Appliance Repair reviews in Fort Worth, Texas

Problem with water accumulating below the pull out tray. Tech quoted a price of $350 to replace a defrost sensor. Went to vehicle and brought back a soldering iron and 2 sensors that both appeared to be used. I told him that those were used. He said they were new. I chose to pay them the $95 service fee and file a fraud claim with my CC company. I will never use this company again. Another company tech came out and fixed the problem by unstopping the defrost drain line. No parts needed.

This company uses subcontractors to do their work. Once the work was done they didn't hurry to come fix the problem when it wasn't done satisfactorily. We monitored the freezer after the repair, but no one came. I was told "I'll come during my free time", whenever that is!! Paid for a temp sensor and fan motor. Still not freezing ice and ice cream melted. NOT happy with their work at all! Terrible.

Fortunately I only paid the $75 service fee. They claimed the part that needed to be replaced was $225, I found it online for $65. Labor was going to be $200. We bought a new washing machine for $500 from Costco instead.

Avoid this company. You'll be overcharged and you have no idea who you're actually dealing with. The repair person (subcontractor) that came out was courteous, fixed the problem and quick. But this review is not for the repair person, it's for this business. First of all - I didn't call APL for a repair. I called a different local number with a website appearing to be a LOCAL appliance repair COMPANY (false). The repair person is local, but the company I called is just forwarding service calls to APL or other vendors who are again subbing out the work to an individual tech, and you have no idea if they are licensed, background checked etc. Then the price - astronomical for the work done. They're charging the equivalent of $400 per our for appliance work. And again, you don't even know if you're getting a licensed, insured, and screened person coming to your home. Avoid booking with APL. Will do my homework next time.

I had issues with the service and I contacted the office, spoke to the owner and he made things right! Ask for the owner and give him a chance to fix things if you are not satisfied with the service you received.

Very poor customer service even hung up on me

I have used Advantage Appliance for all my repairs. They have never disappointed.

My Maytag was not spinning and they came and and got it up and running the same day not to mention at a good price ooo sweet mama

You should be ashamed, charging $300 for a 10 minute replacement of a $120 part. I am a Vietnam combat veteran, over 80. I got no veteran’s discount.

Extremely pleased. Responsive. Fair priced. Great communication and on time appointments. Thanks to Brandon for such a positive experience and for making everything work again!

Should have read the earlier reviews about being ripped off.
The technician misdiagnosed the issue as being a faulty compressor without even checking the relays, and when it turned out to be the relay starter. -
Tech was 2 hours late, past the time frame they gave us. Said he was in route at 3:30 (which was almost at the end of our time window), 2 hours later, at 5:30 we texted him, and he said he was at someone else's house about to leave. Spent literally 2 minutes "fixing" the problem and charged us $125. Did not apologize for being late. He was extremely rude and acted like he did not want to be here. Even after I later confronted him about being 2 hours late, he STILL refused to apologize and left my house without saying thank you, goodbye, or I'm sorry for being so late. I have a feeling he was out playing instead of working today, when he was supposed to be at our house. I had to rearrange my schedule and my day to be here during the 2 hour time window, and the least he could do is apologize and show some respect to his customer. We will NEVER use this company again.

Punctual and professional. Recommended to us through another company. They did a wonderful job. My refrigerator and dishwasher are working well. I do recommend them, as I am highly pleased with their work.

We have a Kitchenaid Refrigerator that needed repair. Brandon called to verify he could arrive early and was extremely knowledgeable on the repair needed. Would highly recommend their services.

Prompt, fast, and courteous professional service. I was contacted by the tech before my scheduled appointment with an ETA, and the company followed up immediately to ensure my washer was fixed. I will definitely use their services again, and recommend them to anyone else in need of repair work. Thank you again!

3 visits and dishwasher still doesn't work. I am out money and no repair has been completed. I have decided to not waste anymore of my time on a repair man that clearly does not know what he is doing. When I texted the help line to report him, he is the help line person that responded so not sure if he is the only one in this company or not but if you read reviews , this is not a company that you need to use.

DO NOT CALL THEM... Had my refrigerator repaired by them. They damaged my refrigerator, icemaker unit will not fit in opening. Beware they don't care about your appliance just get in and get r done. Get the money and run. Hope the home owner doesn't see the damage. Oh the Owner/manager will call you and talk to you. Very unresponsive.

Richard was great, answered my questions over the phone before I had even scheduled an appointment. He was on time and exactly the problem he thought it was over the phone was the issue I was having with my fridge! He came out and in 20 minutes or less the repair was done. Would 100% recommend him!

Advantage Appliance came out to fix our AC when we moved into our home. The tech was fast and efficient and the price was reasonable. We’ll be having them come out to install new appliances in a few weeks. Would recommend!

Had the displeasure of using the Houston based company that's under a different name - Spring Appliance Repair men. Overpriced. The repair couldn't be completed at the time of service because the tech broke the part during install. Set a return time for morning at 9a, tech texted after the appointment time that he was waiting to receive the part, it should arrive by noon. Instead it was 2p. Still had to pay the overpriced charge after being inconvenienced. Warranty is only for 90 days on both parts and labor. The charge for the part ($120) was triple the consumer cost ($40) For a 10 minute job the labor was also overpriced ($200). Had to call and request my invoice receipt that doesn't break down the charges between parts and labor. I only know the parts cost because I asked the tech how much was the part. RIP off company that I will NEVER use again or refer.
