Plumbing reviews in Chattanooga, Tennessee

This company is the absolute worst. They are crooks who do terrible work. Not only did they not fix the issue with my leaky toilet, they broke the flange, damaged the porcelain in the commode and ruined a window sill. They doctored their notes in order to provide "evidence" that they were not at fault. Even if you use a home warranty, DO NOT allow this company into your home. They create problems in order to bill the home warranty more. Absolute crooks!

Simple, typical set up. Professional, friendly staff. My hubby and son shot a 50 cal and had a blast! So freakin' loud! We were there during a quiet time of day but it looks like they get busy with classes, and sales. Their shooting range is inside, fairly typical and with the heat, much appreciated. Thanks for the good time, and we'll be back! Highly recommend

I haven't had a good experience. This is going through my home warranty . Came to do leak detection. He said he thought it was under the concrete but he didn't give me an exact spot where leak was. First employe thought it was inside under concrete guy with leak detection thought it was under walkway. Leak section I expected and exact spot where the leak is at do not want to bust sidewalk up or tear up all concrete in my house to find and fix a leak. Leak detection guy should have marked the spot where leak was at not give me his best guess. Now home warranty said they have done there job. I was told to use American leak detection. Hopfully they will prove home waranty and plumbers wrong so I can look into lawyer's. I think home warranty got what they wanted to hear. Few plumbers the all told me to use American leak detection they where really the only company that did leak section on slabs.

This contractor outshines others in this area. If I have a job for my house or a job through my warranty I will only use Master Plumbing. Jennifer is great in the office, and Glenn, Chad, and Nathan will do the dirtiest jobs with a smile on their face, 0 complaints.

They do NOT have a license, and they lied about it. We had them redo a sewer line for us back in February, but they never came by to finish the job. Because we had a difficult time contacting them (after a week of it being unfinished) I went to the permit office to see what the permit says. Alas-- they never pulled one because they dont have licenses!!!
We had to have another company completely rip out their work and redo it because none of it was up to code. Also, the guys who were here and did work left their trash all over the yard and made a huge mesa in our bathroom-- fecal matter everywhere, rippes the towel bar from the wall, and didn't seal the toilet correctly.
We cancelled the payment with the bank to get our $$ back (thousands of dollars) and they waited until the last minute to counter our claim, not giving us time to refute anything so we were trapped paying the claim. So, they got the money back and we were forced to pay them.
SCAMMY disgusting business!! -
I will have to agree with Spencer Holleman, communication is lack luster at best. I too used them as a referral from my home servicing provider and was given an arrival time of 9 am for may appointment. My appointment day arrived not call not show and i called them at 11 where i
was informed that my appointment time was 11-1 ( this was not the original time given) I informed them that i needed to be at my 2nd job at 4pm. At 2 pm no one had called or shown up to assist with my plumbing need however at 2:45 i did get a call stating that the tech was on his way , she stated the had an emergency, however still no call was given to me and it appears that maybe business is good, however not enough techs to fill requests. I graciously declined as i had to be at work at 4 and simply no longer wanted service from them . I now feel that it may have worked out for the best as i may not have been happy with the quality afterwards based off of the additional reviews left here. -
There is a host of negative reviews and while I did also have my issues, non of them are MPoTs fault in my opinion. An employee was sent to replace the water heater in my home who wasn't operating under the confines of the law. I need not go further and this business shouldn't be negatively impacted publicly by one devious employee. He was quickly removed from the job and the owner of the business personally saw to my job being completed after the mishap. I've had zero issues with the new water heater since it's replacement.

Our home warranty company sent out Master Plumbing of TN for a service call due to hot water and garbage disposal leaking. Both gentleman did a great job and worked hard. They were able to replace my items that day.

These guys did an awesome job figuring out a difficult repair and making it work, all in a timely manner. We were not in residence for most of the time, and they communicated well and kept me notified of all developments. Great job Glenn and Nathan!

This is in response to my previous post where the company responded. I have the texts from my tenant, it is obvious there was not 5 attempts. Also I lodged a complaint with the BBB which you failed to even acknowledge. Lastly I called multiple times, sent e-mails, called the Memphis office, and left multiple VM when I was still trying to get you to finish the work with no response. Jennifer, you are not accurately characterizing the situation at all. You guys had your money and washed your hands of the situation. Quick fix for all of this, since you did not complete the work for whatever reason, give me some sort of refund

All our sewer lines were backed up and it was a mess to say the least. The service guy came out and was so nice and reassuring that he would fix the problem and get everything back up and running, which he did. He also explained to us how to make sure we don’t have another backup. Thank you for the quick response!!!!!

I had to use this company b/c of my home warranty. The communication was not great on setting the appointment. I often had to call multiple times to follow up on appointment times since they wouldn't call when they said they would. When someone finally came to the house, they said the issue was just an old wax ring, even though we showed that it wasn't just leaking but bubbling when flushed, which implied bigger issues. Now a few weeks later, we're having the same problem and asked for a new plumbing company from the home warranty company. The new plumbing company said the whole toilet was installed wrong initially and there's a lot more work that needs done to fix the issue. I would have expected that to be spotted/known by Master Plumbing the first time around. I'll avoid this company in the future.

Glenn is the man!
He sent us a text when he was on his way over. BONUS.
He was on time. He got all our new toilets installed. He had to fix some of the plumbing so it took some time but he got everything done in reasonable time and at an affordable price. He also laid down mats and wore shoe coverings so he wouldn't track dirt around the house. -
I am glad to give a 5 star rating to them! Our plumbing backed up from the main line and we couldn't use bathrooms or shower. Glenn came out to our house on a Saturday to find where the blockage was and discovered it was tree roots in the line. He was really nice and caring and lined up all the equipment he needed so that on Sunday he could start digging. By Sunday evening he had new lines put in around the tree and all our drains work great now! He knew exactly what he was doing and was extremely professional. I totally recommend Master Plumbing to anyone with any problems!

My name is Ceara and as you can see in the pic provided we paid master plumber to go out and hook up a dishwasher, sink and disposal. We paid $350 on May 24th for that service. While the plumber was at the house he said we had another leak under the sink in the wall and wanted to know if we wanted to fix that also. We let them know later that day that we would like that leak fixed and when could we schedule that (assuming he had already finished the hook ups for everything else like we just paid him to, we live out of state so didnt get to inspect it ourselves and didnt find out he didnt complete his job till we got a home inspection report). Well here we are over a month later and the disposal is still not hooked up and they never fixed the additional leak we asked them too (thank goodness we didnt pay them for that work yet). But the main problem now is that we paid for a disposal to be hooked up and it never was (see attached photo of home inspection done 6/20/19 and you can see the date in the pic so she cant say we are lying) Bottom line is I would like a refund for the work not completed that we paid for (seems logical right?) But when I called Jen to talk to her about it this is how the conversation went:
Me-Hi my name is Ceara how are you?
Jen-What can I can help with
Me- I think you have been talking to my brother Jared about a dispute and I know things got emotional so I wanted to call and talk calmly like adults and see what we can do to mediate the problem
Jen- (starts screaming at me) NO you listen to ME, I am a good person, I am a single mom with two kids!!
Me- (calmly replying) Jen I never said you weren't a good person, I just want to talk about the problem with the house like mature adults
Jen-(still yelling at me and cutting me off) No listen your brother went and wrote a nasty fraudulent review about us right after we agreed over the phone to go to the home and fix the problem. So after I saw that review I canceled your appointment (without telling us either by the way) because we dont work with people like you and if we are fraudulent why do you want a fraudulent plumber working on your house anyway?!! Oh look my best friend is calling me, I dont have time for this! --Then hungs up on me.
I called right back and of course it goes to voicemail and I leave a very calm message asking her to please call me back so we can talk this out like adults because thats what you do as a business owner, you dont get to just hang up on people if you dont like what is happening. I calmly stated that we paid for a disposal to be hooked up (the whole additional leak problem aside at this point) and it was not completed so we need to figure out a solution.
Jen of course never called me back, but I am sure she will have some excuse as to why she treated me like this and it will be validated in her eyes. As you can see in the pics attached the disposal is not hooked up and I am now paying additional money to get it finished today. And since Jen wont return phone calls and I know she reads these reviews I figure this is the only way to contact her and let her know that I would like a refund for the disposal not being hooked up or I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. I didnt want to do this (hence why I tried calling) but since she wanted to act childish and scream and hang up on me for a problem they created themselves, and obviously thinks if you just ignore people your problems will go away, she has left me no other choice. I would love to edit this post later and say that she calmly called me and apologized for the way she behaved and offered the refund (like any normal business owner would do) but the ball is in her court now so we will see what choice she makes -
If we could give them zero stars, we would...basically the home warranty company we use said they had an opening either the same day or the next. They called back and said they couldn't come until the next Monday (6 days later). Monday has arrived and they just called to say they couldn't make it until Thursday. I called the home warranty company, they contacted them and it became a "possibly" Thursday. The Regional Manager of our home warranty company will be contacting them, and we're now back in the system for another plumbing company. Simply not good business! I have no idea if they would even be competent enough to fix our problem, since they don't seem to want to show up to do the work needed in the first place. Very unreliable company...whoever is in charge needs to fix this! I WILL be posting on the BBB website, as well.

Glenn came out on a service call through my home warranty. He was wonderful. At first the home warranty company said they wouldn't replace my garbage disposal but Glenn solved the problem and I ended up with a brand new replacement. He was patient and waited whole we sorted it out with the home warranty. I would recommend this business to anyone. A++

We had 2 plumbing issues within 2 weeks. The people at Master Plumbing were quick to respond and correct the problem(s). We then had an unforeseen emergency & Master plumbers had 3 people at our home within an hour. They explained what happened and fixed it immediately. We can't thank them enouph & will definitely call them again if we need a quality plumber.

A worker for this company dumped a used hot water heater they removed from a residence along with the large box for the replacement hot water heater at the dumpsters in the community illegally. There are signs that clearly state no dumping of large items, etc. on the outside of the dumpster corral. I have photos of the worker and the company truck as this happened that were sent to me by an owner at the condominiums at the association. I tried to call the "24 hour emergency line" and it rolled over and said the "voice mail was not set up" so I tried the other numbers listed on the website. Same response. I emailed through their website and did receive a response fairly quickly. However, the response said they will get the worker back out to remove the heater and box and, 48 hours later, it is still there. This will result in a large cost to this Association and I have already advised the company they will have to reimburse the Association for the cost of removal and dumping of the heater and box off-site. I am dismayed that a company does not follow through with their promise to have something illegally dumped removed as promised. I will gladly follow up to this review should the company finally perform. Word of caution...if you live in a deed restricted community and have Master Plumbing handle any appliance replacement, be sure they don't leave their junk where it is not supposed to be. **Update as of March 30, 2018. Company has not paid us for the expense of having the water heater removed and hauled off to the dump. No response from the owner as well, either here on Google reviews or via email to my office. We have an office in Nashville and I have advised them of this issue and not to use Master Plumbing for any of their communities. **

Thank you Glen for going above and beyond to help us this week, my wife and I wanted to make sure you did something that we will always remember.

The WORST company i was force to use, going through 3rd party companies or not. If you are in need this is NOT the company you want to use. NO CALL NO SHOW is not the right business move. When the company schedules the service. Mrs Jennifer called and apologize and stated that I was wrong for expressing my feelings and frustration about how I did not receive a phone call about the No call no show on my scheduled service block. She is incorrect and this was NOT an emergency call. This was simple a schedule time that she, Mrs Jennifer in fact set up. Although I do understand situations happen and come up as I explain to Jennifer, i do not appreciate her yelling and telling me that she has kids and I should have accepted not getting any response from the company until they reached out at 11:00am the NEXT day with a solution. Yes she stated she has another technician but that was not until I express how bad the company has treated me. I am sorry Jennifer my situation is not important to you and you think you can treat customers poorly and we should wait on you and your situations are more important. I pray that you do not treat anyone else poorly after accepting their hard earn money.
