Installation went smoothly. The property owner and property manager are awaiting printible email copies of documents signed at installation. We will be able to recommend this service once we receive the documents.

Had them come out to service both of our systems in the home we just purchased (Dwaine was great!). Found out that we had 2 tons over what we actually needed in the house. This was causing humidity issues in the house. We ended up replacing both systems and a duct cleaning. Guys that came were professional and got both full systems done in a single day. They also went the extra mile and screwed in some plywood in the attic so we could more easily access to one of our hot water heaters. Would highly recommend.

We requested a free estimate through Lowe’s for a water heater replacement. An Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical representative came out the next day, but the experience quickly turned negative.

The salesperson told us he drove 1.5 hours and had already purchased a water heater for installation, despite the fact that we never approved any work and only asked for an estimate. The entire interaction felt high-pressure and manipulative, as if we somehow owed them something just because they showed up prepared.

This sales tactic made us extremely uncomfortable and left a very bad impression. A free estimate should never come with guilt, pressure, or assumptions of commitment.

Because of this experience, we will never consult or use this company again, and we strongly caution others to be careful if all you want is an estimate.

Waste of $100. I had factory reset a thermostat and needed someone to configure the thermostat for me. I went with this company because they didn't charge a service fee. The technician they sent, Soufiane Tabsart, was both lazy and sloppy and did absolutely nothing. He told me he would get my thermostat taken care of for $100 and I agreed and signed off. All he did was restore the heat and ac to the default settings which I had done before already. What I needed done was an actual configuration regarding the ventilation, air filters, etc. He did absolutely nothing and the whole time he either tried to upsell me for their VIP membership or tried to make small talk about anime that I had 0 interest in. I asked him to check a fresh air damper and he said oh yeah it's fine it's running but didn't even look at the settings. What a rip-off and I highly recommend steering away from this company. Plenty of other HVAC contractors out there who will actually do their job.

Abacus should really check their messages and customer complaints before sending a request for a Google review. The technician that came out, while very nice, was not the right technician for the job. My son and daughter-in-law, actually found the leak. The technician said that we just needed to have the tub re-caulked, but that he could not do it so he handed my son a tube of caulk. And because my carpet and some sheet rock had gotten slightly wet, they sent out a restoration company called Bionic’s. The guy who came in tried the scare tactic and then wanted to charge me $1600. I guess they saw an older couple and decided we were an easy target. The original technician also told me that they had a guy that would come out and repair the original trap door that had to be removed. But when I called, I got nothing but run around. I called through Customer Care. The young lady took my message, passed it to a manager, who never called me but proceeded to tell the Customer Care rep to call me back and tell me that I needed a contractor to rip out all my tile. Also on my initial call, I had three items that I wanted them to fix…none of which were done. The technician again was not the right technician for the job.

I will never ever call Abacus again. They clearly do not care about a long-term customer. Such a shame.

Abacus always comes through no matter what. I’ve used their services several times and the customer service and tech support with the tracker is amazing so I can plan my day around the technician’s schedule. Their prices are the best around and you’re always going to have a professional arrive to handle your needs. I wish every company operated with such professionalism and still stayed more than reasonable with their rates as you guys do. I saved y’all to my contacts and favorites. I know I’ll be calling y’all again for another repair eventually.

I scheduled an appointment to have Abacus to come out to assess a clogged kitchen sink. Prior to calling them, I'd already determined that their was a clog in my line, so knowing this, I assumed that it wouldn't cost much to repair, especially since I've had prior experience working for a plumbing company that did commercial and residential services. So, when the service guy came out to assess my issue for the clogged sink, I was shocked when he said it would cost $500.00 to repair. What was even more shocking 😲 is that he never looked under the sink or pulled out one tool , but yet in still he quoted me an outrageous 😳 quote for $500.00, In which I replied, " you must be crazy 🤪 ". I told him that he might as well turn around and walk out my door if he thought that I was going to pay $500.00 for a minor clog. I ended up calling another ethical and honest plumber who wasn't price gouging and he came out to assess the problem. This plumber didn't quote me a price until he made an attempt to snake the line, first. He ran the line, a few times until the line became clear and the water was flowing without backing up, and the problem was solved. I was charged a $125.00, which was more 🤔 like a reasonable price. I think Abacus has unethical practices and 👎 ISN'T TRUSTWORTHY. How can you give a $500.00 quote on something that you didn't even look at. WHAT HAPPENED TO HONESTY AND INTEGRITY ????? I would NEVER recommend ABACUS to ANYONE !!! If I could give Abacus a ZERO rating I would !!!!

I had requested a water heater flush, but after conversation with the tech we agreed that with the age of my old unit, I should just replace it. Since he was already there I went forward, although I should have waited and gotten other estimates as I feel the cost was very much on the high side. It took 6-7 hours because the tech had to work alone and wait for a long delivery of the unit. Also I was given a sheaf of paperwork but no verbalized information on the warranty and that a City inspection would be necessary. The tech was very nice, but he didn't give me much information after the lengthy installation. When I called about the warranty paperwork the person I spoke to acted like I was asking for something I should have known; she also told me the only way the warranty would be good is if I had the unit flushed every year which was also news to me; and it was the same with the person who called to schedule the City inspection which I was unaware of. It's done now, but I feel I overpaid and my business was not appreciated.

We were pleased with the work performed by Jonathan Garcia during the annual home plumbing inspection. In addition, Terry Tfrrrt and Jacoby Turner did an excellent job of installing a new hot water heater. They completed the installation very quickly and completely. They were very careful and cleaned up the work site before they left. Adolfo Poa completed the hot water tank installation by resetting and caulking the cap, the storm collar and painting both. We were very
pleased with all the work done.

I've been dreading replacing my water heater for years (it was 23 yrs old - 2003). I was recommended an Abacus representative by the CenterPoint Gas guy that replaced my old gas meter. That Rep. "Jason Wells" contacted me right away and came to my house in an hour. He walked me through my options (the Gas guy said it wasn't safe for him to re-light my water heater because of rust and water in pan), including great financing of 18 months with no interest. His installers came the next day (Saturday) at the time I wanted and removed the old heater, installed the new one, and all new pipes and fittings, and had the water to my house turned back on in an hour and a half. Everyone that I have worked with at Abacus has been very friendly and professional. I am so happy with them that I am cancelling my One Hour Service contract and going with Abacus' contract that will give me plumbing, electrical, and HVAC service.

    I HIGHLY recommend Abacus!

My compressor went out and the disconnect box was burnt. The technician quoted me almost $8,000 to do the work and told me that the compressor was out of warranty. Then I received an additional estimate for a compressor cool pack in the amount of $1,030.00, which was completely unnecessary and was not discussed with me.

I called two other companies that told me the cost Abacus was charging was over-inflated. Another AC repair company came out to inspect and contacted the manufacturer and found that the compressor was actually in warranty. Instead of the $9,000 coats quoted by Abacus, the total cost to replace the compressor and the disconnect box was $1,950.00.

Justin did an outstanding job! He called with his ETA. Arrived and assessed the issue and able to get the repairs done. Easy payment process and sent receipt via email. I will be contacting them again for more work that is needed.

The Tech was extremely polite and respectful , he was patient while I was describing my furnace issues. Afterwards he went right to work on the furnace and thermostat. After completing the furnace inspection my furnace issue was resolved.
I was completely satisfied with the results and my furnace is working perfectly. Job well done 👍
Thank you Abacus. On another note Abacus was upfront about the price. I wasn’t charged for the
Tech coming to my home And they checked ✅ to see if my furnace was still under warranty.
Kudos to Abacus, Your TV ad describes you guys
    Perfectly.

Complete nightmare. On 11/12/25, a technician came to my home. All I wanted was a replacement for my thermostat. I agreed for a full on inspection. He said my air vacs needed cleaning and it was going to be $4283.80. Then he said I needed a whole new AC that is only 10 years old. He said ACs only last for 10 years. I agreed to get a new AC and he quoted me 15k for a new AC. For whatever reason, he needed to check my circuit breaker. He said I needed a new circuit breaker and quoted 6k for a new circuit breaker. I just kept thinking when was this all going to end. That evening I called a smaller company for a 2nd opinion. The smaller company quoted $1900 for the air vacs cleaning and the tech said there was absolutely nothing wrong with AC. It made me wonder what the tech was going to do with my old AC that still runs perfectly well. The next day I called Abacus very upset because I felt I was taken advantage of. I live by myself and ACs are not my expertise. I was told repeatedly that I would get a refund, but that never happened. They have been lying to me all this time. I tried to file a complaint on the Better Business Bureau, but they said to leave a review. This has been a complete nightmare. This is a very dishonest company. Stay as far from them as possible.

The Abacus team did a great and quick job replacing our water softener after we noticed our water pressure had dropped significantly. Fast diagnosis and next day installation before the freeze set in. A bit pricey but something I won’t have to worry about for many years to come. Thanks!

He came in and did the maintenance on our system which they installed. We have the VIP program so we have two calls a month to check everything. He did a great job and gave us some recommendations on services that need to be preformed.

Every one of them is professional and detailed in their explanations and does an excellent job!
Answered all my questions and worked with my budget based on my needs.
I have used them before in plumbing, water heater, water softener and never disappoint.
Would recommend this company if you need a professional job well done. They go above and beyond my expectations each time!

I have used Abacus three times in the past year. I've had an electrician and two plumbers. All three were excellent. I found them to be polite and professional. Their response time is always phenomenal. Abacus prices are always reasonable and customer service is the best by far compared to other companies I have used. They absolutely care about their work and someone always calls after tge job to follow up on customer satisfaction. Abacus is definitely my go to for service work!

I had a fantastic experience with this plumber. They were extremely professional, arrived on time, and quickly identified and cleaned out the clogged pipe with no hassle at all. The quality of their work was top-notch, and the price was very affordable, especially compared to other companies I checked.

They explained everything clearly, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was running perfectly before leaving. I highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done—professional service, excellent results, and low cost!

BEWARE – Get a Second Opinion
I called ABACUS Electric after receiving a fire hazard alert from my Ting monitor and needing an electrician to investigate.
The technician checked the breakers and very quickly concluded—without thorough investigation—that the underground conduit was damaged. I was told I needed a new 200-amp service lateral approximately 150 feet long, a full service upgrade, saw-cutting and repairing three driveways, and a new 200-amp panel to meet code.
    The estimate: $57,972.00, with a 5-year warranty.
I told him I would need to get another estimate. His response was, “If you need a tooth pulled, are you going to get another estimate?”
That comparison was inappropriate. As a responsible consumer, getting a second opinion on a repair costing tens of thousands of dollars is not only reasonable—it’s smart.
Thankfully, I did call another electrician. They actually investigated and noticed fluctuating voltage readings from my Ting monitor. They explained that Ting only reads the phase supplying the outlet it’s plugged into, so they tested multiple locations. That led them to the real issue: a loose neutral wire in an electrical box, causing a floating neutral and dangerous voltage fluctuations.
The problem was repaired properly and safely for $473.88.
    My takeaway:
Beware of service calls that don’t thoroughly investigate but are quick to propose massive, expensive repairs. What’s concerning is that some homeowners might not know to question a $57,972 estimate. Always get a second opinion—especially when safety and large sums of money are involved.
