TL;DR - Well-intentioned company but needs to invest in scheduling/texting software for appointments. Need to have dispatching software that includes detailed work-order notes. I never used this company. If the owner contacts me to acknowledge this feedback, then I will delete this review.

This company needs to invest in appointment scheduling software and/or texting software. For starters, my experience trying to schedule resulted in playing phone tag. It wasn't until the office lady Elizabeth gave me her personal cell phone that was I able to connect... while I was speaking with her, the office phone rang twice and, to her credit, she answered both calls and asked them to wait on hold. She blocked out a 4-hour window (8am to 12). Less than ideal, but ok.

On the day of the scheduled service, at 10 am, a different number callsme. (I had the office number saved in my phone and Elizabeth's cell... but did not recognize the number and did not answer). I called back at 11 and they had already re-routed a technician to another home.

I spoke with a Mark on the phone, who proceeded to ask me what work I needed to do and then tell me it could not be done by them. This is odd because I explained everything to Elizabeth earlier when I scheduled the appointment.

I wanted the shower faucet replaced. I purchased three different types in hopes one would match. Mark explained that light demolition (tile removal) was needed and they don't do that. This is frustrating because i explained the project up-front with Elizabeth when i scheduled.

To his credit, Mark asked me to send pictures and said he would assess. I sent pictures. He never responded. I asked via text "please confirm" and he called me back 10 min later and asked me "what exactly do i need to confirm?" i explained I sent him pictures so he could make an assessment. We talked briefly and then call ended abruptly... I was a tad rude because i was frustrated at this point for the poor communication. Even when i sent text messages, my phone would show them as "read" and there would be no response.

So, I'm not sure if i am qualified to give this review since i never used this company. I will say this company came highly recommended by a friend.

Lastly, i sent Mark a follow-up text, asking if he could tell me the name of the specialty hardware store i could check out for the the hardware i may need... 30min later and no response. I guess they are too busy to chase small plumbing jobs.

The guys from Kenny’s were just awesome. I called them today after having a horrible experience with another company that wanted to charge me $4000 to replace all the piping in my front yard. I called these guys for a second opinion. They showed up within a few hours and had my problem fixed within an hour or so for just a few hundred bucks. Can’t recommend them highly enough. A+ work and great customer experience. Will definitely all again when another problem comes up.

Wow, what an awesome experience CJ and Ray were wonderful. We had a backed up toilet and sewer line, they went above and beyond to fix the problem. They were upfront and honest. The response time was unbelievably fast. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

I was really impressed with the customer service and the scheduling of the appointment. Ken came out the day before and give me the price and told me it would be two days later before he had an opening. I got a call the next day and a job canceled and they had an opening. The guys who did the job came in and quickly as much as possible got the job done and kept me up-to-date with all they were doing and did a great job. I would recommend them again, and will definitely use them if I need more work done in the future myself.

We booked with Mother Modern as first time home buyers and needed emergency shutoff valves replaced throughout our house as it hadn’t been updated since it was built. Grant showed up on time, was knowledgeable and thorough with his initial inspection and attentive to our budget when we talked about the project and the house. We will definitely be using them again!

Im looking to get a water softener installed. Willy Dayton from Modern Mother Plumbing helped me understand all the goes into getting a water softener. He took the time to inspect the plumbing in my home and then suggested various ways we could have the softener installed. Willy was extremely professional, patient and answered all my questions.

I would absolutely recommend him for any plumbing work.

Jesse was very professional. He took before and after pictures and explained the problem and what he did to repair it. He was personable and very knowledgeable and we highly recommend him for any plumbing needs.

My wife had reached out to this company unbeknownst to me. I didn’t know anything about them, didn’t look them up. When Mr. Willy arrived, he was already radiating with helpfulness. The questions that he asked were as honest as he could be, if I didn’t understand them, he fully broke it down for me and guided me to the answer I was looking for without condescending or with an attitude of not wanting to explain like other companies have shown. After the measurements were taken, and the estimates were given. The fair prices that were shown blew my mind, the discounts they offer are ones that you want to see when you search for a plumber company. Mother Modern Plumbing is a service you would call first before anyone else.

Grant was amazing. Efficient, professional, repaired everything perfectly. I would highly recommend this company for any type of plumbing issues you may have in your home top-notch company.

Communication was great before the appointment. The technician was polite. The issue I have is the outrageous pricing. I sent them to a tenant occupied property that just needed a float valve changed. It’s a $15 part and takes about 30 minutes to change. The charge charged me $535. The technician even verified this the price of the part and the labor involved. Because I’m not local, and I was already on the hook for the trip charge, I didn’t have a lot of options. I was told that the manager would call me to discuss, but I never heard from him.

Great customer service and excellent communication. Josh coordinated the project and kept us informed at all times. Jerry and Mario installed a new hot water heater and ran a new water line with minimal disruption and cleaned everything up when done.
They do excellent work and I would recommend them.

Josh was able to locate 3 leaks that other plumbers missed. He also made me aware of another issue that was about to become a problem. Unfortunately the rates to repair the leaks were substantially higher than the competition so we didn’t have him perform the repairs. I feel confident that he would have done a great job. Highly recommend for leak detection

Dillon from mother, modern plumbing did a great job for us today. He is a master plumber, and is very friendly and conversant. He did a couple of extra things to help me and I really appreciated that. He removed the faucet set for us and gave us Suggestions on manufacturers with the best warranty in reputations. We live in Heritage homeowners edition, and Keller Texas.

Marcus was very helpful talking through all the different elements with us, and the possible problems that can occur because of them. Our tech Jeremy was great as well. We very much appreciate his patience and professionalism when the job took longer than expected due to a water meter leak. We got two toilets repaired, as well as a leaky yard spigot. While we were at it, we figured we may as well add some additional valves/loops as suggested by our purchase inspection, as well as reduce the pressure coming from the meter and add a whole home shutoff. All in all came out to around $3500.

Mother Modern Plumbing did a fantastic job on an inop garbage disposal and a clogged drain line. Great work by Tradesman Plumber Grant B as the resolution required a tenacious focus and a sense of seeing things through to a SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION! Grant took the time to explain how the drain lines were all connected and what he determined to be the root cause. All drain lines clear now with great drain vortex!
