I have had Thunderbird Plumbing do flushing / descaling of my hot water heater, and have been very happy with them.

I had Jeff come to do a shower cartridge replacement and under sink water filter installation, and then booked him for the following week to replace my 20 year old water heater. Communication was great. Pricing was up front and reasonable; no extra charges or work “needed” popped up through either visit. He arrived on time for both jobs and quickly and competently completed the work.

After previously dealing with a big home service company that repeatedly tried to upsell me or rescheduled/failed to show, Thunderbird is a refreshing return to real service. I’ll be recommending them to any who ask.

I had a great experience working with Raymond. He’s super professional and knowledgeable. We’re doing a small bathroom remodel, and he installed new hardware, including a valve, in the shower. I would definitely recommend Thunderbird Plumbing.

Excellent service from Serge! Needed to have a few toilets reset after flooring work was done. Serge was able to troubleshoot some other plumbing issues around the house and make economical recommendations for repairs. Professional, prompt and trustworthy! I highly recommend.

We had an emergency situation requiring a plumber to be on-site same day. After calling several of the big name companies supposedly offering emergency plumbing services 7x24 only to be told nope, not until tomorrow (looking especially at *you* Abacus; maybe spend money on plumbers instead of hundreds of commercials) I spotted a recco for Clarke Kent and pinged them via their chat. They immediately agreed they could send someone out by late afternoon, which was acceptable. In reality someone showed up before noon, and it was a gentleman by the name of John Garlow who explored the situation, presented options, and quickly went about repairing the problems he found. The ancient design of our house and tiny working areas meant some creative solutions had to be found, and in one case he literally built something that would work so that the wall wouldn't have to be ripped out. Throughout the whole process, John was happy to answer questions and showed his dedication to providing quality work.

We are leaving the area (tomorrow, which is why this had to get done today), but we heartily recommend Clarke Kent to anyone in the Austin area needing plumbing work done.

We had a good experience with our technician, Daniel, who fixed our clogged shower drain quickly. He explained the work involved and was respectful to our staff.

I called early in the morning, and they came out right away and got our drain snaked immediately. Great service!

I made an appointment for a shower pipe leak that turned out to be a relatively simple job as the pipe just needed some new paste and tape. Unfortunately, while loosening the shower fixture the plumber was not paying enough attention and the majority of the fixture fell.

Although I struggled to understand how the plumber could not see that part of the fixture was not screwed into the pipe and would separate when being removed, I understand that accidents happen. However, after resuming the job, the plumber then ended up heavily scratching up the shower fixture when tightening it back up. The plumber also applied what seemed like a pretty amateur silicone caulk as the finishing touches. The caulk was very messy and was missing in some areas, also started cracking the next day so I ended up just removing it and doing it myself after the plumber had left.

After all was said and done, the plumber did admit fault for dropping the fixture and said the company would order the part that had been broken and come replace it. I was charged full price for the job even after what had happened. After several weeks of silence, I had to reach out to their customer service myself several times in order to get status updates and schedule a return appointment to replace the broken part. I also mentioned the damages to the wall and floor where the fixture had hit on its way down and they insured me it would be taken care of. They asked if I wanted a different plumber and I insisted on a different one several times, but I ended up with the same person as before.

The plumber came and replaced the part and quickly left with no mention of any other repairs. At this point I had completely lost trust and didn't bother following up with the company for anything further. I can understand accidents but there were plenty of moments where my experience could have been much better, and it was instead poor and frustrating. I would definitely not recommend Clarke Kent.

Sam did an amazing job with a leak repair under the kitchen sink. Fast, reliable, and quality work. Call these guys next time you need plumbing!

Really appreciate Daniel coming out on the day we called. Did a thorough job diagnosing our problem and checked out everything that could possibly go wrong. Will definitely use Clarke Kent again

I've had a good experience last week, but some things were still to be done so I could have a dishwasher installed. Someone came again today, however the guy was very rude. He didn't want to do the whole work and wanted the dishwasher installer to finish his work. I didn't agree to that, because the dishwasher was not going to agree on finishing his work. He had to do the work afterall, but he was not happy about it. In the end, I asked him a few questions about the register, to which his answer was so rude and not polite or professional at all.
