This comment is for their most recent visit, which was for the installation of a drain pan and a float switch. Joshua et al showed up on time, finished the installation + QC expeditiously and we're gone in no time. Such a pleasant experience!

We bid out our the replacement of two units. 2 ton and a 5 ton. We chose Southern Comfort Mechanical due to the professional way they reviewed the old system including the third unit which needed some repair including pictures of everything . Gave us clear reason what they recommended. Jacob G. Was outstanding he gave heads up when he would arrive showed up on time followed up The installers were great and Jacob checked everything and set our thermostats as well as repaired the wiring on the the other unit. They were outstanding in every way. Thanks Southern Comfort. Highly recommend them If you want it done right.

They always show up on time and are knowledgeable. Very communicative and easy to get in touch with. Prices are reasonable. Great company! Jonathan solved a problem with our plumbing for our AC system that no one had been able to do in the last 20 years living in this house! He is great !

Update from 2025- this company is great! They actually show up when you make an appointment and they even call 20 minutes before to let you know they’re on their way! Marilyn was great and very helpful. Definitely recommend !!

So Southern Comfort does plumbing now! We needed to have our water heater replaced and our plumber, Brian, was amazing. So nice and courteous! He made sure to have everything back up in running in a flash without leaving a mess. Plus great pricing. We will definitely be calling them for all our plumbing needs.

Tommie and the team were absolutely fantastic! We were so pleased with the new Trane AC / furnace we got for our downstairs, that we immediately called them when we needed a new AC /furnace for our upstairs. Very friendly, outgoing, professional and do great work. We could not be happier and our house be any cooler! Highly recommend Southern Comfort Mechanical.

8/20/25 Travis came out today to check a problem in my attic. He saw where my fan on my roof was leaking water due to the rain today. I will be getting a roof repair person. Southern Comfort is such a great company.

He did a good job. Joshua came back today with the heater part. He replaced the old one with the new one. He did a great job.

1/20/25 Ivan returned today to close up the gap. From the pictures he showed me he did a great job. Hopefully this will cut the little breeze that has been felt in the den for several years.

Jacob did a good job today on my heater check. 10/15/25. He also changed my air filter.

Joshua came to check for possible carbon monoxide leaking from the heater. He checked in my attic and found some of my decking that should have been replaced back in September when a new roof was put on. He is a very nice man and a great worker. Southern Comfort is a great company.

Brain the plumber is quick on checking the plumbing. Nice person. He said everything looked fine.

I used to have a 5 star review here. Until I've just found out all the thousands I've paid to SCM over the years have actually caused the most expensive of the issues (they alleged) that needed to be fixed. Recently SCM stated I needed new inducer motors and a complete coil replacement (with trane, not carrier) parts. However the actual core issue was the plenums I paid them thousands to install causing downstream exterior cosmetic problems which resulted in SCMs false recommendation to entirely replace coils. As to the inducer motors, I myself cleared a blockage (with the other techs supervision) in under 5 minutes that rectified the issue, no need to spend that money either.

I've had to pay another provider to undo all of SCMs work over the years and now the system runs well. Instead of 4k-6k in recommended repairs by SCM I simply had to remove a blockage and pay someone else to undo the incorrect plenum work they did. I have completely clean coils, a working system that has been suboptimal for years, and a running furnace for about a grand, not the 4k-6k SCM wanted (for a Frankenstein unit with trane parts).

They showed up in the middle of a terrible winter storm within two hours and got my AC Heat system running again. Nathan was my rep and he did a fantastic job!

Jacob did a great job fixing my furnace on this very cold day. He was most helpful and informative advising me on next steps.

Brian and the dispatcher were a pleasure to work with and the job was completed great. They also kept me informed of the cost and when Brian would arrive. I would use them again.

Joshua was very professional and polite. He was here to perform a yearly maintenance on our VAC units. I would highly recommend this company.

Nathan did a fantastic job of assessing our situation and giving us his professional perspective of different options for HVAC concerns related to an expansion project being considered. He also helped us identify a way to zone a portion of our home to help balance the HVAC.

Southern Comfort Mechanical and Joshua came to our rescue. Joshua braved the ice to get our heater downstairs working on one of the coldest days in 5 years in Texas!!! Thanks Joshua & Southern Comfort- you guys are amazing- We can sleep comfortably tonight.
