Plumbing reviews in El Paso, Texas

A & P Plumbing Unlimited gave us excellent service: price over the phone, eta of the arriving crew, time of completion. Everything was fast, polite and right. No "run-around", penny pinching or any other nonsense or BS. The job was done over the holidays, and I could not get any other company to come out or give me any pricing. From the time of a phone call to A & P Plumbing Unlimited to completing a job - 1 hour.
Thank you A & P Plumbing Unlimited.
Sincerely, T. -
Don't waste your money with this company.
We hired the company to fix a sewage line, we paid half the amount with the agreement. They said they completed the job but we later found the sewage line was still leaking. After repeated called no one came out to complete the job. After a month we decided to hire another plumber because we needed this job complete. We informed A&P Pluming that we would not be paying the remaining balance since the job was not complete. Now we received a collections notice, not only for the part that we told them we would not pay, but for the full amount. Now we need to settle the bill with collections. A complete waste of time and money. -
We just purchased our home and had an issue with the water heater. I called Roto Ruter, and the tech didn't do anything but tell us we needed a new water heater, wanting to charge $2400. I called A and P for a 2nd opinion. It turned out that pilot light was out. Art was very professional and didn't try to up sell us on anything. I had him come back the next day to install a new faucet in the kitchen. I will continue to do business with him and recommend him for your plumbing needs. Thank you Art.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The owner Adrian is very argumentative. He made a hole in the wall and is now saying that he will just cover it because he cannot find the leak. He was so RUDE. He made and appt and did not come and then said well we are too busy and basically blamed me the CLIENT instead of taking responsibility for irresponsible. I log into my account and he had marked the job as completed!! When I have a hole in my wall! I could not believe this, and this is the OWNER!! What owner does this to their client, unbelievable. PLEASE SEARCH FOR A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!!

We called A&P when we discovered our water heater was leaking. They said they couldn't fix it, but they could replace it. We bought another water heater and they replaced it. I noticed that there was a lingering gas smell, and called them a couple of days later. The owner gave me instructions to turn off the gas, and came over about an hour later to check if there was a leak. He came with an employee, and they discovered the leak and fixed it.
That's fine. What's not fine is his customer service. As he was checking for the leak, I thanked him for coming on a Friday evening and said something along the lines of "I got really worried when I smelled the gas." His response: "that's because all women do is complain." I was taken aback, and tried to diffuse the situation by stating "right, men complain too" while playfully gesturing to my husband. He responded, forcefully, "no, all women do is complain" and then tried to tell me about his personal life and his relationship with his wife. I walked off, leaving my husband to deal with him. I normally stick with effective contractors for as long as possible, but there is no way I'm hiring this company again. -
Horrible experience. Don't waste your time and money on this business. The manager is an angry, short tempered man who can't run a business. After speaking with him to fix a repair that one of his employees came to do, it was still leaking a couple days later. While speaking to him, he kept saying, "How women love to repeat themselves." or "This is why I don't have a novia because all they do is talk and talk". This was the boss.
Keep in mind we called them to take a look at the repair THEY DID and charged us more. Again don't waste your time with this company. -
Called the guy on behalf of a client. My client read the reviews and voiced concern to me. i called them back to let them know due to their reviews we would not be using them. He called back after he hung up to say that all plumbers have bad reviews and he would send me poor reviews of the company I did choose. I did not even have a chance to respond to him because he hung up on me. Hahaha very rude, short temper, and has no concept of fixing his attitude in order to gain new clients. Sir, I hope you read this and take it to heart. There is a reason you have 1 star reviews and I hope you check yourself because you are wrecking yourself. If there is an owner besides the gentleman who answered the phone, I suggest training or hiring a new employee.

I used them before and wrote a glowing review...It was a different man this time and a completely different experience. He was rude but, stupidly, I scheduled anyway and they never showed and didn't bother to call me that they would be late or not here at all. When I called and politely asked what happened, he showed no interest in taking care of my problem and no concern for customer service AT ALL... so I cancelled. Won't call again.

We called A & P Plumbing's Office and spoke to Lucy. She was very courteous and understood our sense of emergency and got us scheduled in a timely manner. We had a leak in our front yard from the water main. Art and Anthony took care of the issue very expediately and the cost was very reasonable. Art, we appreciate your continued service for 20 plus years....and hope for another 20 years, if the need arises. Thank you for another job well done!!!! The Hensley's

I was lucky to have had them over to cap a pipe that burst during the snow storm. They were supposed to finish replacing the pipe the following day. No show. I am up for second chance. Called the next day to reschedule and spoke to the owner. This man has a nasty temper. We set up a time. They called at 1p saying they would be by within the hour. It is now 340p and nobody has arrived. I called and canceled. I went into to read the reviews only to find such negative remarks. Please avoid this company at all cost. They act like they are doing you a favor. Sorry Art your company sucks.

Our disposal was not working properly, so I called our home warranty. This was the provider that they dispatched, so we had no other options. The warranty company stated to wait 48 hours to hear back, and call then. After 48 hours of not hearing from A and P, I called them. The person that I spoke to said that they were already on the way, without ever having told us! We were not at home, and had to leave where we were to make it in time. The fix seemed relatively simple, so we asked multiple times what was wrong with the disposal. He refused to tell us and would only say “$75 worth,” as our portion from the home warranty is $75. I gave two stars because the disposal does work now, but I would not recommend due to the lack of professionalism.

Technician said our insurance would not cover requested service. The problem was clearly defined in the work order, so I wonder why they sent someone out in the first place, or at least call to let us know. Then, he said he'd do the work for $89 plus the $75 deductible. Wait a minute. Why do you need the deductible if the insurance doesn't cover it. Red flags were popping up, so I declined. Then, he wanted me to sign an invoice for his service fee. I laughed...and declined. This guy was a joke.

Arturo, the owner, does NOT listen well at all, EVEN when HE asks a question he will NOT wait for an answer, but will just keep on talking - no periods at the end of his sentences. Should you attempt to respond, he will instantly begin to speak over you. Difficult to have a simple conversation with him, as he does digress repeatedly and has issues focusing, if you listen to him long enough. Highly unprofessional, rude, emotional, and difficult to deal with. A & P Plumbing will definitely waste your time, and possibly your money. A review of this company's past poor performance, AFTER I had spoken to Arturo, the owner, only further substantiated this review to WARN others, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or money. You may definitely live to regret it.

Had a plumbing emergency on a playoff football Sunday that couldn't wait until Monday. A & P showed up within one hour, fixed the problem @ the main line and the cost was very reasonable. I'm a satisfied customer.

This company was referred to us by a home warranty. He wanted $400 on top of what the warranty paid him. He then went on to brag about how he charges $1600.00 minimum for water heater swaps and does 10 per week. He is rude has not completed the job in 10 days.

This company was assigned to us by our home warranty company. They did a no call, no show. Super unprofessional.

I just hired this man (Art) to unclogg my drain and replace the elbow trap. Told him I have done this kind of maintenance before myself but dont have the time. Told him the the augur head he attached to the snake looked too large for the pipe and was worried it could damage the pipe. He was annoyed and overly self-assured stating he had 50yrs. experience claimed he went to Utep for plumbing then engineering etc. Got into the weeds of psycho babble, obscure justifications, and incoherent santeria stuff. Totally, dismissed my concerns. When he was done. He said he cleared the clog but that if I saw water leaking then I probably had a cracked line somewhere. Charged me $220.00. WELL...I went to wash dishes and sure enough my line was leaking onto the kitchen floor. Called another company out, and when they opened the trap to my pipe line. There it was. He broke my line with the snake job he did. It was right at the entrance of the opening. So. He had to have known what he did when he left. Told me I might need to reroute my line for additional $400-500 if I saw leaking. Told me to call him back if that happened. Now the job is gonna cost me tripple to get it done right. Based on all the reviews here, which I wish I had seen before calling this guy, there is likely no chance of getting compensation. He seemed mentally unstable, looked unkept like he is living out of a van, and was too easily aggitated. The reviews here could be used in a class action lawsuit against him, but I doubt he has the funds to reimburse a parking meter. Of anyone knows this man personally, they need to get him help. The photo shows he busted the inside of the line exposing the concrete wall behind the pipe. FYI. Went w/ Plumbing Doctors instead and they did the job and did right, price was fair and they were honest enough to point out the lie I was told about "redirecting my line."

Arturo has been extremely difficult due to his machismo attitude. I am a single woman caring for my 92 year old grandmother and need help getting the heater started. This man came to my home and explained clearly what need to be fixed. He felt the need to talk politics as if he knew me and assumed that we shared the same views (we do not). This was the day after the election and an obvious conversation everywhere you turned so I let it go for a bit. He then took it to another level and started listening to a political podcast on speaker. I finally made a comment that he didn't like and continued. He then received a call from his wife on speaker. The conversation was still political on his part. She was actually calling to discuss his sister's funeral plans and he just kept on. By the time he was done I literally told him to get out of my house. Fast forward a few weeks I realize the heater is turning on and off by itself which was precisely what he had "fixed". I finally got around to calling him and he gave me attitude saying that it had been over two months so he could do anything. When I reminded him of the date he had come he raised his voice saying no to interrupt him I said the only reason I did interrupt was because he was exaggerating the time to get out of any warranty. I finally got tired of going in circles and hung up.

Shoddy work, makes appts and doesn't show...was supposed to replace a 3/4 inch pipe to my outside spikot and changed everything to a 1/2 in pipe. Took the skikot with the evaporative cooler valve and replaced it with a boiler spikot and when I complained he came and poked a hole in the new pipe and put a cheap saddle clamp with the rubber already dry rotting. Messed up my bathroom sink and replaced the pvc pipe with a plastic sleeve that doesn't fit the pipe...

Horrible customer service. Made appointment and didn’t show. Decided to give a chance. He came and submitted the wrong report to the insurance and then took another 5 days to submit the right one. He wanted to charge and extra $400 just for a hose on my water heater. He gave me bad attitude, very hard to get a hold of and when I finally got a hold of him he gave me attitude and hung up on me. Don’t hire them. I still don’t have hot water. He was sent my my home warranty.

Came out and fixed the problem. A week later the same problem happened and when I called he scolded me saying it was my fault. Very rude saying he’s been doing this 53 yrs and he knows better. Don’t call this company
