methods and materials are top-notch. They bomb the place with guys when the job needs it! They brought little things to current code in adject work that I wasn't even aware of. On the PVC drain work, they spin all the lettering toward the wall or ceiling. This is not a hit and run outfit from Angie's List or whatever. These guys are the real deal! They also don't start making faces at you when you ask them to take a per.it out on the job. I remember the first time I had them come out, and William J. himself came to do the estimate. I mentioned as he was leaving. " I need to see a plumbing permit included in this job." He smiled and replied it won't be a problem that he was on the State Board of Plumbers, and he was going to get one anyway. "

They recently came out to add a "Deduct METER" to the two hose bibs on the
exterior of the house. I will no longer be paying the sewer part of the water bill on the water used by those hose bibs or any future irrigation system I install for landscaping in general.

    The absolute BEST!!!
Not only was Dave the only heating technician who could help us fix our system when we first moved to Providence (after two other companies came, including the one that installed it!), but he came to our rescue again when we were being overcharged and told that our new heating pumps were defective. Dave was able to correctly diagnose the issue and remedy it…and without an expensive and unnecessary replacement of parts. He even fixed a problem we didn’t even know we were having due to the previous company incorrectly setting our furnace!

It is rare to find people like Dave anymore…so genuine, caring, and honest. I consider myself very lucky to know him and work with him.
For someone who never leaves company reviews, I happily leave this one since we can’t thank Riley Plumbing and Heating enough!

Day 1: Priority Plumbing (henceforth PP) scheduled to remove old furnace & replace w/new gas steam boiler w/new gas pipes, vent, electrical, & electric water feeder. Included use of addition of pipe conditioner to calm pipe banging & install new thermostat on opposite side of wall w/understanding it would take 1 day (quoted $6200). Work started Day 1, but PP got a call of emergency water main break at an apartment complex, & seemed rushed throughout the day to get to the bigger customer. The “new electrical” was wiring to the nearest junction box in the basement & PP suggested I should hire an electrician to run a line directly to the electric panel, but that PP could not (would not?) do that. PP left the metal flexible conduit from the vent unconnected to the boiler (it should have been attached to the new boiler via the punch hole) so the wires now hang out the side of the boiler. PP untidily connected the new thermostat wire to our old knob & tube & left it hanging dangerously close to uninsulated steam pipes. PP did not finish in one day, but connected boiler to get heat going & left to come back the next a.m. (3 hours, Day 2) to finish & clean up tools & supplies PP had left in our garage. PP installed the new thermostat on wrong side of wall, & had to change that the next a.m. too, as well as relight the pilot & turn on the water heater (cold showers). PP left the 4 cement blocks that elevated the old boiler in random places in the basement, messy. Heat worked, but pipes banged much louder & more violently than w/older system (woke us up at night, shook floor, scared cats). Evening of Day 2, I put laundry in the washer. Day 3, I went downstairs to put the load of laundry from the washer to the dryer, but found water ALL OVER the basement floor, the waste hose from the washer was disconnected from the pipe to the sump pump. PP confirmed they had removed the hose & admitted they forgot to put it back! Water was in two rooms & a hallway of our finished basement. (We were flabbergasted!) I requested PP clean up their mess, so PP brought a shop vac to get the water (Day 4) but I demanded industrial blowers, so PP begrudgingly complied & later that day brought one in to use over the weekend. Pipe banging continued to wake us up at night over the weekend & I wondered if PP had forgotten the pipe conditioner? PP worker came to get the blower Day 7 I asked if PP had added conditioner, & PP hadn’t. Later that day (Day 7), I went to put away clean linens in the linen closet in the basement, but couldn’t open the closet door, bc a pipe that ran above the closet was now resting below the front of the linen closet doors, blocking access. Workers arrived Day 11 to fix it & I firmly explained the frustrations w/their attention to detail, problems w/their workmanship that needed to be corrected, & PP rudely stood told us I were being passive-aggressive (mind.blown.) PP failed to sweep or vacuum the metal filings around the base of the new unit, but the heat was working, & making less noise after finally adding the pipe conditioner. The next day (Day 12) I went downstairs to put away some boxes, tripping on one of the random cement blocks they relocated near the furnace. I went to move it out of the way, but realized it wouldn’t move. PP had lodged it, w/a new unconnected piece of copper piping, under the steam pipe ensemble to prop up & lift the whole configuration so the cabinet opened. THAT was their solution to the problem! PP did not attempt to use any proper pipe support (feet, rolls or hanging straps) but instead just crammed an oversized cement block & extra piece of copper pipe under the pipe configuration. I was livid! I said it was not acceptable, but PP said “what’s wrong now”? And didn’t even see how inappropriate their “solution” was. Mike seems like a nice guy, but do not hire him to fix or install anything.

Called the answering service for an emergency (no gas heat) for a tenant. Mike answered the call with a text. At my front door approximately 30 minutes later. Mike was quick to find a correct the problem. Quick service, expert knowledge, reasonable cost; I highly recommend Mike and Priority Plumbing.

Had my hot water tank blow over the weekend. Mike and team showed up to take a look at it and replaced it first thing on a Monday morning. Very reasonably priced and couldn't have been more friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Called PP early on a Friday to schedule a dishwasher uninstall and install. I spoke with PP and was told I'd be called back to schedule. That call came on Monday. They were able to fit me in for that Friday at 7am which was great because I had another appointment to make afterward and was told the service would take 2 hours. They were kind, professional, helpful and did a good job as far as I can tell. I have 2 issues and I took a star off for each. The workers arrived at 8:10am instead of 7am. I called their after hours answering service at 7:30am and 8am and someone texted the workers but nobody called me until they were outside my door... I also had sticker shock. You see I was told the job would be $375 and I figured they'd maybe bill me another $40 to haul away the old dishwasher since that's what Lowe's would've charged me. Once they got here the plumber wasn't sure they had the parts to do the job. I'm like what?!? Once he determined that he did I was informed the price jumped to $600.... At that price I would've just paid Lowes to install and haul it away instead of hiring a plumber. I wasn't perfectly clear but I was what passes for clear about my setup with PP over the phone so this major increase in the estimate seemed inappropriate to me but it is what it is. A common practice bait and switch tactic used to get into peoples homes and land the job over a different contractor... I should've told them to leave but this dishwasher had been sitting in my kitchen for a little over a week and I just wanted it installed. They told me the haul away for the old dishwasher was being done at no charge instead of charging $50. I'm not sure if I'm being ungrateful here but my expectations were way different than the end result and if nothing else they were 70 minutes late for a job and didn't even address it. I just don't think I'll do business with them again and I'm sick of contractors gouging. They made $600 for 2 hours of time and less than $100 worth of materials which is pretty lame in my honest opinion.

Have used Mike and his team at Priority Plumbing for installation of high efficiency boilers at a couple of properties I own throughout the state. Always punctual and extremely professional, highly recommend them to anyone looking for similar services.

I quoted 3 other places before coming here for the best rate. The plumbers came in early. They were very professional. They did their due diligence and quality checked every nook and cranny. It was quick, cost efficient, and high quality service. I highly recommend their service.

I have an older home and had a problem with my tub connection leaking . My plumbing was in a narrow crawl space making the repair a challenge. The crew was professional and courteous and kept repair costs to a minimum and only replaced what was needed to solve the problem. This was my first time using Priority and it won't be my last. I have no problem recommending this company and giving them 5 stars for their service.

Excellent! Couldn't be happier! Not only did he do a great job but being able to quickly schedule us in and get a new burner and in-direct water tank installed into our new house when we didn't have heat during below freezing temperatures was a huge stress-reliever. I highly recommend Priority Plumbing & Heating.

I have just completed a pretty extensive kitchen reno recently. The reno company I used contracted out to Priority and Mike Cambio for all of the plumbing work. They were professional, punctual and great to work with. I liked their work so much I asked them to install a water pressure pump shortly afterward. Thanks Mike and team for a great experience! Highly recommended!
