Appliance Repair reviews in Fort Worth, Texas
-
I bought two refrigerators and a washer dryer from this appliance resale store in December. Not only did the delivery men tear two holes in the vinyl of my kitchen floor, I had to find them. The largest was over a foot long, beneath the appliance. The second was four inches in the middle of the floor and impossible to disguise. When I called, I was asked what I wanted them to do and said, fix the problem, the counter comment was they have good hearts, I gave you a discount (unasked for and because he screwed up the original purchase). That refrigerator is now at the dump. It was replaced this week after 9 weeks and one repair with a new unit. Never never never again will I buy here, refer here, or praise this business. He deliverymen were dishonest vandals. The business did not resolve the damage, their product was defective and my satisfaction level is below a 1-5 rating system, 5 being high.

Mr. Helio, is a wonderful Appliance Repair Service Technician. Very prompt, professional, straight to the point, quickly found the problem and quickly fixed the problem when he came back. Mr. Helio was dispatched to me on a Friday, found the problem, the part was ordered and came back Monday to service my Kenmore. No complaints here. Loved my service

UPDATE: looks like they’ll still say what they need to whether there’s truth behind it or not. Nothing done as promised with response.
Bad customer service. Only concern for themselves and their money not yours. Had to call from a different number after calling with a complaint (looking for a resolution) to get someone to even answer. When no resolution was offered I expressed that I had a right to leave a review with my problem and the manager accused me of trying to sabotage his business. More worried about himself and not fixing the problem.
What happened:
I called them out and agreed to pay the service fee to diagnose my issue with my dryer leaving stains. They said it was not what I thought it was but it was another part. I kept asking why it was not the part that I thought it was and they said it is because the part I wanted to get replaced can't be replaced (Because I believed that I got the service, but it can be replaced and has been with another company). One day they showed up without even calling to fix it and luckily I was home. After paying more than $250 the stains still appeared. I called to speak with a manager and my message was never given to the manager as promised. It took 3 calls and a 5 days to get ahold of a manager... because after the first call to complain my number would go directly to voicemail- I ended up having to call from another number to reach someone. When I finally got ahold of a manager he said he works hard for his money (therefore offering no financial resolution even for the labor fee that I asked for refunded- I didn't even ask for the part for free). His solution was to come fix what I originally asked for but for a cost still. I told him it was 1) too late because they would not answer my call and someone else is fixing it 2) they said it was not a part they could replace when they first came out, how could they now replace it? and 3) He told me that there were 2 issues from the beginning and that the one they fixed had to be solved anyways (after the fact- they did not address it at at when diagnosing). I didn't need that fixed now if it did not stop the stains, I needed the issue I called about fixed. Now to solve both is going to be as much as a new dryer. -
Paid for a repair on oven from electrical surge. Paid $75 for diagnosis. Guy said the spark board needed replacement for $300-$400 and did not guarantee that would fix it and instead suggested I buy a new oven. His diagnosis was completely wrong. He originally said the main control board was bad but I told him I already replaced it, in which he then tested and agreed it did not need replacement and gave me a full story of why not to diy. After he left, I ran the self diagnosis which he did not do. Come to find out, I just needed to replace the thermostat sensor which is what the self diagnosis said. The self diagnosis took 1 minute for me to run, 3 minutes to replace the thermostat, and the thermostat cost me $10. These guys don’t know what they are doing.

I have been a customer of Abby Appliance for over 10 years. They sell excellent products and offer repair and delivery. The crew delivered my fridge on time and no problems during set up. They were careful and everything was clean. I appreciate their attention to excellence.

Had this company come out to figure out why my dishwasher wasn't working. Sandoval came out pressed buttons on it checked the breaker then told me it was a fried control board that would cost 450 to replace. Didn't actually check anything just pressed the buttons that weren't working and looked at my breaker box. Whole visit was maybe 10 minutes. Asked if he could check to ensure it's even getting power he said no need it is a super common issue. Turns out that wasn't the actual issue.
I will never be using this company again and recommend you steer clear as well. -
I called Abby Appliance Repair to fix my Bosch dishwasher. A serviceman, Sandoval came the same day and said the Eo7 error code required that the fan dryer part needed to be replaced. They would order it and install it in two days for $365. Sandoval indeed returned with a part in two days but said that he needed to take the dishwasher to the shop to repair it. I spoke to his boss who concurred saying the repair is too difficult to perform in my home. When I looked them up on line, I realized they run a used appliance business and my dishwasher, which cosmetically is perfect would be a welcome addition to their show room. I would not let them take the dishwasher and they refunded $265, charging me the $99 service call. Beware of this business.

Don't do business with them. I bought used washer and dryer from them. The dryer was replaced 3 times. After final replacement, the timer never would shut off the dryer. I was so tired of calling for repairs that I just decided to live with it. Here we are 4 months later and now the dryer no longer spins. What a waste of $600!! He wants me to pay for a repair, including $85 to look at it. Keeping in mind, I let them have my old working appliances. I was fooled by the positive reviews. Please go somewhere else. I just took the dryer apart and the belt is broken. We've only had it for 6 months and 3 of those months included 5 service calls. I just saved myself $85 and I guarantee you these fraudsters that sell JUNK will never get another penny from me or anyone I know!

Did a search for grill repair. Joe called me within 5 minutes. We hadn’t decided what we were doing, so I told him I’d call him back. He called me about a week later and scheduled an appointment. He was punctual, although rather gruff. He looked at our grill and told me what it needed. He said he would check with the mfg. and get a price on the parts and call me the next day. I’ve tried to reach out to him, he doesn’t answer and he hasn’t returned any of my
calls. Would not recommend him for anything!! -
Technician was very courteous, professional and diagnosed our problem correctly. He had our dryer back to producing heat in about 30 minutes. He answered all of my questions and didn't mind that I watched the installation process to see if it was something I could do in the future. Pricing was also very reasonable. Would highly recommend their services!

We went in there looking for a new dryer. He had a used one with a 90-day warranty. From the time I brought it home to the 2 fixes I needed (within reason) his professionalism was on point. I would recommend this shop over any shop or appliance store that I have been too. He has new and used items like washer/dryer combos or sep and refrigerators. He is very friendly and very honest. His shop may be small but his business etiquette is great. Keep up the great work!

Don’t not trust these people even if they say the milk is white don’t trust them at all

I bought a washer and dryer today and they are as good as the ones in Lowe's or Homedepot but half the price. They have a good selection of items and I will for sure come back and buy more items.

As a new homeowner with appliance issues (a dryer). This is my first time needing help and I’m doing what I think it’s right, calling a local service company to see if they can help me. I call and I explain that my dryer is not drying and I think it’s the heating element. I ask a simple question, I asked about how much does it cost to get that fixed? The person on the phone states, “normally we don’t talk like this on the phone and tell you a price without us knowing what is happening with the part giving you a price because if I need a second person with me, the price goes us, if it’s a stackable dryer and I need to bring it down, the price goes us, so you can’t call and expect for a price that can change”. How disrespectful is that answer?? Very much so, as a first time calling and asking for a price and not knowing much about appliances like most customers, I don’t appreciate the way that person (male voice) talked to me on the phone. If he needs to see the appliance before a true price can be giving. Just tell me, say hey sir, we will need to come see it first and we can go front there but the price ranges from this $ to $. I don’t appreciate how they talked to me when I asked a simple question and I need help. If you don’t like to help don’t help or say you are fully booked. Now how do you want me to trust you? How do you want customers to trust you if that’s the first interaction you have with me or other customers?

Stay very far away from these people. I called them for issues with my dish washer, specifically the heating element has gone bad. Service man shows up and tells me the filters just need cleaning. He then cleans the filters and tells me to call him back if the issue still keeps happening which it does, still getting a heating element error code and no heat is being used in the dish washer so mold is starting to develop inside of it. Called them back, told me they would come out and fix it on Tuesday a whole 2 weeks after the initial repair visit, no one showed up. Called again on Wednesday and scheduled a visit for Thursday, no one showed up. Called again today on Friday 12/5/2025, busy signal or my number is blocked. Will be reporting them to the Office of the Attorney General for taking my money and not performing services that they agreed to as well as the Better Business Bureau.

Bought from them because they had good reviews but after buying relise the mistake I made . First one i pick up was un tested and not working. He said he would fix it . Piddles around for 3 or so days not showing up . Then shows up what I thought was to fix but actually drop off another unit. I had a coil top and they drop off a scratched up glass top that looks horrible. Had they said they were gonna bring new one I would or requested coil. But said was bringing a part to fix. Now wants me to bring back one THEY brought out. Maby im wrong for expecting communication and them makining it right. I went there in the first place to pick up. I can go back every 3 days and exchange their product . Not gonna deal with these people anymore bad buissness shady people . Will be going else where. Good luck if You use them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I used this company for the first time on a 3 door cooler that wasn't cooling. The tech that came out, Tavish, was super friendly and communicate very well. My issue it truly not with him, my issue is completely with the company itself and it's billing policies. You see, the tech came out to find that the cooler had a bad relay. He had a relay, but after contacting the warehouse, they determined that it was the wrong part. He went to get the correct relay, installed it and the cooler was up and running. With that being known, here is where my billing started. Before Tavish, the tech left. I researched the relay (Amazon) and found that the cost was only $16.00. I figured that I would be billed fairly and agreed for him to go get the part. Well, they billed me $43.75 plus, 2.75 hrs drive time to get the part. Not to mention the truck fee of $75.00. They bill you $115/hr for drive time. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS so you won't get the same shock I did when I received my invoice. I did make contact with their company and spoke with Jessi. She did adjust the bill VERY SLIGHTLY, and said she was sorry, but that was their billing policies and that was all she could do. So you know, she lowered the part to $35 and drive time to 2 hrs. Not much of a break, but some is better than none. I am sure I can find a more customer friendly business out there that won't take advantage of a new customer.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET CONSTANT PROBLEMS AND SPEND MONEY ON HIRING OTHERS TO FIX THEIR SHODDY WORK. They did the installation of refrigeration for our new facility and within 2 months we had coolers and freezers breaking down. They refused to pay for $35K we had to spend to correct problems on a brand-new building. Our blast chiller caught on fire within the first 15 months of operation. We have had to have technicians since we opened our doors to work on the system every few months, but 24 months into operation and the problems have never stopped. We finally had to hire a new company to come in and service our entire facility to fix the problems and do the job that D Commercial was clearly not capable of doing. I had discussions with them prior to making this review and since they don't want to do the right thing and fix the situation, I wanted to warn others from making the mistake of using them because it gets really expensive!
