I purchased my home in 2019 and have 2 AC units. Lone Star Air Systems installed the original systems. I have kept them for my bi-annual summer and winter service. They have been very reliable in diagnosing problems beforehand and replacing faulty parts. I would recommend them without any reservations.

Lone Star was the original installer of my a/c and heating system 13 years ago. I have used them exclusively since then. They have always provided high quality service in a timely manner with fair pricing. They are the only company I would allow to service my system.
-
I would highly recommend them for all your A/C and heating needs.
Tammy is by far the most helpful and professional person I have dealt with.
She went above and beyond for us.
This company is one of the last companies out there that gives off a family owned and operated business. The techs and installers where friendly and fast.

Jose, the technician was excellent. Great communication skills, courteous, kept me informed and was professional in all aspects.
I have used Lone Star Air Systems for about 10 years now for the annual maintenance of my A/Cunit and would highly recommend them. From answering the phone, to the scheduling department, to the service department, etc. they go above and beyond as far as Customer Service.
A first class organization that always meets or exceeds my expectations! -
I had a great experience with Lone star Air. The ladies who answer the phone are friendly and professional and so are the techs who come out. They protected my carpet and even vacuumed up their mess. They wore shoe covers and respected my house. There was a slight issue after they left. I called back and they sent the tech back the same day and got it fixed correctly at 4:30 on a Friday. I’m so grateful they did not make me wait all weekend. Their customer service is excellent! The proposals are so clear of what is needed and why. I would definitely recommend this company! 5 stars.

UPDATE: Hired another AC company and they immediately found the problem — one of our air ducts wasn’t even sealed to the unit. All that cold air was blasting onto the unit, creating massive condensation. The first photo shows it just sitting there, completely unattached. If Lone Star Air had taken responsibility and fixed their work from the start, I wouldn’t be here warning others. They left us with the problem, and it cost us more time, money, and frustration than it ever should have.
Original review:
We closed on our BRAND NEW home on 12/2023 and have had AC condensation problems in the attic from day one. Over the past year, there have been multiple service calls for the same issue — rerouting airflow, “fixing” ductwork, sealing air leaks, cleaning coils ect.
None of the solutions worked so Instead of fixing the AC installation problem, the condensation is now worse — dripping into insulation and soaking our ceiling sheetrock. This is a clear installation defect that has been reported repeatedly since we moved in.
When I called about the worsening damage, the on-call AC tech told me he “couldn’t come out.” Now, they are telling us we have to pay out of pocket to fix the same ongoing problem — even though it was reported and worked on multiple times while the warranty was still in effect and never properly repaired.
If you are looking for a home builder or HVAC installer who stands behind their work, honors their warranty, and cares about customer service after closing — I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This experience has been extremely disappointing and has left us with costly repairs that should have been covered.
A properly installed AC should run at 74–76°F without issues. Instead, they blame my “low setting” for a serious condensation problem — even with water visibly dripping off the unit and ducts in the attic.
Bottom line: They clearly don’t stand by their products, try to shift the blame onto the homeowner, and act like all they care about is getting paid.
Let me end with saying the tech that came out was very nice and professional. And my review is not about the tech but about the company it's self. -
Mr Brian was really nice and knowledgeable about our AC system problems. I highly recommend Lone Star Air system with any HVAC system repairs

Brian (?) was an excellent and honest tech! I had ARS out a few hours before him and ARS basically told me my compressor was grounded and gave me a whole story about how I needed to replace the whole system for just a measly $23,000+. The system had gone into “thermal lockout”. The story was because Infinity parts could not be replaced because of the new Freon requirement and the compressor couldn’t be replaced by itself since the supplier wouldn’t sell it unless it was under warranty. Well, system is 17yrs old so that’s not happening. And all the young guy did was a quick check with the ohm meter. I asked if the fan could’ve caused the overheating but he told me I had to wait the 4 hrs for system to reset just so I could see if the fan was working or not.
Brian, a 20+ yr experience tech and much older than the ARS tech, came out and immediately saw the blown capacitor, replaced it, then disconnected and reconnected a plug on the board to reset the system manually at the unit, avoiding the 4hr wait! Brian also told me what pressures should show up on the low/high pressure lines before doing the check to see if I was low on Freon. Sure enough, pressures were in the right range. He then went into the attic to check the temperature on the air return duct and on the outflow duct and showed me the 40 deg+ difference. One of the most honest techs I’ve had, besides Bucky from Lonestar many, many years ago and who still works at Lonestar. I’ve only had one semi bad experience with Lonestar many years ago and that tech was run off shortly after from what I learned.
Summary, Lonestar might be a little more expensive compared to fly by night companies but SO FAR they have been a honest company not trying to rip customers off. Honesty is what has kept me coming back to Lonestar.
Keep being honest with your clients and you’ll stay in business. Tell Brian (?) many thanks for being honest and saving me $24k. Fix cost me <$450 and had cool house within an hour.
Side note: had I inspected the unit before ARS did, I would have seen the blown capacitor myself since I’ve done it a few times already and would have inspected the basics if both ARS and Lonestar told me I had to replace the entire system. ARS got a scathing review. -
Brian did a great job. He explained everything to me and made sure I was eligible for a warranty discount on a capacitor. We will continue with Lone Star for all our AC and heating needs. Excellent experience…I highly recommend Lone Star.
