Great company. Installed two new units a couple years back. Have always been very responsive in the event service is needed. Morgan has made a couple trips out and is a great guy. Highly recommend.

Kaleb Feeman was thorough, professional, and efficient. He explained the problem and the fix he proposed very well.
And he showed up an hour early!
Iggy was also great as they got us a same day appointment on a hot day when AC was out.

Kaleb was polite and efficient with my service today. He was also very patient with my questions and explained things to me in terms I could understand. Kaleb will be my choice for any service call in the future.

Josh was very professional with the details of my service. He explained as he went along. I appreciate him showing up on time as well.

A tech from another company told us that we had a leak in the evaporator coil. They wanted $6,000 to replace the unit. Josh checked the system out, put a leak detector die in the system, came back a week later and found no leak. The unit is working properly. I want to acknowledge the professional way Josh handled this. An honest man.

TLDR:
Used to be great (especially back when they were Enviromax), but my recent experience has been disappointing. Poor communication, delayed resolutions, and multiple missed opportunities to properly diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, I won’t be using them again.
Background:
I've been a loyal customer for around five years, since they were Enviromax. They installed my AC system and provided annual maintenance and repairs. Early experiences were excellent, but service quality has declined over time, culminating in a frustrating recent repair process.
March Maintenance Visit:
Routine yearly service was completed. A clogged drain pan was "cleared," but the issue reappeared the next day. I ended up clearing it myself, which should have been unnecessary.
Major Issue — Zone Not Cooling:
A few weeks ago, one zone stopped cooling. This turned out to be a failing damper that caused the coil to freeze, excessive condensation ("sweating"), and a completely flooded drain pan.
Appointment #1:
- They diagnosed the damper issue and cleared the drain pan again.
- However, they failed to recognize the signs of a frozen coil and the seriousness of the water buildup.
- They didn’t question why the drain pan clogged so quickly again, which was a missed diagnostic opportunity.
Appointment #2:
- Still no cooling the next day.
- They couldn’t come back until the following day (now Day 3 with no AC).
- They missed the scheduled window—tech was still at his first job even by 4 PM (ours was job #3).
- Rescheduled yet again, pushing us to Day 4 without cooling.
Appointment #3:
- After thawing the system overnight, tech confirmed the coil had been frozen.
- He "reset" the zones by fully opening them, which overcooled parts of the house.
- Promised to follow up, but never scheduled anything—we had to call the office to request the next visit.
Appointment #4:
- He returned and finally confirmed the failed damper as the root cause.
- Recalibrated the dampers properly.
- Unclear why this required a fourth visit instead of consolidating with the previous one.
Communication Issues:
- Constant delays or rescheduling with little to no proactive notice.
- Never knew they were on their way until they were at the house.
- We had to chase them down to find out arrival times.
- Phone support was cold and unempathetic—felt like we were inconveniencing them. Think of someone saying "Yeah, we're sorry" in the dryest most robotic voice possible.
Billing Frustration:
- Diagnose fee was supposed to be waived if repair was done (as stated on their website home page).
- Tech wasn't sure in person but agreed that he would ask and confirm before invoice was sent.
- It still showed up on the invoice.
- I had to call the office again to get it corrected.
Final Thoughts:
This situation required 4 separate visits, inconsistent communication, and a lot of manual follow-up on our end. The core issue (failing damper and frozen coil) could and should have been caught earlier.
I appreciate the early years of service, but this latest experience has made it clear the quality has dropped significantly. -
Kaleb is very professional and efficient. I will always use Wise Guys to take care of my AC.

Fantastic service - fast and professional. Set appointment within 12 hours to inspect A/C not blowing cool air and Josh, the service professional found, diagnosed and corrected the issue in one short visit. Recommend Wise Guys to anyone in need of fast, competent A/C work. Added as favorite in my phone for future use.

Josh was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and spent the time to listen to my concerns and answered my questions. What a nice change to have someone care about their job and their customer. Josh was delightful and I’m thankful he was my technician. Wish all sales, customer service, technicians etc. were like him.

I can not even give them a Star. We had a new HVAC system installed at five years ago by then Enviromax which later changed its name to Wise Guys.
The system worked great until wintertime came and the house would not heat properly. We called it in, and they found that the system was not wired properly. The second stage fan was not connected to the system. This was our first complaint not reported.
After about two years the condenser fan blade fell out of balance and was making a wobble sound. We called to have it checked out and they determined that the fan blade was indeed faulty and they would order a new one. I guess the part never came in because one year later the fan motor quit due to the imbalance running. This is our second complaint that we did not report.
Fast forward to June 27th. While in Michigan visiting family, we got a phone call at 6:00am that 2 of our ceilings had caved in due to water damage. A tech from Wise Guys came out that day and replaced the overflow switch and was supposed to blow out the lines which were improperly done. It took 24hrs for us to drive back from Michigan. By the time we got home the pan had filled back up, but the new switch had worked. The day after we got home a 3rd ceiling caved in.
We ended up having 2 different A/C companies come out and do an inspection as to why this happened. The reports are included in this email along with pictures. They basically said that the secondary drain pan was installed incorrectly.
We contacted James Wolfe (the owner of Wise Guys) he claimed because we didn’t have maintenance checks done, he’s not at fault. He didn’t care enough to come out and look at what we were talking about, and he also refused to give us his insurance information.
In further investigation of his company, we looked at other reviews from other customers. There were 2 other reviews of customers who had the same issue and same response from James Wolfe. One of the customers had maintenance checks done and their damage was not covered.
Our damage ended up costing us $6,000. -
Josh was so focused on the details and addressed our issue thoroughly. He shared information that no one has ever focused on, educated us on the issues and how to identify them in the future. He was not trying to rush through the job, he made sure the fixes were working before departing. Josh is trustworthy and clear with his communication. He was respectful in our home, proactively walking around rugs as to not track debris through the house.

Caleb did a great job working the issue with the thermostat and fixing that and then also checking the two units out making sure they were operating correctly. Caleb is very congenial and listened to what our issue Was before jumping into fixing it. Caleb is a great technician.

Josh and Kaleb were very professional and polite. They fixed our issues in a timely manner and reasonable price. Highly recommend Wise Guys!

Wise Guys came out and installed a soft start for our new A/C unit. Kaleb was on time, very friendly, and did a fantastic job! We've used Wise Guys for several years and we'll continue to use them.

I love the air filter that I get but what I don't like is paying so much money for delivery. Delivery should be free for as much as I have to pay for these filters
-
Wise Guys A/C came out the same day I called and checked the 2 heating systems I have and reset 1 of the thermostats that was incorrectly programmed. Kaleb was very professional and did a great job.

Kaleb is awesome. So happy about how quickly you could address my issues. I will post something on Facebook about how great you guys are.
