(Winter 2026) Sakis and Aaron did our semi-annual checkup Monday. Full diagnostics and thorough visual inspection of the heat pump compressor and attic auxiliary heat strips and fan. Sakis fixed a minor resonant vibration noise in the outer case of the compressor unit. Very professional as usual, on time appointment with timely text notifications and positive photo ID of the tech that was coming. Explained everything they were doing.
(Summer 2025) Got our semi-annual system maintenance and checkup today. System is running great. Great professionalism as usual. Good appointment system and they keep their appointments, now even sending on-their-way texts with service person's photo. Wish all our services vendors were this professional!
(Summer 2021) One of our heat pump compressors has been struggling to startup in recent months and our regular 6-month tech checkup indicated very high start current draws suggesting the compressor was beginning to fail. (Start kit itself checked out OK.) Given the time of year, the age of the system and current global logistics delays we elected to replace the system before it completely failed. Tom and Marcus did a terrific, careful job removing the existing system components and then did a great job to re-prep the attic and outside installation sites. They also did a nice job installing two new small ceiling returns and ducts to provide more return air to better match the system capacity. The a/c and heating component installations went very well, and the system is running well. They did a great, very professional job and did a terrific clean-up job. The job was completed on-time and per the quote. Very nice guys. Listened to our questions and helped us to make informed decisions. Will continue to use Dr. Cool.
(2020) Our system was cooling, but started making strange startup sounds and taking longer to cool a couple of days ago. The office quickly scheduled Angelo to come out the next day. Angelo was here at the scheduled time and diagnosed the problem quickly. He walked us through the problems he found and showed us the parts that were the cause and what he was going to replace. He repaired the system and was careful to double check that the system was working correctly again. Thanks, Angelo & Dr. Cool! These folks are the best and always courteous and professional. We've been using them for many years and will continue to do so.

Allan & Paul from Dr. Cool & Professor Heat in League City made the installation of my new Lennox complete system a smooth & seamless process. Both friendly & professional, they worked efficiently as a team to assure that my home was cooling like a champ & and that i could operate the newly placed thermostat with confidence, leaving no question unanswered. Leaving my home clean & without a trace of their ever having been there was the icing on the cake! Great job guys 👍👍

Fantastic service from Doctor Cool! My AC shut down and another AC company came out and said that we needed a complete replacement unit. Before paying out the $14,000 quoted price, I called Doctor Cool for a second opinion. The technician (Devin) was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It took him about 15 minutes to determine that the issue wasn't a failed unit, but simply a bad low voltage wire. For only the cost of a service call, he had our system back up to speed in half an hour. Doctor Cool has earned a loyal customer and when it is time to replace this unit, they will be getting my business.

Had a huge storm go through my neighborhood yesterday and later in the day I realized I had no hot water. Called today and Michael came out within 3hrs(it’s a Sunday and so they have a roster of techs that follow up but not the entire force) Apparently the winds were so strong - and yes they were wicked strong, with a giant lightning strike across the street- that they blew air into the vents and blew out the pilot. Michael was professional and pleasant and knowledgeable, explained everything in detail.
Charge was basically the service fee that I was informed of beforehand.

Eddie Clark with Dr. Cool professor heat. The maintenance technician came out to do a maintenance on my residential system and he told me of any potential problems that might happen in the future. He's a great technician and I would definitely like to have him come back out sometime in the near future..

Sakis was great with my estimate. He carefully looked at my system and had suggestions for better airflow to my hot living room. His bid came in almost half of the second quote I got - with the other saying there was no solution to my problem. Then JT and Terrance came to install. Very professional and courteous. Was very impressed with their hard work. So far, so good!

I bought my air conditioner about 3 years ago from Dr. Cool and Professor Heat. I had an issue with my air conditioner on Saturday morning and called to report the issue which was an answering service. Katie from their office called me back within about a minute and told me a technician would be calling me. About 5 minutes later their technician Bruce called me and said he would be there in about 30 minutes. I was overwhelmed with how rapidly they reached out and helped resolve the issue. Their staff has regularly been second to none in professionalism and genuine care for people and in providing great service. I can't say enough good things and how grateful I am to have them there to call on!!!

Dr. Cool & Professor Heat are fantastic! From start to finish, the service was smooth and professional. Chasity is truly the best! :) she took the time to explain everything in detail, walked me through all my options, and made sure I found the best price possible. It’s rare to find someone so knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend them for anyone needing HVAC services! ;) ;)

Update: Overpriced & Incompetent. Dr Cool charged >$1,000 for 4lbs of freon and said they could not find a leak. 2 weeks later, AC broken again. Called another company who refilled freon for $200 and found the leak.

After a new HVAC system was installed, Paul & Allan spent a couple of hours adjusting the balance of AC in all of our rooms! We're so pleased that we aren't living with hot rooms, freezing rooms & blowing air. They put in new registers, dampers & created custom baffles in the ductwork, then cleaned up after themselves. Thanks so much!!

After getting 4 estimates for a complete HVAC upgrade including all Duct work in the attic( I had 5 scheduled but when Trevor from Morrow Mechanical showed up and saw he there were other HVAC Companies giving me estimates, He stated" this is not our kind of job"(?!) and left), I felt Dr. Cool was the Company that I was willing to trust to do the job the most professionally with superior products. In the end they exceeded my expectations and I now have a 100 percent efficient System that is fully Warrantied for 10 years. Thanks to Devin for building value in Dr. Cool Professor Heat and convincing me of his ability to meet all my concerns on this Project and a big shout out to JR and Jimmy who did one of the cleanest installs I have ever seen. If you need anything HVAC related, you would be remiss if you didn't give this Company an opportunity to help you.

Professional group of technicians and installers. We unfortunately needed both of our original AC units replaced in 6 months time. Everyone we worked with was just fantastic. Rest assured you are getting solid advice when you work with Dr Cool.

I just cannot thank Allan and Paul enough for their service today! Our AC went out yesterday, on Labor Day, no less. We were so grateful that we were able to get a technician over here and were hoping it could be fixed. Unfortunately, we had a leak and a part was going to be required to fix it. We were told today that it would probably be the next day before someone could come out, but Allan and Paul got done early at one of their jobs and came over to fix our AC. They were incredibly nice, professional and got the job done quickly and now we have AC again. Thank you to Doctor Cool Professor and Heat for not only sending someone out on Labor Day, but sending Allen and Paul today and helping us get our AC working again!

JULY 2022 UPDATE: THREE YEARS AFTER PURCHASING $7k TRANE:
During the 115 degree heatwave, my THREE YEAR OLD 3.5 ton 16 seer Trane went out. I called, a girl answered the phone around 7pm. She couldn't find me in their system, but said she would be able to in the morning (again, it's 115 degrees). They advertise that they’re open 24/7 but that’s a crock of c#&*! Then to add salt to the wound, she asked me if I was in some elite member club (paying for the prepaid maintenance they forced on me on top of a $7K A/C wasn't enough) when I said no I had no idea what "club" she was referring to - she said, "oh then we can't get to you until Thurs (this was Tues!!!). I hung up and called someone else that came right out immediately. Doctor Cool is in League City and I'm in North Houston and they just didn't feel like driving to help a customer that spent $7K +prepaid maintenance plan with them. They sure didn't mind driving it when they were making the sale!

They also told me every time they came out every six months for my pre-paid maintenance that my furnace was about to go out any second (that was 2019, it's 2025 now and it's still going strong so basically there was NOTHING wrong with my furnace, it was an upsell and they wanted to charge me $5K for a new one by using fear tactics).

I really liked the salesman Nick, but he left (shocker) and I have no respect for this company whatsoever and would never recommend them to anyone. EVER.

My 8yo Goodman’s compressor went out and I contacted several companies. They all came out, but none of them could come close to Doctor Cool! They all told me my AC was five pounds low on the outdated Freon and wanted to charge me $500 just to put Freon in it with no guarantee that it won’t leak out in a week. I got prices for new ACs and again, Doctor Cool was $1,000 cheaper! I got a 3.5 ton Trane for less than the quotes for American Standard and Goodman systems.

Call and ask for Nick Squier, he is incredible! Super sharp, very knowledgeable about their products and is a very nice guy! He actually filled my old unit with five pounds of Freon just so I could be comfortable until the new unit was installed.

The warranty was much better and they also installed a slab to raise the outside unit to avoid lawn debris on the coils.

I highly recommend Nick Squier with Doctor Cool!! Tell him I sent you, I promise nobody can touch these guys!!! I’m so happy!

Less than 3 year old unit, compressor needs replaced and quoted $2200 in labor charges 3-4 hours work + $493 for Friday call out with no fix. Could not be more upset with this situation.

Dr. Cool & Professor Heat maintenance call. We get 2 maintenance checks for approximately $188. Technicians found leak on unit. Will be repaired at no charge because is under warranty! Than you!

People are very nice, but we have been dealing with our unit for 6 months and still not fixed. Unfortunately, nice doesn’t work. Any reputable company would offer to replace the unit by now. Also, they will talk elderly people into purchasing things they don’t need. Highly dissatisfied.

Smiley was our technician for an AC check up and he was spectacular. He not only accommodated doing things quietly for my sleeping baby, but he went above and beyond cleaning our vent covers and getting pictures of everything he checked. It was a great experience!
