I wouldn’t recommend Doctors Appliance (Maxey Rd.) merely because of the customer service experience that I had. I requested a service call on 7/5. They came out within a few hours. They invoiced me for $358 to repair my microwave, which seemed to be pretty expensive to me but I was ok with paying. I paid 1/2 of the invoice (same day) was told it would take a few days for the part to come in. Hurricane Beryl hit on 7/8, so of course I didn’t expect for them to come out that week. Faith called me a couple of times to inform me of problems with the parts that were delivered or delayed shipping. Fast forward they finally called me on 8/2 to tell the part was in & if I’d like to schedule the repair. I informed them that I requested a refund (due to it taking almost 1 month for them come out for repairs) 2 days prior using their customer service email listed on their site but I was told that email was not monitored by anyone. The young lady spoke with her supervisor (Bri) & was told no refund could be given nor could there be a discount applied if I moved forward with the repairs. I requested to speak with the supervisor (Bri) but she was in a meeting & a message would be given to her to call me.I never received a call from her. Later that night a young man called me, (Jermaine) who stated he was the owner. He attempted to rectify the issue but wasn’t successful. It wasn’t successful because he spent most of his time breaking down the details of the invoice “crunching numbers” as he stated to me. Which I really wasn’t interested in because he appeared to only be interested in making $$ versus salvaging the relationship with an unsatisfied customer. I was willing to pay for the parts ($251) but he was not willing to negotiate with that. So he decided that he could only refund $76 of the $175 that I paid.

I have been in the customer service recovery industry for decades & I know there are times when a company may have to take a loss to satisfy a customer. This just was not this company’s agenda & therefore I chose not to do business with them.

8/26/24 Update:
I received a call from Jermaine on 8/12/24. He was calling to rectify the situation because he read my posted review. He offered to come out to fix my microwave and also requested that I remove my review of his company because “it was bad for his business “. I agreed that I would remove my review but let him know that I was leaving the country for a couple of weeks that evening and would call him to set up a time to come out upon my return and he agreed. Upon my return (8/22) I called his office, let the receptionist know who I was & that I was returning Jermaine’s call. She placed me on hold (for 4 minutes) & came back to the line to let me know that Jermaine would have to call me back. As of today (8/26) I have yet to receive a call back.

My experience with Doctor Appliance was great. I called them and scheduled an appointment the same day to get my dryer looked at. They worked around my schedule so I wouldn’t have to miss work. The tech they sent Jermaine was awesome, he diagnosed the problem and got the part ordered on the spot. It was late in the day but he said he will be by the next to repair it. When he arrived he went straight to work and got us going in less than an hour. He also gave us a few tips to maintain our dryer. Will definitely call them again if I need an appliance repaired.

Amazing service! He was fast and he didn't mind my loud children. I got my fridge, washer, and dryer diagnosed and fixed right in time for the holidays! And whoever is answering the phones, may God forever bless you because you are so nice in an industry where you don't have to be.

I can’t share enough about the great experience we had with Jermaine. From the time he arrived and diagnosed the problem to the time he came back to finished installation, Jermaine was efficient and professional. He instantly diagnosed the issue with our ice maker, found the best quality part which was the most affordable solution, and secured the part for his return. I called Appliance Pros and you receptionist called me and I explained my problem with my refrigerator and she made an appointment the same afternoon and explained Jermaine will be their service person coming between 12-2 PM. Jermaine was on time,introduced himself and gave me a card,he came in I explained what was happening and what was done before. Jermaine showed me what was fixed before and what I needed which was a thermostat and why,he stated he could order the part as he didn’t have one nor did the office he was in contact with your office,part was ordered. Your office called me to let me know the part was ordered and she would call when it arrived. She is very pleasant and lovely.Jermaine is a complete gentleman, explained everything and was very thorough with his process and just a sweet and very congenial hound man.He is a keeper for your business. I am very pleased with your company and will recommend Doctor Appliance

We called after work hours and had a courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient repair man (Rakim) out next morning. He brought all of the parts he might need, but only replaced the small, inexpensive part that was causing the problem. We appreciate the honesty!! One year warranty on parts and labor.
We will definitely use this service, again.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE from beginning to end. Bri promptly and professionally answered my call and techs, Jermaine and Josh, were at my home almost immediately to diagnose cause of issues I’ve been having with ALL my major kitchen appliances. The fridge and oven only needed service but the dishwasher required a new part, which they had in stock!! I don’t know why I waited so long. Jermaine was the technician who came out to the house and was able to figure out the problem fairly quickly! Very knowledgeable about his job. My son referred me to Doctor Appliance, and I'm so happy he did. I received the best "care" imaginable. First, I called on a Friday morning and received same day service; no wait time!!! Dr. Jermaine 😀, was very professional with the utmost respect for me and my home. He was courteous and attentive and highly skilled. My dishwasher wouldn't operate, no power. Jermaine detected that it wasn't a power issue but a bad board. It was late evening and he had to order a new board. So he came back Monday, installed the new board and was done in 45 minutes. And the dishwasher was working when he left. Service was EXCELLENT and affordable. I highly recommend Dr. Appliance!!!

Needed service on my SpeedQueen dryer that was still under warranty. Randomly chose them off the list of authorized service providers on the SpeedQueen website. Gave them a call on Tuesday & had my dryer repaired on Thursday.
I am so pleased & thankful for the prompt service they provided, and thankful the technician had the part my dryer needed with him. Everyone I interacted with, from the receptionist to the service technician, were courteous & professional.
