Allan is very professional plumber. He knows his profession very well. Allan provided a quick solution to our emergency lack of water problem due to a broken pipe. Allan acted quickly so we can recover the water flow at home. He also provided an assessment of other external faucets and gave a quick cost estimate for the needed job. Allan was very honest with what can he do with the materials he had available. We would like Allan comes back to fix the other external faucets and carry out the plan he has outlined in the cost estimate assessment.

We had a fantastic experience with this plumbing company from start to finish. They replaced our sewer line and did an excellent job. The team was professional, punctual, and incredibly thorough. Highly recommend them for any plumbing needs!

Tonight I was reminded that there are still genuinely good people in this world. My Navien tankless hot water heater stopped working right after CenterPoint repaired a gas leak on their side, and I was completely stressed trying to figure out how to get it fixed. Nick — who is not only a plumber but also services HVAC and is an electrician — showed up with kindness, patience, and a heart of gold.

He stayed far longer than expected just to make sure my son and I had hot water tonight. He listened to my story, understood the situation I was in, and when I asked what I owed him… he said nothing. I was speechless. In a world where everything feels expensive and rushed, God sent me someone honest, compassionate, and truly selfless.

Nick deserves everyone’s business. People like him are rare. I still have a little more work that needs to be done, and as soon as I can get the money together, he’s absolutely my guy.

I noticed a leak on a water heater and called for a quote for a water heater replacement job. They was able to come out the next day, and they not only gave me a competitive quote but they were able to get the work done the same day. Dorian and team did a great job, clean fast and up to code. If you call these plumbers once, you may as well put them on speed dial. We have never had alto call a plumbing company so much as Scanlan & Sons Plumbing. Every time Scanlan & Sons’ Plumbers were called to fix our plumbing problems, they had to return.... again, again, again, and again... Well, at least until we stopped using them and called another plumbing company. Since, we have not had very many plumbing issues at all.

We gave up on them. We had toilets replaced and they were great..then we asked about getting a shower redone. Gave us an estimate, we paid 1/2 down, the shower was demo’d, and we never heard from the guy again. We tried many times to contact them, then decided it was best to move on and cut our losses. We do not recommend Scanlan and sons at all. Unless you like to lose money. 🤨😢

Unreliable. After Hurricane Harvey I scheduled a service date to have my water heater removed which came and went without Scanlan showing up. When I called the gentleman I talked to apologized profusely. He seemed nice enough and it was undoubtedly a hectic time for everyone so I agreed to re-schedule the service a couple of days later. Again Scanlan didn't show up. They haven't called or otherwise communicated with me since. This created a domino effect of problems with other contractors I had queued up and ultimately cost me money because certain work had to be re-done once the water heater was finally removed by a different plumbing company. I can't speak to their plumbing work, but their organizational skills aren't at a professional level.

10/10 stars! Miguel was absolutely fantastic, he showed me exactly what was wrong with my unit and replaced the part within 2 minutes. I am beyond grateful because no AC in Houston is no joke.

So happy with my service and the quick turnaround time with not only scheduling but the service as well. I will 100% recommend to any and all friends.

You can check my reviews on other products and services. I am honest in my assessments, because I want others to benefit from my experiences. After getting HVAC assessments and prices from two competitor companies, I called Nick's (on 12-15) for a third opinion. I was pleasantly surprised by their responses:

1. Customer Service - Nick's sent a technician the same day that I called. They let me know who my technical inspector would be, with a full report of his background and experience. They specified the exact time that the technical inspector would arrive and their promised time was exactly accurate.

2. Professionalism - The Inspector (Roberto Santos) was positive in his assessment of the AC system issues and he offered me a reasonable set of options on how to proceed with repairs. I never felt pressured to make a decision, nor did I feel like they were selling me on any upgrades. The 'hard-sell' was something that both competitor companies tried with me.

My wife and I decided to proceed with Nick's for the repair and replacement.

3. Technician Efficiency - The technical team (led by Salvador Garcia) arrived the NEXT DAY (12-16) and began installation of our system. It's important to note that we made this purchase during our mild Texas winter and not in peak summer months. Still, the response time was amazing! The team worked with such efficiency that the job took exactly 8 hours - 7am to 3pm and the guys wouldn't even stop to take a break (although they did accept the waters and snacks that I insisted on them). They completed the whole job including system testing in the time that Nick's stated for the job.

4. Follow-up customer care - When the job was completed, I received a follow-up call (from Jeff) to see how the job went and if I had any questions. On Saturday (12-20), I did have some questions regarding a lower panel that seemed to have been left off of the compressor (Trane Model 5TTR5048A1000AA) and I called that day (on a Saturday). Jeff was there at the office to address my questions. He investigated that model at his warehouse and found that Trane had shipped multiple models without that panel. He sent a technician (Dylan Chapman) out the same day to make sure that everything was attached correctly and to add additional electrical insulation to a couple of wires from any possible humidity, while Jeff contacted the Trane manufacturer with my concerns and to find out why that aesthetic lower panel was left off of my (and other) compressors that Nick's had recently received from Trane.

Follow-Up Monday - 12-22-2025: Jeff called me back, this morning, to let me know that the manufacturer is shipping the lower panel and that Nick's will install it as soon as it arrives in Houston. No hidden charges - no additional cost, just great customer care and value for my money. That is why I recommend Nick's to you, the reader of this review, and I am recommending Nick's to my friends for HVAC and Plumbing work.

They understand that great service and products is the formula for a great business and for keeping loyal customers!

All I needed was my sink to be snaked and unclogged. They charged me almost $400 for 15 minutes of work. Won’t be calling Nick’s again. Don’t get ripped off people.

Jose' came out to service and evaluated my 2 A/C units. He was very knowledgeable and did a very good job cleaning the units. His demeanor was pleasant and I appreciate his professionalism.
