I recommend this company. The installation guys were friendly and answered our questions. They put down tarps, very clean, even swept up! They worked fast and cleaned up.

I was told they would come out and inspect my AC, and clean my dryer vents. After 20 minutes I was told nothing needs to be done. As well as then I was told they don’t do dryer vent cleaning. Although the customer service person said they would. So I overpaid for under services.

Update 09/02/2025:

Turns out Split System has a Refrigerant leak diagnosed by Muaricio. He promised to get this fixed when he came to my location Sunday Aug 24, 2025 as soon as possible. Now it is Sept 02 and I have no contact from Excel Air. The Split System is under warranty and just needs to be repaired or replaced. Bringing down star rating at this time to 1 for bad service.

Thank you Jorge Ontiveros for finding the issue with the Split AC system. Which was low on refrigerant. The AC now is cooling like it was new. Great job Excel Air.

They said price was 150 USD for the service, when the technician arrived I eas informed it was 150 per unit, which is overpriced.

I highly recommend Excel Air. They recently installed a new Trane air conditioner in my home. The service was excellent from start to finish. Jorge was professional, knowledgeable, provided a fair estimate, and quick installation.

In this line of business where most contractors are unnecessarily expensive and unethical, but it was such a pleasant experience to deal with a Company like Excel Air.

Mauricio, the owner of the company came to my place, on a Sunday, to give me a quote when most companies either wanted to charge for providing a quote or gave an overinflated quote. He worked with me on the pricing and me a compelling quote beating everyone by a good amount. Did that affect their quality of work? Not at all. They were very professional, punctual and knowledgeable. Most importantly, something that really matters to me, is that they were very honest. I wanted to get my vents cleaned and I didn’t know much about the same. I was previously given a big quote in the past. They checked and told me that my vents were quite clean and I wouldn’t benefit much from cleaning, saving well above a grand.

A Friday afternoon, in the middle of a scorching heat wave we suddenly lost our A/C. The old unit was due for replacement. I launched a search for an A/C contractor, met with several which I promptly wrote off as not suitable. I was looking for quality, performance and price. Could not find it.
After several years in the Oil Industry building major systems for the on/off shore duty I can detect quality and performance. I was out of suitable options.
On Saturday, a colleague of mine suggested I go to website called ThumbTack. After entering pertaining data a name came up: Excel Air, Houston.
Called Excel Air, spoke with Mauricio and three hours later I had his best technician visiting with us. His name is Lalo Luna. Lalo came to discuss our case in detail and offer solutions. His presentation and proposal far exceeded my expectations. He walked with the order to install a new A/C unit.
The A/C unit was installed as contracted. Lalo’s crew (Nate and Moises) performing the actual installation went beyond their call of duty to meet our requirements.
Bottom line: Excel Air is the premier A/C contractor in Texas.
