Many Thanks for years of service, especially for your prompt response during the recent ice storm and furnace replacement. Joseph was beyond competent and diligent. He put in a long day to get a new HVAC system installed under trying conditions. KUDOS!

Copeland Home Services is absolutely spectacular. Our thermostats shorted out and we couldn’t get AC or heat working, which put my pets at serious risk since they require a stable temperature range.

Brad, the GM, immediately reached out and tried to help me diagnose the issue over the phone in case it was something simple. When it wasn’t, he went above and beyond to get one of their technicians, Joe, the same one who originally installed our units, to come out after hours and last minute.

Joe not only fixed the issue, but he also found the root cause: our generator’s surge protector had started malfunctioning due to recent weather.

I truly cannot recommend Copeland enough. They stood by their work, treated the situation like the escalation it was. It gives me real peace of mind knowing they cared. It’s rare to find a company that genuinely shows up when it matters most and cares about their clients. Thank you guys again.

Had a wonderful experience using their services. Was experiencing issues with my heat not working and they had two of their workers (Tyler and Isiah) out almost immediately and they resolved the issue, all primarily during after hours which I am very grateful for. They were very efficient, knowledgeable and kind.

I recently had both HVAC units replaced, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Joe and Isiah handled both installations, and each time they were extremely polite, professional, and considerate. They did an outstanding job.

Without getting into all the complexities, both installations required creative problem solving due to the constraints of my existing home layout. Each time, Joe and Isiah took the time to identify solutions that worked within the space and corrected shortcomings from previous installations. Their communication was excellent throughout the process, and they installed the units in very tight, hard to reach areas which is incredibly impressive.

A special shout out to Brad, the GM, for his help in identifying issues with my existing systems and working to ensure everything was corrected properly.

While HVAC replacements are never inexpensive, they worked with me to make sure I had what I needed without breaking the bank. The quality of the work absolutely reflects the pricing.

I’ll be using them again for all my future HVAC needs and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and a professional team.

Copeland and Sons quickly responded to our need for heat during the ice storm. We were without electricity and heat and needed our gas fireplace fixed as soon as possible. They were very kind and responsive over the phone. Tyler S., our technician, was at our door within a few hours of our call. He was very knowledgeable and quickly got our fireplace working and producing heat. He checked out all the components of our fireplace and explained what was wrong. He took his time and answered all of our questions. I will definitely use Copeland and Sons again. We highly recommend them. Thanks again, Tyler!

My family has supported this business since Nathan Copeland was young and came to work with his dad, Frank Copeland, Jr. They overcharged me $5,140.00 for a simple water heater replacement. When I asked, they would not provide me with a breakdown of services with prices to support their unreasonable charge. I am a senior citizen, and I feel exploited! I do not recommend this company. They continue to advertise they are Better Business Bureau accredited with an A+ rating, and they are NOT accredited there! The image below is a recent mailing I received in the mail from them. I believe this to be unethical.

We moved to Nashville a couple of years ago and needed to establish relationships with service providers Copeland was referred by a friend. From the first visit (and repeated visits since) these guys have been terrific to work with. Michael & Tyler are the technicians that have done our service work. Each time they've been to our home they are timely, thorough and professional. I'm not an HVAC guy at all and these guys make me feel comfortable that our system is in good hands.

We had a great experience with Copeland Home Services on the HVAC side while addressing mold and high humidity issues in our home. This was a large and complex project, and it was handled with complete professionalism from start to finish.

I had immediate peace of mind when Nathan came out for the initial inspection and quote. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to explain the process clearly.

The installation team, Joseph and Isaiah, were outstanding. Their dedication to doing the job right truly impressed me. They were polite, respectful, and answered all of my questions along the way. They even stayed very late on the final night to make sure everything was completed correctly—which speaks volumes about their work ethic and pride in their work.

We’ve had no issues since the installation, and the results have been exactly what we needed. I’ve also appreciated how Copeland consistently shows up and takes care of any issue that arises.

After working with several other companies, I can confidently say Copeland Home Services is head and shoulders above the rest. Highly recommend.

These folks are incredible! With temps around 10 on 1/15/24 our heat went out at 4:30 AM. I left a VM for service. At 7:30 they were in with 4+ inches of snow on the ground and more coming down. By 8 AM they were working on our unit. Control board found bad. They located new replacement board in Nashville, sent someone for it and had it back in Franklin by 10:30 AM. By 11 AM, three hours after they diagnosed the problem, we had our heat working! Incredible service and customer support! Many Thanks to Barry and his team!

I use Franklin heating and cooling for my own house along with 4 rental properties I own. The annual inspection plan is awesome and the thorough job Bud does has saved me from critical HVAC failure multiple times. He even explained to me how exactly I could fix an issue myself to save some money, and having that kind of integrity towards the customer is way above normal in my book!

I reached out to Franklin Heating and Cooling regarding a HVAC system. Unfortunately, because of challenges they couldn't help me being a complicated new build on an existing slab. However, Krisit and her team has been great at answering many questions and educating me on the different options, brands and best usage. I have come back to her multiple times and with no delay answered my question with a very detailed response every time. Kristi is amazing!

I asked them to come out and look at a crushed pipe from a contractor on my large AC unit and give me a quote, took 4 or so days to get them to the home. Finally they arrive, the guy walk over to the unit, looked at the pipe, called and said, yep needs to be replaced and add refridgerant, should be a few hundred dollars. I then get a quote for $2300. Heres the irritating part. They then charged me $84 for them to come give me an estimate. The "estimate" charge to have them give me an estimate was not told to me before hand! I wont be using them due to the simple business practice of transparancy and communication and letting the customer know upfront they charge to come check out what is wrong with your system. Be aware, if people do business this way before you hire them, I can only imagine what they will do once they start working on it.

Serious Safety Concerns and Poor Service from Franklin Heating & Cooling!

In January, our heating system began struggling to maintain the thermostat setting. We contacted Franklin Heating & Cooling.
A technician arrived and diagnosed the issue as a faulty gas valve. Before leaving, he asked my husband to show him the propane tank to confirm fuel levels, after which the technician left to obtain the part, returned the same day, installed it, verified the unit was operating, and stated the part was under warranty and we would only be charged for labor.
We later received an invoice totaling $439 for approximately 40 minutes of service, which we paid. Later we discovered he charged us for the valve which was under warranty.
About a week later, the same issue returned. We attempted to contact Franklin Heating & Cooling multiple times. Our calls went unanswered, messages were not returned, and promised callbacks never occurred.
During the ice storm, the heating problems worsened. We began smelling smoke in rooms adjacent to the exterior unit. From outside, we observed soot covering the unit and the exhaust vent. When we finally reached the office, we were told they were booked out a week.
The same technician returned. At that visit, we were informed that the valve previously installed was for a natural gas system, not a propane (LP) system. The technician stated he did not realize the unit was propane, despite having checked the propane tank during the initial visit. He acknowledged this was his mistake and stated that the incorrect valve had damaged the heat exchanger and that it would need to be replaced under warranty. We were advised to turn the unit off due to safety concerns, leaving our home without heat during sub-freezing temperatures.
For approximately a week, our home remained around 50 degrees during one of the coldest periods of winter.
We repeatedly requested a manager call us and received no response. I eventually located and emailed a manager, Kristi Foster. She replied that she would investigate the matter. We were later informed that parts would arrive and repairs would be completed.
Before the repair visit, Ms. Foster called and stated that while installing the wrong valve was the company’s fault, the resulting heat exchanger damage was our responsibility because we did not call sooner—despite our documented attempts to do so. She stated they would not charge labor for replacing the heat exchanger (which was under warranty) and would partially refund the original bill which they charged for the valve that was under warranty, though the service call charge remained. The tone of this conversation was dismissive, condescending and unprofessional.
The same technician returned. My husband observed the work and noted multiple safety concerns, including the gas initially not being shut off. When questioned, the technician declined to answer.
Partway through the repair, the technician stated he was leaving for another job and suggested returning the following week, which would have left us without heat again.
He then claimed another component had “broken due to rust,” though it appeared to have been damaged during the repair.
After the part installed, the technician briefly started the unit from outside, stated it was working, and left. Once we attempted to operate the system from the thermostat, it failed to start. Our home filled with a smoke odor, and we discovered newly replaced air filters covered in soot. We were unable to reach Franklin Heating & Cooling again.
This experience raised serious safety concerns, including improper installation, lack of communication, and failure to adequately remediate soot and combustion issues. Given the potential risks associated with incorrect fuel components—such as heat exchanger damage, soot buildup, gas leaks, and carbon monoxide exposure—we feel this situation was handled with a lack of care and accountability. In response to the "owners" message below, my parts were under warranty. You didn't save me $3000 and you didn't fix my unit. I still had no heat.
